YMGGK Written Update - Dec. 2nd, 2010

Kanika is on the phone and rejoicing the fact that she exposed Prakash. Just then, Karan taps on her shoulder to get her attention. Kanika turns around in shock and answers hesitantly. Karan asks, "That auto-rickshaw driver must've been a real nuisance, right?" Kanika tries to put on a pretense, "Yes brother. I was really scared." Karan verifies, "You were scared of Prakash?" Kanika is shocked to realize that Karan is aware of the truth. She tries to turn away. Karan pulls her arm, turning her around and angrily confronts, "Had you feared or felt a shame, then you would've never committed this filthy act. You gave me the license number of Prakash's rickshaw purposefully." Kanika again tries to hide her deed but Karan scolds her, "Because of you, we've already suffered enough humiliation and now they are suffering too. Don't expect us to forgive you if you ever repeat a similar mistake, are we clear?" Kanika hesitantly answers and Karan makes her say "Sorry." As he walks away, Kanika fiercely expresses her annoyance with Prakash.

The scene switches to Abha who takes Pratibha to her room. She lovingly consoles Pratibha and asks her, "Who told you to hide inside the cupboard?" Pratibha answers, "I was playing hide n seek with Shelly and Yasho." Abha is worried and feels that Mother is in danger from her own. She will have to do something. Pratibha continues to tell her the details that Shelly and Yasho offered to play hide n seek but when she hid in the cupboard, she felt scared that no one came to find her. Pratibha begins to cry and Abha comforts her. Just then Karan walks in. Abha notices him and wants to tell Karan the truth. She coaxes Pratibha to repeat what she just told her. Pratibha denies stating that she is hungry and requests for 'Kheer.' Abha tries to entice her that she will make the most delicious 'Kheer' and bring dolls for her but she must tell Karan who told her to hide in the cupboard. Pratibha childishly denies, and repeats that she is very hungry. Abha tries again but Karan pauses her. He doesn't feel that there is someone behind this act; he recommends that they must take care of Pratibha's condition first. Abha agrees and suggests consulting with Dr. Batra. Karan agrees and wants Abha to take it easy with Pratibha.

Thakur's House

Prakash is folding his driver's uniform when Sheetal tells him, "Prakash dear, had you told us about your job, we would've looked for a girl accordingly. We wouldn't have looked for a match in a wealthy family." Chandra Prabha, Thakur, and Raghav are nearby and look alert. Sheetal expresses sadness due to the humiliation. Raghav begins to criticize but Thakur angrily interrupts that he is pleased with whatever happened. He proudly adds, "Today, I agree that I did not live my life righteously. Perhaps that's the reason why I could not have a job. But today what Prakash did has made me realize that a person is judged not because of his family but due to his work." Sheetal nods weakly. Thakur continues, "A person may become worthless but a job always holds value." Thakur looks into Prakash's eyes and says, "I am proud of you, son. Indeed, you are doing your job with honesty and integrity." Prakash is delighted. Chandra Prabha, Lata and Raghav are also elated. Prakash takes his parents' blessings. Sheetal looks ignorant.

Swarn Bhawan

Abha is going downstairs towards the kitchen with Pratibha to make 'Kheer' when Yasho is eyeing her suspiciously from a corner upstairs. Shelly approaches Yasho and incites her. Yasho shares her plan to develop rift between Karan and Abha due to misunderstandings. She tells Shelly to handle Abha while she moves towards Karan.

In the Kitchen, Abha advises Pratibha to play with Karan and herself only in the future and allures her that she has the most wonderful games. Pratibha is excited. Abha prepares to make 'Kheer.' Pratibha insists to help and begins to break cashews into pieces. Just then, Shelly walks in and throws on her pretense to be caring for Pratibha. Abha looks alert. Shelly offers Pratibha to come and watch cartoon. Pratibha is about to leave when Abha stops her. When Shelly questions, Abha harshly replies, "Because the love from some of our own can put Mother's life in danger." Shelly gets agitated and argues with Abha impudently. She accuses Abha for suspecting her. Abha replies that she is only reiterating what Mother told her. Shelly calls Mother crazy and Abha rebukes her.

The next scene shows Jaggu sitting all by himself when Yasho comes and settles next to him. She notices Jaggu is in deep thoughts and tries to take advantage of the moment. She says, "Life plays mysterious games. At this age, loneliness haunts us. It was fate that Pratibha was found after so many years but in such a condition that you can neither share your sorrows with her nor happiness." Jaggu expresses that the moments he spend with Pratibha were beautiful. This he has realized after losing her. He has no complaints even if Pratibha can't understand him. As long as she is with him, he feels relieved. Just then, Karan is walking down the stairs, confirming Pratibha's appointment with the doctor's office on the phone. Jaggu questions and Karan replies that he and Abha are thinking about consulting a psychiatrist for Pratibha. Yasho overhears and looks alarmed. Karan adds that since the doctor will be out of town for 10 days, he couldn't find an appointment sooner. Jaggu wishes that Pratibha gets well soon. Karan comforts him and offers to look at a 'redevelopment case' together. As soon as Jaggu and Karan leave, Shelly joins Yasho. (Doesn't she have anything better to do!! 🤢) Shelly notices the worry on Yasho's face and questions. Yasho answers, "In 10 days, we'll have to send Pratibha to mental asylum." Shelly looks evoked and wants to know more details. Yasho tells Shelly to follow.

