Yuvika's pov
I check the time on my wristwatch; 11:45. I carried a bouquet of orchids and a cake as I made my way over to the Bhardwaj house. He has a soft spot for orchids. Neil's birthday is today, and I want to make sure he has an even more memorable day.
When I arrived at his place, I struggled to figure out how to enter through the window. I wanted him to surprise. Somehow, I managed to enter inside. I was going to go to his room after collecting the things when I noticed Vidur uncle staring at me with a confused expression.
I said, embarrassingly smiling, "Vo uncle Neil ka birthday hai na isliye...."
He smiled warmly and said, "Koi baat nhi chalo milke surprise dete h use".
When we went into Neil's room, he was peacefully asleep. Then I checked, 11:59 was displayed.
3, 2, 1
We both sang "Happy Birthday, Neil" at the same moment. It took him a while to realize what was going on, a broad smile came on his face.
"Happy birthday betu, god bless you!" said Vidur uncle giving him a warm embrace.
I muttered, dragging him over to the table, "Chalo cake cut karo".
After blowing out the candles, he cut the cake. Vidur uncle went away to his room after cutting the cake since he was tired.
I offered him the bouquet of orchids after the uncle left and he was really happy to see them. He grabbed them.
Neil's pov
She held my hand and said " Happy Birthday to my soulmate, to the person who has shown me what it really means to be in love. To the guy who is always there to pick me up when things get tough and put a smile back on my face. I am so blessed that I have you in my life. You have always been there for me. I could not imagine my life without you. Thank you for choosing me to love. You are the love of my life and my best friend. I love you so much. "
I grabbed her and gave her an emotional hug as I was feeling so overwhelmed and short of words.
"Thank you so much, Yuvi." I said with tears in my eyes.
We broke the embrace after a while.
As soon as I laid eyes on the cake, a mischievous thought entered my head. After dipping my finger into the cake, I applied it's cream on her face.
"Neil! Ruko tum" she exclaimed and grabbed a piece of cake. After realizing this, I ran to save myself, and she followed me. She finally caught me and applied the cream on my face.
"Yuvii"
"Kya Yuvi?!" she chuckled.
I took hold of her waist the next moment and drew her in closer. Her heartbeat became faster, and I could hear it. I leaned in and kissed her cheek while licking the cream, causing her body to shiver.
"This one is more sweeter, I want some more" I said smiling naughtily.
She forwarded her other cheek too. I followed obediently, sucking the cream from her cheek.
"Hmmm koi jyada hi romantic ho rha h"
"Ab kya kar sakte h, jab boyfriend itna handsome ho to thoda romantic hona toh banta h" she said wrapping her arms around my neck.
The next instant, her lips found mine. Her lips lightly and delicately touched mine. The kiss lasted just long enough for me to feel her warmth on my skin and to breathe in her breath.
