I felt more connected to the characters in part one

I thought its just me, because with most books especially historical I start losing interest after a few chapters😆

Hello 🤗 I had fallen sick.

I’ll go first -

TBR

1. In Cold Blood by Truman Capote

2. The Ba*tard of Istanbul by Elif Shafak

3. Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Book I’d like to recommend

I’m Thinking of Ending Things by Iain Reid

It’s a short book with a fantastic twist, the way its written keeps you wanting more.

TBR

1. Sadie by Courtney Summers

2. Forget Me Not by Q.B Tyler

3. Rule of Wolves by Leigh Bardugo

Book I'd like to recommend

The One by John Marrs

It might sound weird but although I loved this book, I didn't really feel connected to any of the characters in it. I mean, there was hardly anything in common. However, I did sympathize with them. It didn't even cross my mind until you mentioned it but now that I'm actually thinking about it, I can't think of any other book that I loved even when I didn't connect to the characters. In fact I ended up not liking some of the famous ones because of it like Fault in Our Stars and A Monster Calls.

The top three books on my TBR are:

1. The Shadow Of Gods by John Gwynne

2. The Eye Of The World by Robert Jordan

3. A Brief History Of Seven Killings by Marlon James.

I have two recommendations. Although I think my first recommendation is a book that everyone has already read.

1. Cat's Eye by Margaret Atwood

2. The Helm of Midnight by Marina J. Lostetter.

The second book is a fantasy and one of the best things I have read this year.

1. What do your bookshelves look like...chaotic or are they well organised?
2. Like me do you have the impulse to buy the most discussed books or do you just buy the ones you intend on keeping?

3. Do you like giving away books from time to time or do you like to have bookshelves overflowing with books?

A mixture of both actually. I keep my top shelves organised in alphabetical order but my bottom shelf is just crammed with the books that are my absolute favorites. I have the habit of reading passages from them and I can't be bothered to put them in their proper place everytime.

I was an impulse buyer but since I have the bad habit of dnfing books at the slightest provocation, I have started buying only those books I will keep.

Oh gosh, I can't give away books to save my life. You'd have to pry them from my stiff, cold fingers. Another reason why I buy only the books I intend to keep.

I couldnt relate to them either. But what I meant was I connected to their emotions better in part one. For me, part two lost the flow of the story.
