I'm back with a new show!😆
Kaise Yeh Rishtey Hai
Concept:
Kaise Yeh Rishtey Hai is loosely based off Saath Saath [Banayenge Ek Aashiyaan] and Rishton Ki Dor. It is the story of the wealthy Kapoor family, based in Delhi. The news of Yash Kapoor's marriage to Lali Malhotra has spread across Delhi, shocking many as Lali is a traditional simpleton. Prior to the wedding, the Kapoor family's eldest son Karan and his NRI wife Nikasha arrive at the Kapoor house from London, surprising everyone. The mother of the family is somehow convinced that Karan and Nikasha are at the house to stay, shocking the couple. After being asked to teach Lali the ways of the house, Nikasha is forced to give in. Will an NRI like Nikasha be teaching Lali the ways of the house, or will Lali end up teaching Nikasha? Will Nikasha be able to fit into the ever-traditional and old-fashioned Kapoor household?
Characters:
Balraaj Kapoor - 53: An old, yet well-kept man who is the head of the family. Balraaj is wise with experience, and optimistic. He wears dress-shirts and trousers daily. Husband of Seema. Father of Karan and Yash.
Seema Kapoor - 50: Yet again an old yet well kept woman, the mother of the family. She is loving, and very chirpy. She likes to have fun, but knows when to be serious and stern. Wife of Balraaj. Mother of Karan and Yash.
Karan Kapoor - 29: The ever hot, ever handsome, and headstrong lad of the house. He is the elder brother of the family. Karan is intelligent, and yet knows how to have fun. Karan is one of the serious types, who usually spends most of his time working. He moved to London 2 years ago to complete his education, where he eventually met Nikasha and got married to her. Son of Balraaj and Seema Kapoor. Husband of Nikasha.
Nikasha Aggarwal Kapoor - 26: Sweet, sexy, clumsy, serious, smart, and hard-working are just a few words to describe Nikasha. Nikasha has stayed in London her whole life, with her parents and brother. Nikasha is westernized, so she finds it a bit difficult to adjust with Karan's traditional family. Nikasha is a fashion designer by profession, and knows how to balance her work and family [husband in this case] life well. Staying in Delhi will be a complete culture shock for her, and she will find it very difficult to adjust there. Wife of Karan.
Yash Kapoor - 27: A hard-working, smart, and well-educated man. Yash not only has good looks, but brains too. He is family oriented, and has decided to stay with his parents and care for them until they leave the world. Yash studied at a local college in Delhi, where he met Lali 2 years ago. Son of Balraaj and Seema Kapoor. Fiance of Lali.
Lali Malhotra [Kapoor] - 24: Simple, sweet, naive, and innocent girl. Lali is very hard-working, and very smart. Lali dresses in traditional attire; salwar suits. She is family-oriented, and finds it very easy to adjust to Yash's family. [Future] wife of Yash.

Episode 1:

Kapoor Household:
"Mom, are you seriously inviting all of those random aunties for my sangeet?" Yash Kapoor said rolling his eyes.
"Haan Beta, it's their singing which livens up the sangeet even more." Seema Kapoor said with a knowing smile on her face.
It was one day prior to Yash Kapoor's and Lali Malhotra's sangeet ceremony, and preparations were in full swing. The clothes were selected for each of the family members, and food would be catered from a local yet well-known hotel. Most of the guests were invited, with just a few "random aunties" left to call.
Malhotra Household:
"Mama, will this lehnga be good?" Lali Malhotra said with a nervous smile.
"Haam Bitiya, this colour will really suit your complexion. Now we just have to pick out some matching jewellery... I think I have a matching set in the cupboard... We'll just have to send Ramesh to get some bangles." Lali's mother, Neha said with a warm smile.
"Accha mama, can I go with Ramesh? I want my sangeet clothing to be perfect!" Lali said giggling.
"Okay beta, you go." Neha said playfully pushing Lali out of the room.
"Chalo Ramesh Ji, please take me to the chudi waala." Lali said picking up her purse and putting on her shoes.
...
Chudi Waala:
"Hmmm... I have a green lehnga. So I should get green and gold bangles, right?" Lali asked Ramesh.
"Mem Saab, Mujhe kya pata?" Ramesh said scratching his head.
"Tum bhi na... Bhai Saab, mujhe yeh chudiyaan chaiye." Lali said pointing to a pair of green and silver bangles.
Lali had the bangles packed, and turned around to hop into her family's sole car. As she approached the car, a van zoomed in front of her, and splashed mud from a nearvy puddle all over her clothes. Laali gasped in shock, and chased after the car until it turned a left. She managed to read the license plate; 45H321.
A soaking wet Lali stormed off home with a giggling Ramesh behind her.
Kapoor House:
A honk was heard from the driving way.
"Balraaj couldn't be home, could he?" Seema said looking at the clock.
"I dunno mom, lets see who it is."
The two stepped outside, to see who it was.
..."I'm telling you Karan, these indian roads are just nuts. Cows and goats walk in the middle of the road, and no one stops them. What kind of a place is this?" A young woman angrily scowled as she pulled out a large suitcase from the trunk. Dressed in a strapless red dress, accessorized with a simple diamond wedding ring and watch. No sindoor, no mangalsutra, no bangles, no nothing.
"Nikasha? Beti Tum?" Seema said, her mouth gaping in shock.
"Hi... Err Namaste Ma!" Nikasha said, awkwardly touching Seema's slender feet.
"Hey Yash!" Karan said stepping out of the driver's seat. Clad in a t-shirt and a pair of jeans, he didn't look like a Kapoor, and yet he was.
"Hey Bro!" Yash said, hugging Karan and slapping him on the back.
"Hi Bhabhi." Yash said gently hugging Nikasha.
"Hi." Nikasha said back.
"Namaste Ma." Karan said, as he bent down and touched Seema's feet.
"Erm Bhaiya, I'm doing a bit of a survery for my office. What's your license plate number?"
"I'll check and see." Nikasha said smiling.
"It's 45H321." Nikasha said with a gentle smile.