Thakur House

Sheetal has just finished combing her hair and expresses her worry about becoming bald due to excessive hair loss. Lata chuckles. 😆 Sheetal adds that she is also suffering from dandruff and dry hair. (They seem to be advertising a product). Just then Lata pulls out a bottle and says, "Mami ji, not to worry. Just like me, you can also use Himalaya Herbal Protein Shampoo. You can use this everyday as it is organic and not harmful. If you use this everyday then your hair will become thick and lustrous. Sheetal looks pleased.

Just then, the telephone rings. Sheetal answers. Yasho is on the other line and it seems that she now wants to use Sheetal as her pawn. Yasho begins her flattery, "Sheetal ji, Shelly praises you a lot. She was saying that the only one who is smart and sensible at Abha's home is Sheetal. You can do anything." Sheetal is completely fooled and flattered. Yasho adds that she would like to ask for a special favor and if Sheetal completes it, she will reward her with the same gold necklace that she had found at her home. Sheetal is ecstatic and wants to know what she needs to do. Yasho tells her, "Not much! Just call Abha and keep her busy in a conversation as long as possible." Sheetal wants to know why but Yasho silences her with the greed for the necklace. Sheetal can't wait to put her hands on the necklace so she agrees. Yasho and Shelly exchange victorious looks and evil grins.

Swarn Bhawan

In the Kitchen, Abha begins to prepare 'Kheer'. Pratibha is sitting on the countertop near her. A caretaker comes and informs Abha that there is a call from her home. Abha wants to take Pratibha with her but Pratibha childishly denies because she wants to win a bet with Abha and finish crushing the nuts first. Abha lovingly advises her to not touch anything in the kitchen. Next, she clearly instructs the caretaker, Shyam, to remain with Pratibha until she return. As soon as Abha leave, guess who walks in? Yes, who else? It is Shelly. 🤢 She startles Pratibha by tapping on her shoulder. Shelly tells Shyam to go clean her room. Shyam hesitates that Madam had told him remain here til she returns. Shelly tells him that she will take care of Pratibha instead. Pratibha too immaturely tells Shyam to leave. Shyam leaves and Shelly pretends to get friendly with Pratibha. She notices the milk boiling on the stove and starts adding raisins and cashews in it. She also munches on the nuts and feeds a few to Pratibha. Next, she incites Pratibha, "You love Kheer, don't you? Well then, go ahead and have it all. Take it off stove and have it immediately." Pratibha is hesitant and replies that Abha told her not to touch anything. Shelly instigates Pratibha that the family members will finish it all if she doesn't have it right now. Pratibha is tempted. Shelly pulls her close to the stove and walks away.

Abha goes to answer the phone. It is Sheetal who begins to express how crestfallen she feels after Prakash's wedding proposal was canceled. Abha is worried about Pratibha but tells Sheetal, whatever happened has happened for good. Atleast Prakash won't have to falsify to work. Sheetal tries to keep her on the line saying she is now worried about Prakash's marriage. Abha continues to look towards the kitchen nervously and requests if they can continue this conversation later as she is busy in the kitchen. Sheetal does not let her go and begins to fabricate a proposal from her relative's daughter.

In the kitchen, Pratibha looks mischievous as the milk is boiling over.

Sheetal is not letting Abha go after her several attempts. Abha is extremely nervous and tells Sheetal that she has left Mother alone in the kitchen and she has to go. Sheetal ignores her and continues her nonsense. She insists that Abha tells her the recipe for 'Badam Halwa' as Sania has a temptation for it. Abha fails to get her off the phone and begins to tell her the recipe. Sheetal is sipping tea and listens ignorantly.

Suddenly, Pratibha screams from the kitchen as she drops the steaming pot on the floor. The boiling milk scatters on the floor and Pratibha falls on top of it. She is groaning in pain. Abha is flabbergasted to overhear and exclaims, "Mother!"

PRECAP: Shelly is instigating everyone that Mother is not safe to remain at home. Yasho is pretending to comfort Pratibha. Abha looks guilty and in tears. Shelly says, "Mother needs to be at a place where she is watched over 24/7. I feel that mental asylum is the right choice." Karan rebukes her.
