SD put herself in a position where she doesn't deserve respect. It might sound terrible but no one will respect you if you don't respect yourself.
I don't think Preet should have apologised.

Now that I am back, I'll take the pleasure of commenting on every thread 😆
I never really have any hope on any seriel. I started watching this one for time pass and continue to do so out of curiosity. I have no attachment to this soap or any other.
That's why I don't think too much about RajPreet relationship or spend time pondering whether what they are showing is stupid or sensible. I just roll my eyes whenever something stupid happens in the soap. That's about that.
I don't even believe soaps can positively or negatively influence audiences. Soaps project what people want to see and not what they want to see in people 😆
As far as people imbibing the negativity goes, I think people imbibe only what they want to.

A woman tortured her daughter in law and when asked where she learnt all this stuff from, she said she saw it in a soap. True story. It can definitely influence people if they see something in the soap that they can relate to.

Precisely my point. They imbibe what they can relate to. There are obviously some good things shown in a soap as well. Why dint the lady imbibe that? Because she's basically evil.
The soap is just serving as a reason.
You and I won't do that regardless of how many soaps we see. Why? Because we aren't wired like that.
You only take in what you want to.
This lady could have gotten the idea from elsewhere. Soap just happens to be the scapegoat this time.

Hmm, it depends on how you look at it. I'm of two minds right now regarding this topic.

There is story about two brothers who had a drunkard for a father. This father would drink every single day, beat up the mother, have an extramarital affair.
One of the sons, after watching his father, became a model citizen. Never touched alcohol, worked hard for his family and kept his family happy.
The other brother imbibed all the bad qualities from the father and took after him.
One son learnt how to be and the other how not to be even though their source was the same father.
It just depends on you and only you.

This pretty much showed in Harjeet's family, pre leap.
Raj absolutely abhorred the way his mother was treated and always wanted to help her out despite his physical impairment.
Rohan spoke to his mother the same way his father did (once he even threatened to give her a matching black eye for the one his father gave her) and taunted Raj for helping her out with woman's work.
Raman was in between. He didn't like the abuse and never disrespected his mother but he kinda explained it all away to Raj as 'Papa hits Mummy but that doesn't mean that he doesn't love her'.

Of course, Raj and Rohan have both changed now.

Raj is an ideal case of "idle mind is devil's workshop!" What he needs immediately is a job. And I will say this a hundred times over 😆
The scene when Sakshi comes to Raj's room to talk to him and Preet comes in to thank Raj for helping Simi, Raj was actually shown reading a book! And my eyeballs just fell off seeing this 🤣
