I hate it how serial glorify Karna nd justify his acts wid Kunti's abandoning Karna nd him not getting rights as royal kids.. even though he was also student of Guru Drona they show him student of only Parshuram ji.

Btw when i saw Puneet Issar as DB first time i thought i knw him but couldnt remember.. then i googled nd saw that he played Bhagwan Parshuram char in SPMB

@bold you haven't watched BRC Mahabharata? Or Border movie?

I liked Karna too earlier, even now I like some of his qualities but my problem is his over glorification. The novels like Karna's wife only add to these, they show him like epitome of sacrifice

Forget other things Karna even escaped when Gandharva's attacked them during Gosala Yatra leaving Duryodhan to die. I think Duryodhan was much better a friend to him than he was to Duryodhan.(Not saying he was betraying Duryodhan)

Final rites thing they also showed in BRC.

But IIRC when Duryodhan gets to know in SPMB, he feels betrayed and calls Karna SutaPutra etc. It showed like he started hating him, so how come he then went for last rites?

This was the reason why I thought that Duryodhan in SPMB was only using Karna unlike Duryodhan of BRC who actually took Karna as his friend

Yes he fought the Gandharvas but they were obviously better so once he got a chance to escape patli Gali se nikal liya

Later Duryodhan feels humiliated and thinks to commit suicide, he asks Dusshashan to take over as king and tells him about the duties of king, Dusshashan disagres saying he will never take Duryodhan's place, Karna tells being citizens it was the duty of Pandavas to save their king. Shakuni advises Duryodhan to return Pandavas' kingdom to them and thereby make it even and then stay at peace. Later devils convince Duryodhan to continue

Didn't they show Duryodhan feel betrayed and cheated on knowing Karna was their brother and called him SutaPutra? Even thought to escape with help of Ashwathama

So why did he do the last rites?