Episode 2:

Kapoor Household:
"Thanks Bhabhi. I'll help you and Karan take your bags inside." Yash said jotting down Karan and Nikasha's license plate number on a piece of paper.
"Your Welcome Yash. Could you get my blue bag? It's a bit heavy for me." Nikasha said with a blush.
"Sure." Yash said smiling as he and Karan heaved the seemingly 1000 pound bad inside the house, and up the lengthy stair-well.
"Nikasha Beta." Seema said gently grabbing Nikasha's hand, preventing her from taking Karan's light bag inside the house.
"Yes Mom?" Nikasha said turning around to face Seema.
"I know that you're not used to wearing Indian clothes, but please wear something nice today. Not a dress or anything of the sort please beta. A nice suit, if not a kurti and a pair of jeans..." Seema said with a some-what embarrased smile.
"Sure Mom. I won't let you down." Nikasha said with a smile, as she took Karan's bag inside.
Malhotra Household:
Lali stomped inside the house, followed by Ramesh, her hair still damp with mud and small pebbles.
Neha couldn't help but chuckle at the sight of her fuming daugther. "Kya Hua Beta?"
"Kya Pata Ma? I was heading towards the car after getting my bangles, and some car zoomed in front of me and splashed this filth all over me. Probably some drunkards were driving the cars, or some weird foreigners." Lali said as she grabbed a towel from the cupboard.
"Koi Baat Nahin Beta. Go take a shower, and get ready. Everything will be fine." Neha said with a smile, as she carefully groomed Lali's hair.
"Theek Hai. You get ready too... I don't want to be late."
Kapoor Household:
Preperations were in full swing. The house was being well-decorated, while Karan and Nikasha quickly unpacked. Only 40 minutes were left before guests would be arriving, and a lot was to be done.
Karan quickly showered and put on a comfortable blue cotton kurta-pyjama. Nikasha followed suit, and showered for a full 20 minutes. She dried her hair, and wrapped a towel around herself. She wasn't too sure what to wear though...
Meanwhile, preperations continued downstairs, with just 20 minutes left. Balraaj arrived while Nikasha was in the shower, and got dressed into a green kurta-pyjama. Seema changed into a heavily embroidered red salwaar kameez, and wore a pair of simple gold dangling earrings. Yash being the groom-to-be wore a heavy orange sherwani.
During this time, Nikasha rummaged through her now-fully stocked closet, and found a nice outfit to wear. She picked out some matching jewellery, and was sure to wear a mangalsutra. It wasn't like she wanted to, but if she didn't it would create uneeded tension and problems during the sangeet ceremony. She quickly put a small circular line of sindoor on her forehead, and brushed her hair.
The doorbell rang, and the first batch of "random aunties" entered. They sat in the middle of the large living room, and quickly set up and began singing. Nikasha could hear their loud singing from all the way upstairs, and groaned. How simply dull!
She put on a pair of high heels, and walked down the stairs. Everyone awkwardly stared at her, and gave her strange looks. Due to her common sense, Nikasha knew that she was to go straight to her father-in-law Balraaj, and greet him. As Nikasha approached her, Balraaj smiled widely - a bit too wisely. As Nikasha bent down to touch his feet, Balraaj burst out laughing. Knowing it was safe to laugh, everyone joined in. All the aunties, all the guests, everyone... Except Seema and Karan. Seema whispered to Karan, and walked towards Nikasha. She took Nikasha's hand and took her upstairs.
"Nikasha Beta, when I said dress formally, I didn't mean this formally." Seema said with a chuckle.
Poor Nikasha was wearing a heavily embroidered purple saree, with a heavy gold necklace set, mangalsutra, and her arms were stacked with various shades of purple bangles.
Nikasha looked at herself in the mirror, and cried.
"Why did I have to come to India? Why?" Nikasha thought to herself.
"Beta don't cry. It's okay. Come now, lets look for something else for you to wear."
In less than a minute Seema dug through Nikasha's wardrobe, and put together a nice outfit. She helped Nikasha get ready into a comfortable pink salwaar kameez, with a pair of gold earrings, a few gold bangles, and a mangalsutra.
"Oh Mom! I forgot! I forgot to get the dholak you asked me to get from London Exporters. I think it's still in the car... I'll go get it." Nikasha said in a rash tone.
She quickly ran downstairs and outside, avoiding the milder looks everyone gave her. She opened up the trunk to her car, and pulled out the dholak. As she turned around, her eyes were blinded with a pair of headlights. She blinked as the lights were soon off, and the sound of car doors opening and closing rung in her ears. She heard a gasp, and heard the words:
"MA! That's the car!" The words came from Lali's mouth.
"Is that your car?" Lali said trembling from shock.
"Yes, and you are?" Nikasha said impatiently.
"Who do you think you are? You splashed mud all over me today, and didn't even apoligize" Lali said angrily, walking up to Nikasha and putting her hands on her hips.
