It is a story of every human being who shifts from home to home in every phase of their life! Everyone may relate to the high emotional quotient. Thanks to the author's skillful presentation of this theme, the emotional upheaval, the sentiment of loss and heaviness in heart, and the childhood memories all came to life and flashed before our eyes. A well written OS.
I could feel Anushka's sadness as she walked through her family's old house, could visualise her memories of days gone by and the difficulty of leaving it all behind. A wonderfully written story. Everything came to life in my mind's eye.

cant wait to read the winning entry
Brilliant!!!! I had goosebumps as I progressed through this 2000 limited words read.
Wonderful writing as I could actually feel the emotions that the girl was going through.
Congratulations once again
Personally I never stayed in one house for long from childhood, not by choice but by design. So not attached to any particular house.
But the way the story was written, I totally understood the state of Anushka's mind as she was walking through the yards and rooms and reminiscing the memories. Well narrated, well depicted and well flown story.
Nice work Mrina!
Cheers..
Take a bow, Mrina! What a heartwarming tale about a person's attachment to their house. Truly, house isn't just walls but countless memories assembled in it...and you have beautifully written about it!
Congratulations on the win!
