@Hinna, you were right. Homegoing is a good book. I started reading it only yesterday but I'm already finished. I do have a few doubts but overall it was quite an insightful story.

@Anam, thanks for this pick. I had come across the title a few times in GR. It was even recommended to me by GR after we read The Color Purple, but I never paid it much attention when this really was a book worth reading.

My TBR: (This is a never ending list😆)

1. Becoming by Michael Obama

2. Little Secrets by Jennifer Hillier

3. The Lost Man by Jane Harper

I'd also really really like to finish Hobbit and the rest of the LOTR series, and A Game of Thrones.

Book I’d like to recommend

1. The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller

2. The Tattooist of Auschwitz by Heather Morris

I'd also say Rebecca but we've already read that here, so not including that in this list.

I am yet to start reading Homegoing. I’m on a purging my bookshelf spree so I’m reading the books I don’t want to keep.

Managed to survive a six month book buying ban so I no longer see the sense in having books on my shelves that I am not likely to revisit.

A few questions about your bookshelves -

1. What do your bookshelves look like...chaotic or are they well organised?
2. Like me do you have the impulse to buy the most discussed books or do you just buy the ones you intend on keeping?

3. Do you like giving away books from time to time or do you like to have bookshelves overflowing with books?

Wow, 6 months is a long time. I'll never reach there.😆 I haven't actually bought any books since end of last year but if I see a free book on Kindle that looks interesting, I can't help downloading it. Then, there are the numerous other books that I keep downloading.

1. Well organised. Although the larger part of my library is virtual. My real bookshelf is filled with acadmic books, so the rest of the books live in cardboard boxes. But even they are organised. Even if the organisation makes no sense to anyone but myself.

2. Since I rarely buy real papar books, I mostly buy the ones I intend on keeping. Only sometimes do I buy the popular ones.

3. I'm really bad at giving my books away. Another's reason why I give a lot of consideration to the books I buy. I'd love to have a personal library overflowing with books. That'd be like a dream come true.

Have you girls had the time to come up with a tentative list of romance reads for next month?
