yeah, anjana is supposed to an apsara, so i get the beauty bit but the way the makers are devising the plot, i haven't seen vali ever get attracted to anjana in the previous ramayanas that have been on itv..unless the makers are taking this concept from another ramayana that mightve aired elsewhere and im oblivious to it..Originally posted by: Vibhishna
I haven't seen the recent episode yet so I have no idea what they showed. Anjana was supposed to be very beautiful but I doubt Vali was attracted to Anjana this way. Here they show Vali to be psychotic to say the least but I think he lost his mind after thinking and believing Sugreeva betrayed him. Rather than these nonsensical stories, they can show the brotherly bonding between the two brothers and how they worked together to establish and uphold Kishkinda.
No They Might Use The Same Actor For Ram Ji
I Watched The Last Two Episodes
yeah thats the usual itv trope (ofc, not in some show b/c i remember in one show initially the guy playing narayana did play rama before they chose another guy later down the road)..usually, its expected that the actor playing narayana will be the one to play ram avtar..Originally posted by: SilverBell

How are the episodes going? Are they eny good? Any distortions yet?
Plenty of distortions...
I haven't watched regularly since the adventures of kid Hanuman have begun.
Hanuman is currently discovering how to use his powers and the storyline is hilarious. The kid just rode a bull into the sunset a few days ago and left me rofl. Now I think he has shrunk and trying to figure out how to get bigger. I wonder if the story is going to be a mix of Marvel/DC (Atom/Ant Man, Wasp) and Cardcaptors...
The kid who plays Hanuman is quite good and they have managed to show a boisterous young boy pretty well. His speech brings out a childlike curiosity, mischief and wit, beautifully done. For some reason the make up seems overdone and looks more like a bird than a vanara. Not going to complain about the kid, he's working hard but the make up could have been better. They didn't need to cake so many layers on a child's face. His eyes are done pretty but I always feel like looking at a bird than a vanara. He's still cute, though...
Vali's and Indra's characters have been butchered right from the beginning. They have been portrayed as inherently cruel, evil and Vali is a plain psycho here. But the actors are doing a good job. Vali and Sugreeva played by the same person has shown the contrast very well (a contrast that shouldn't exist). Indra being nice to Maruti was a treat to watch, he was adorable while blessing Hanuman after he was revived.
Vayu and Maruti's interaction was lovely to see. I wished we had more of that. Hopefully we get something similar for Surya and Hanuman during his education.
Some characters get extra roles... Kesari, Jambavan and Vrikshraj (I thought it was Rikshraj but subtitles say it's Vrikshraj) are shown more, which is nice. Vrikshraj seems quite old and feeble but wasn't actually so. Jatayu seems to be forceful insert but him warning Maruti of the Sun's destructive power was a nice touch. Same with Rahu's narration of Churning of the Ocean. It was a nice touch.
I was thinking it wasn't fair that they villified Surya for being who he is and then he turned up with an army almost justifying the villification... (Not even sure if these words exist ...) Character butchering again...
We'll have to wait and see what more turns up...

they did show vali thinking that sugreeva betrayed him in SR too but never ever getting attracted to anjana...i wouldve like to see more of what made vali so egotistical growing up personality-wise in more detail as thats not usually shown in much details..
In my opinion he wasn't too egotistical. The brothers Vali and Sugreeva loved each other so much that they were identical even in habits... A trait that never changed even after Sugreeva's banishment. In my opinion Vali loved his brother so much and when he was convinced that Sugreeva betrayed him, it pushed him over the edge and he took Ruma in retaliation. He did defeat Ravana, Dhundhubi and Mayavi and confidently protected his kingdom. It is certainly possible that he could have gotten over confident and being associated with Ravana, even if the interaction was small might have had its adverse effect.
