Part I
There is hope in every love story, especially in the ones that are filled with pure and honest emotions, one that has its roots in the simplest of gestures in life, one that builds on trust and friendship, and one where two people care about each other so deeply, that no one else or nothing else matters in the world!
Such was the case for Parth and Vibha. They loved each other with a passion so intense, with a love so pure, with an emotion so deep, that they never saw the mistake that the others called their relationship. A grave mistake, that it most definitely wasn't for them, but they didn't need to prove their love to anyone else. Knowing how they felt for each other was enough for them.
He decided to take the blame on himself, so that he could save her job as he knew how important it was for her. But she owned up her part of the 'mistake' and resigned. He couldn't stop her as she didn't let him. She sacrificed her job, her duties and her everything for him, for his future, for him to keep his promise to his Mom. He wanted to stop her as she left, but his Mom pulled him back. He always had the utmost respect for his Mom so he obeyed her yet again.
As he was leaving school at the end of the term, he went to the library, and with painful memories of all the moments he had spent with Vibha in that library, he touched all the books. His eyes were watery, he wanted to cry, he wanted to rewind time and fix everything. He was cursing himself for telling his Mother about Vibha, if he hadn't said anything, then none of this would have happened.
As he went home with his Mom, not even being able to see Vibha one last time, all he had on his mind was her. Tears kept rolling out of his eyes and he kept looking out of the window each time his Mom tried to pacify him. Vibha had left soon after handing in her letter. She didn't want her pain to intensify upon seeing Parth again. She would never forget him and she hoped he would never either. And that some day they could be together.
Even though the grief was consuming her, in her heart she had done the right thing for him. She had secured his future at the expense of her own and her family's. She thought she would make it a priority to find an exemplary job to support her family and keep herself so busy, so much so that she wouldn't miss seeing Parth everyday. She didn't know where to look, without a graduate degree and without a proper reference from the school. Luckily, she happened to talk to Manik and he was extremely supportive. He knew several agencies and he guided her to apply to the right places.
On the other hand, Parth was lost in thoughts each day, and though he tried to listen to everything his Mom said, and tried hard to concentrate on his studies, he just couldn't get over the pain of being away from Vibha. He didn't even know how he was ever going to see her again. Sure he knew where she stayed, but his Mom would never allow him to go after her, she was the reason this had all happened in the first place. But he loved his Mom, and she'd always been the one person who had always been there for him.
Vibha soon got busy with interviews and running around here and there, but she always had Parth on her mind. She often wondered what he would be doing, if he would be hanging out with his friends, if he would be enjoying life. She really hoped he wouldn't put his life on a standstill for her. And when she thought this, she thought her Mom would be there to look after him and encourage him to do things to keep his mind occupied.
Two months passed. School was just about to repon for the next semester. Vibha woke up on a Saturday morning and looked at the calendar, thinking the school would restart in 2 days, and that everyone must be packing their belongings to get ready to return back to Warrior High. She had tried over the last month to get on with things in life, and even told her grandmother about Parth. Dadi supported her fully, as she had always liked Parth, and she gave her hope that things would be fine one day, and that the universe would find a way for them to be together! And then, whoever didn't accept their love wouldn't really matter.
She was sitting and talking with her Dadi, when the doorbell rang. She thought they weren't expecting any visitors, perhaps it was a letter or something. But then for a second she thought perhaps it was... could it be? Could it be Parth?
Part II
Her heart skipped a beat and she thought she was asking for too much. She opened the door, and she was surprised to find Manik at her doorstep! She hugged him and invited him in. She introduced Manik to his Dadi and got talking to him. He asked her how everything was going and that he was there for the weekend so he wanted to spend time with her and see the city. She said she would show him around and they left shortly after. Vibha took him around everywhere, she was so happy to see him.
