What would you have happen to Raj by the end of the show?

So we've had a Harjeet thread and a Jagan thread, so here's the Raj thread. This one's for you, Maher!

We all know that because Raj is the male lead, he will be redeemed and forgiven and all that good fluffy stuff. However, if it were up to you, what do have happen to him?

People aren't going to agree to my comment, but that's all the more better. We'll have something to argue about 😉 😆

Here goes:
I cannot forgive people who murder, rape and or have extramarital affairs.
Abusive behaviour ( mental, physical, emotional) will not be tolerated.
In real life, I would have disowned a husband like Raj because there's no way guys like him would or can mend their ways.
But wait and watch how Raj turns into a model husband , son and human being.
If a person can turn around like that, why not forgive them?
Especially Preet? Since she's desperate to go on being his wife?

Agreed. But do you mean you wouldn't forgive someone who cheated on you or someone who cheated on anyone? Because you'd be surprised how many people date someone who they know is a cheater. The women who 'steal' men from other women are examples of that. If he cheated on her, why wouldn't he cheat on you? You know what I mean?

Yes I know what you mean.
That's why I am defending Raj and feel he still has hope.
Once a cheat always a cheat. Cheats, rapists, murders.
I won't forgive them at any cost. They have no place in my life because these people are irredeemable. Period.

Glad to hear that. Too many young women are just naive when it comes to things like this.

Haha! I may be conservative in my views, but not naive. And I am not really young either 😉
If i don't react to the characters like how some of you do, it's because I have passed that age. For me, they are just a bunch of actors enacting a role, a drama.
When Raj or Harjeet or Chander or Mohini or Amba do not exist at all, where is the question of becoming angry or hating them?!
This reel life is same as real life is all nonsense. Real life is different and reel life is different.
It's just a myth that serials affect people. Nothing affects anybody until they choose to be affected by it.

What are your views on Raj?
What do you think should happen to him?

I put young women to mean women that aren't in relationships. Although I don't know your relationship status. I didn't want to offend you by mentioning relationships or anything 🤣

Although I don't quite agree with your views on serials and how they affect (or rather don't affect) audiences, I appreciate your opinion. IMO, some people, young people especially, might think their abusive boyfriends are cool. But I guess they'd learn the difference between reel life and real life after (if) they're unfortunate enough to get into an abusive relationship.

Good one!
And you are right, I'm single.
28 and single and that's quite an achievement in itself, I suppose 😆
