For those who came in late, Rudra was found on the temple steps as a baby and is adopted by Biswajeet Roy and Yashomati who yearn for a girl child. To begin with, Yashomati is very fond of her daughter, but is very soon poisoned by her sister-in-law, Jaya and starts hating Rudra. Biswajeet reveres his daughter and brings in Sunanda to take care of the child. Rudra grows up to be a beautiful woman and is also the apple of her father's eye. Her brothers and Bua hate her as much as Biswajeet loves her.

What's to happen on the episode scheduled to air on Thursday, May 8? Yashomati is in a dream world as she imagines Rudra questioning her father whether she is his illegitimate child. In consequence, she also imagines Biswajeet throwing her, Yashomati, out of the house. A worried Yashomati speaks about this to Jaya, who assures her that she will take care of the whole thing. Jaya explains to Rudra that whatever Yashomati told her was in her anger towards her own husband. Yashomati apologises to Rudra for the things she had uttered in her bad temper. She also requests Rudra to organise the party as a peace offering. But Bankim and Upendra don't come for the party. Where are they?