She was walking around the city holding on to his arm, and someone passed by on a bike. His excitement for seeing Vibha was marred by seeing her hold Manik's arm. Parth felt like his world was crumbling into pieces. He had finally found the chance to see the love of his life, but the apparent reality was telling him something else. He kept riding as his eyes got watery, and he got emotional. Had she moved on so quickly? Had she forgotten him so quickly? What about all the promises that they had made? All these thoughts made him sad, extremely sad. He stopped near a highway, and punched a tree, thought of all the moments he had spent with her. As memories came gushing back, he remembered the time when she promised him that she would always wait for him. He thought he was misunderstanding her, and just because he wasn't close to many people, didn't mean she could not have close friends. He controlled his anger, and started riding with a new vigour. He wanted to buy something for her, so he went back to town and strolled around the markets till he found something he liked for her.
It was soon afternoon and he made his way to her house. Not knowing if she had returned or not, he decided to go. He knew he could talk to Dadi and spend time with her till Vibha returned. As he rode his bike to her house, he saw her hugging Manik and then Manik wiping away her tears. She bid him goodbye and she looked at him, but couldn't recognize the face under the helmet. A breeze moved her hair and she could sense something, she waited for a moment, looked around and then thought it was nothing. She went in and closed the door behind her. He parked his bike outside her house, took his helmet off and looked down in sadness. Once could have been a coincidence, but twice?! He had seen her twice now, both times so close with Manik. Perhaps that was a sign, perhaps he no longer occupied that special place in her heart. As all these thoughts raced through his mind, Dadi got up to close the window and she recognized Parth.
Dadi - Arey, Parth beta?
Vibha - Kya? Dadi? Aapko chashme ki zaroorat hai
Dadi - Arey nahi, Parth hi hai, dekho to. Parth (she started shouting and Parth looked at her)
Parth - Dadi?
Vibha - Kya?
She ran to the door and opened it, she couldn't believe her eyes, Parth was there, on his bike, which he didn't even know he rode. She ran to him, touched his face, with both her hands and her eyes started to fill with tears of happiness.
Vibha - Parth, Parth tum yahan?
He got off the bike and she hugged him tightly and started crying.
Vibha - Parth maine tumhe kitna miss kiya...
He was glad that she was happy to see him. He put both his arms around her and hugged her back. He gently put on of his hands through her hair.
Vibha - Par Parth, tum yaha kaise?
Parth - Pehle aap rona band kijiye, dekhiye, Dadi bhi aapko dekha kar has rahi hai
Vibha - Kya? (she turned back to look at the window, but Dadi wasn't there)
She gently hit him on his chest as he was just teasing her.
Parth - Yahi par sare questions puchengi, ya phir andar le jayengi
Vibha - (wiped away her tears) Ha, sorry, of course, chalo
She was about to walk, and he stopped her, he held her palm, and she interlocked her fingers, smiled at him and they went together. He realized how wrong he was in thinking Vibha could get over him. She still loved him, and it was quite evident that she had missed him just as much as he'd missed her, if not more. He met Dadi who was over the moon to see him. Her Vibha's smile had returned with Parth's arrival.
Dadi - Parth beta, kaise ho tum?
Parth - Aap kaise ho Dadi?
Dadi - Hm, main toh theek hu, par yeh Vibha tere bina theek nahi thi
Vibha - Dadi!
Parth - (looked at Vibha, who was feeling shy) Sach main Dadi?
Dadi - Aur nahi toh kya. In pure do mahino main maine iske chehre pe itni khushi nahi dekhi jitni aaj dekh rahi hu. Par yeh to bechari, teri yaad main, khair chodo. Ab tum aa gaye ho, tum dono baith kar bahut sari baatein karo, ya shayad ghum aao, main thodi der aaram kar leti hu
Parth - Okay Dadi, aapse milke bahut achcha laga
Dadi went and told Vibha to have a good time with Parth. She blessed them and told them that she will always support both of them. Parth then went up close to Vibha, and whispered in her ears.
Parth - Toh aapne mujhe bahut miss kiya?
