Some actors are made for the big screen, some for small screen. Dunno why people usually give more recognition and accolades to movie actors. We should salute those who work day in and day out to entertain the fans every day, not only once or twice a year. Sarah Jessica (can't remember her name she was Carrie in Sex and The City) was not famous for her movie roles, but gained global fame for her role in this TV drama. Loads of people love her. Maybe Sameer's destiny or kismat is with the small screen.

Sameer was very popular then movie star among desi fans coz his JKR was dubbed more than 4 indian languages, he was popular in all middle class indian by his amazing acting in JKR,i wonder in IF he have less fans

I am not an expert on the Indian movie industry, but i get the impression that to succeed in Bollywood, one has to over-act. Bollywood directors and many movie-goers do not appreciate the natural school of acting. Sameer belongs to the natural actor. I've read many of his fans' comments - the reason why they like him is because he doesn't overact. To be a Bollywood star, you have to over-act like Aksahy Kumar and Salman Khan. Totally not natural at all. Not my cup of tea. In the Hong Kong and Chinese movie industry, on the other hand, the winners of the top industry awards like the Golden Horse award (Chinese equivalent of the Oscars) tend to be natural actors.

yeh,now i am chennai,here Sameer have huge fans...becoz his two shows aired in tamil.
JKR still not left out among his tamil audiens &he rock as siddharth in MTPH (seetha)

He is very good with all his work,but for me MTPH is number one,he brought sid to life,that's just out of the world,no words to express,thanks to actors and Rajshree production to show us such a lovely touching moments.sorry guys This is not MTPH forum,but I am giving my thanks to sameer for his brilliant work as Sid,Gangarao and Raj.Even I watched his Marathi serial- Mann Udhan Varyache.His marathi film Nirop got National award,it's produced by his wife.

MPTH brilliant piece of work relationship between a husband and a wife was potrayed on this show was really well done i'v never seen anything like it before it was so unique and so realistic.The show has really touched my heart the actors played there characters very well. Sameer should beat all others and become number one star

That is my wish for him. For me he is already a biggest star honestly I don't see any one close to him as per his acting skills.
