@bold: I always remember him when people ask me which books you don't like.😆

He doesn't exist for me🤣I hate him for making a lead of my name and not giving her actual character of any sort.🥺

The Harry Potter series.

Ariadne by Jennifer Saint

The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri

Amish Tripathi's books.

The Midnight Library was the most recent disaster I read.

Even I disliked The Fault in Our Stars.

I agree with Anam, you are the first person for me too who hasn't liked Harry Potter. I started reading it expecting to dnf it because I thought it's a children's book but ended up becoming one of those people who was obsessed with the HP series for years.😆 I recently got off it.

I have mixed feelings about Amish. I loved his Shiva Trilogy, specially the first two books. I didn't like the second series, the Ram Chandra series much.

Jhumpa Lahiri is such a loved author but whenever I read the synopsis for her books, I don't feel like reading them. Maybe a few years later I will be more aboe to appreciate them.

I was thinking about reading Ariadne because I loved reading similar books by Madeline Miller.

Thank you🤗

I thought Patterson is a really propular author. I havent read any of his work but I really want to, along with Agatha Christie

I agree. I loved how the story was full of twists but I would never accept his character turning negative.

I also liked that instead of a whole story based on us guessing who the criminal is because that was revealed at the beginning itself, so it let us focus on how the case would be solved instead and how the woman would escape

Have you read any more of his books?

Also did you read Mexican Gothic or was that someone else?

Patterson is one of the most popular authors of this genre. That's why I wanted to try one of his books and decided to start with a standalone. It's not a bad book, it keeps the reader engaged throughout, but I didn't think it's worth all that hype.

About Keigo Higashino. Suspect X was the first book of his that I read but I want to read more. I have Malice and and another of his books I don't remember the title of in my tbr for a long time but never got to reading them.

I started Mexican Gothic last month but never even reached the 50 page mark. I might finish it one day.

The Namesake is also a highly revered book but I think people liked the movie more than the book.

I have mentioned many times that HP series didnt interest me😆

Also agree with you about The Kiss Quotient. There was also something disturbing about abuse (if I remember correctly) so I was put off. Besides, the characters didn’t strike a chord with me. I am yet to read The Bride Test.

The Hating Game by Sally Thorne was a fun book that largely deserved the hype it got.

The Hating Game is still in my TBR list. I hope I enjoy it.

Also The Unhoneymooners I need to read!

I started reading Keigos other book called Salvation of a saint. I like it so far!

Who are your favorite writers in this genre and any specific books you recommend?

Those who read romance

Whats your opinion of Devney Perry. Nora Roberts and Danielle Steel?

Don't really remember that but if I'm not wrong, I think you once said that fantasy genre in general doesn't interest you, am I right? Or was that someone else?🤔

At least you can be sure that it wasn't just that one character. It's almost every single one of them.😆 I mostly find them all similar. Like of you've read a couple of his books, you can pretty much see how his other stories are going to unravel.

Which book? I haven't read them all and I can never remember names of the characters after a few days of reading a book.