Vibha - Parth... Yeh kya kar rahe ho
Parth - Apne jawab nahi diya
Vibha - Nahi, maine nahi miss kiya
Parth - Kya? Lekin Dadi toh kuch aur hi keh rahi thi, aur bahar bhi aapne...
Vibha turned around as she didn't want to waste time playing games with him. She hugged him and told him what he wanted to hear.
Vibha - Ha Parth, pata nahi din kaise beet gaye. Par maine har din tumhe yaad kiya. Pata hi nahi tha ki hum kab milenge. Aur agar aunty ko... Tumne bataya nahi ki tum yaha, kaise?
Parth - Woh sab main aapko bataunga, filhaal sirf itna jaan lijiye, ki Mom ki permission se hi main yaha aaya hu
Vibha - Kya? Par kaise?
Parth - Apko mere saath time spend karne se zyada interest main yaha kaise aaya, usme hain!
Vibha - Nahi Parth, woh baat nahi hai...
Parth - Toh theek hai, phir chaliye...
Vibha - Chaliye? Kaha?
Parth - Bas chailye
Vibha - Par pehle to tum mujhe aap kehna band karo
Parth - Par Maam?
Vibha - Ab to main tumhari Maam bhi nahi hu
Parth - Er... Vibha?
Vibha - Ha, yeh theek hai, aur tum, aap nahi!
Parth - Okay, to chalein?
Vibha - Ha, main Dadi ko bolkar aati hu
Parth waited anxiously for her to come down. She was excited, happy, it was almost like she had found the reason to live life to the fullest! She came running down the stairs and he just kept looking at her. How he had wished to see her like this, how he'd wished to hold her, to talk to her, to be with her. And today it had all come true!!

Part III
She came down with the biggest smile on her face he'd ever seen. She was so simple, yet so beautiful, so elegant, so natural and so perfect! She held his hand and out they stepped for an adventure. He helped her get on his bike and then he started riding away. She held on to him tight, wrapping both her arms around his waist, and rested her head on his back. An embrace so warm, so endearing, so nice! She just didn't want to let go of him. And every time they'd stop at a signal he'd either turn around and smile at her, or he'd stare at her pretty face in his mirror. Vibha caught him looking at her in the mirror one time, and she smiled at him and then pat his cheek lightly. They kept riding, riding and riding.
Vibha - Parth, hum kahan ja rahe hai
Parth - Pata nahi, aaj mujhe koi farak nahi padta ki hum kaha pahuch jaye
Vibha - Kya? Phir hum wapas kaise lautenge
Parth - Jaise aye the, waise laut jayenge
Vibha - Tum such main pagal ho
Parth - Aap hi se seekha hai maine
Vibha - Achcha, toh aur ek baat seekh lo, mujhe aap nahi, tum kehkar pukaro
Parth - Okay
Parth smiled as he looked into the mirror and she smiled back at him feeling shy. After all these days of him calling her Maam and addressing her as aap, the day had finally come for her to make him say her name, on its own, without any seniority, without any complexities. He felt strange, but he welcomed the change.
She hugged him tightly again and rested her head on his back. She said to herself in her mind that this day should never end. She should always be like this with Parth, riding away on the bike, not caring about anyone in the world. No judgements, no sadness, no separation! This is how their love should give them a happy ending. But could she really stop time? Could she make time stand still? She had to stop her thoughts, and think it better to enjoy the moment.
They kept riding and the city soon gave way to greens, rugged roads, countryside, small huts. All the natural stuff. She was loving being with him, even though they both had past moments in their minds, conflicting with an uncertain future. Could they make the future theirs? Could they really make it happen?
They had been riding for quite some time, and Parth pulled over once he saw a dhaba.
Parth - (turned around, but still sat on the bike) Aapko bhukh lagi hai?
Vibha - Kuch khaas nahi, kyu?
Parth - Mujhe bahut zoro se bhukh lagi hai!
Vibha - To chalo khate hai
Parth - Chaliye...
Vibha - Ek minute, kya kaha tumne, phir se aap?
Parth - Sorry, tum
Vibha - Next time main nahi manungi
Parth - Okay, chalo
She got off the bike and as he started to walk in front of her, she held his hand, he stopped and looked back at her and then down at the hand with which she held his, and he smiled. He held his palm tightly and walked together with her, hand in hand.
They sat down in the deserted dhaba to eat. They ordered food and waited on the bench. They sat next to one another, really close. Vibha held on to Parth's arm and lay her head on his shoulder. Parth noticed this and rested his head on hers and touched her hand.
Vibha - Parth, pata hai main aaj tumhare baare main hi soch rahi thi
Parth - Sirf aaj? Maine toh aapko, mera matlab hai tumko har roz yaad kiya
Vibha - Ha Parth, maine bhi tumhe har pal yaad kiya.
She lifted his hand, the one she was not holding on to, and kissed it. He looked down at her and kissed her forehead. She was happy.
Vibha - Pata hai Parth, maine apne aap ko itna busy kar liya, ki tumhari kami na mehsoos ho, lekin pehle kuch dino main har roz roti thi, aur phir Dadi ne samjhaya ki jo humare haath main nahi uske bare main sochkar kyun dukhi hona. Usse to achcha hai ki hum achche palon ko yaad karein jo humein khushi dete hain. Tab se main har un lumho ko yaad karne lagi, jo humne saath guzare the. Tumhari vajah se mujhe vo ehsaas hua, jiska mujhe hamesha se intezaar tha. Tumse kab pyar ho gaya pata hi nahi chala. Shayad usi din train se humari kahani ki shuruat hui. Tab se hi shayad tumne mere dil main jagah bana li. Aur ab jab tum mere saath ho, toh aisa lagta hai ki yeh pal yehi tham jaye.
Parth - Main bhi nahi chahta ki yeh shaam khatam ho, par agar yeh khatam nahi hogi, toh main agli baar aapse milne kaise aunga?
Vibha - Phir se? Kaise? School toh Monday se shuru ho rahi hai na?
Parth - Woh... ha, lekin aap chinta mat karo
Vibha - Arey, pehle tum yaha aa gaye, aur ab yeh keh rahe ho, school kaun jayega?
Parth looks at her and smiles.
Parth looked at her and smiled. He held on to her hand.
Parth - School main hi jaunga, chinta mat karo
Vibha - Parth, yeh kya paheli main baatein kar rahe ho
Parth - Aap hamesha ki tarah kitne questions puch rahi hai
Vibha - Ha, toh tum jawab kyun nahi dete?
Parth - Achcha theek hai, aapko, mera matlab hai, tumko janna hai ki yeh sab kaise hua?
Vibha - Agar tum batana chahte ho toh, ha
Parth - Main aapse har baat share karna chahta hu
Vibha held on to him and listened eagerly.
Parth - Tumko to pata hi hai, ki main Maa se kitna pyar karta hu. Aur main unke khilaf ja kar kabhi kuch nahi karna chahta. Tumse pehle, woh hi mera sab kuch thi. Aur mujhe laga ki dheere dheere woh samajh jayengi. Par jab apne resign kiya, aur woh mujhe ghar le gayi, toh unhone mujhse aur ek kasam li ki main holidays ke samay nahi aapse milunga aur na hi baat karunga. Unhe shayad laga ki main aapko bhul jaunga, aur phir school akar busy ho jaunga. Lekin main har roz aapko yaad karta tha. Aur shayad dheere dheere Maa ko bhi yeh ehsaas hone laga ki shayad woh galat ho sakti hai. Aur kal hi unhone mujhe permission di ki main chahu to dehradun pahuch kar aapse mil sakta hu. Unhe pata hai ki main kabhi unki koi baat nahi talunga, lekin woh bhi meri Maa hai, mera dukh unse dekha nahi gaya.
Vibha - Parth...
Parth - Aur pata hai, jab Maa ne permission di, toh main jaise khushi se pagal hi ho gaya. Kal aane ke badle main aaj aa gaya. Aur apni bike bhi saath le aaya.
Vibha - Parth, maine bhi chaha tha ki main ek baar tumse baat kar lu, lekin ghar par phone karne ki himmat hi nahi hui. Lekin aaj, aaj lagta hai ki main tumse dher saari baatein kar lu. Aur tum kya keh rahe the phir miloge? Kaise?
Parth - Arey, itna sab kuch bata diya, ab aap batao, apne mujhe kitna miss kiya
Vibha - Roj toh kaam par jati hu, aur weekends pe Dadi ke saath baith kar man halka ker leti hu
Parth - Apki, mera matlab hai tumhari job kaisi chal rahi hai? Kya woh apko enough pay karte hai woh log?
Vibha - Ha Parth, Warrior High jaisa achcha job milna mushkil hai, mere qualifications bhi incomplete hai. Par abhi ke liye manage ho raha hai. Tum chinta mat karo
Parth started to think that she may not be earning too much, and he thought he would come up with an idea to help her make more money without much stress. He would do something that would make her happy. The food arrived and just as Vibha was about to eat her first bite, Parth stopped her. He then picked up some food with his hands and raised it up to her mouth, she looked at him, with emotional eyes and opened her mouth to eat. He fed her lovingly. And then she gave her bite to him. They both fed each other and smiled.
Tum se hi song plays in background -
Na hai yeh pana
Na Khona hi hai
Tera Na hona jane
Kyun hona hi hai
Tum se hi din hota hai
Surmaiye shaam aati hai
Tumse hi tumse hi
Har ghari saans aati hai
Zindagi kehlati hai
Tumse hi tumse hi
They soon finish eating and Vibha continues.
Vibha - Pata hai, job mujhe Manik ki wajah se mili, he is the best!
Parth - Ha, mujhe pata hai
Vibha - Kya? Tumhe kaise pata chala?
Parth - Mera matlab hai main janta hu ki woh best hai
Vibha - Are you jealous Parth?
Parth - Jealous toh main tab hua tha jab maine apko unke saath dekha tha, pehle shopping street main, phir ghar pe...
Vibha - Kya? Tum shopping... Tumne kuch kaha kyu nahi?
Parth - Mujhe laga... Woh
Vibha - Kya laga?
Parth - Maine galat soch liya, mujhe laga shayad aap mujhe bhool gaye ho
Vibha - (her eyes got teary) Parth, tumne itni asani se soch liya ki main tumhe bhool jaungi? Main tumhe kaise bhool sakti hu Parth
Parth - (holds her and face) I'm sorry, mujhe pata hai mujhe aisa nahi sochna nahi chahiye tha
Vibha - Parth, tumhare saath saath maine bhi vaada kiya tha ki main har pal tumhara intezaar karungi. Phir main...
Parth - Shh..
Parth hugged her and asked for an apology once again. They then left the dhaba and he kept riding his bike, with the love of his life with him. The clouds were roaring in the sky. It was going to rain soon.
Vibha - Parth, lagta hai baarish hone wali hai
Parth - Kya?
Vibha - (shouts so that he can hear her in the windy conditions) Parth, tumhe raasta pata hai?
Parth - Nahi
Vibha - Parth, baarish hone waali hai, humain kahi chalna chahiye
Parth - Dekhte hai
He kept riding and unfortunately they didn't come across any houses. There were vast areas of land. It started to rain very heavily and they were getting wet.
Vibha - Parth, kahi ruk jaate hai, baarish bahut zoro se ho rahi hai
Parth - Ha, aap theek keh rahi hai
They pulled up and they both ran under a tree, and just then lightning struck. This startled Vibha and she hugged Parth tightly. He put his arms around her and then slowly moved his fingers through her hair. His embrace, his presence, his hug was enough for her to feel safe and secure!
