That's what i liked about BRC version is that they had Karn eggong on dhusashan to disrobe draupadi....

Also hated the fact that Duryodhan staked his siblings 🤦

Yes after Vikarna supported Draupadi, Karna got agitated and asked him to shutup. Then he ordered Dusshashan to undress Pandavas as well as Draupadi.

The bold part was that after Karna ordered Dusshashan for disrobe, Pandavas themselves undressed, Draupadi didn't, Dusshashan started pulling her dress

BRC too glorified Karna a lot but lesser than later shows, that too had Duryodhan ordering for disrobe. Duryodhan didn't stake his siblings in BRC, they showed him doing so in SPMB

Then they had that scene in flashback when Karna leaves the place with his head down

Usse zyada SuryaPutra Karna. There Karna actually breaks his friendship with Duryodhan after Varstraharan episode

SPMB and BRC had it's fine share of inaccuracies ans BRC is much better but the vastraharan sequence of SPMB beats BRC any day! Be it the elevation music , mood of the scene ( SPMB version of that scene was an adrenaline rush , wheras BRC went with divine and tame once shri Krishna entered , only thing i liked in BRC version of this scene was that even Karna was egging on Dushhasan to "keech" ...you won't see that in Karn glorification era) , also the acting...Pooja ji slayed that sequence ( and in the entire show) , whereas Rupa ji's acting was good...I'm not cribbing about the effects because BRC managed to do what they could do in the late 80's , they could've gone with some intense background music tho...

Off topic but the actor who dubbed for Shakuni in Tamil recently opened up in an interview saying that he hated how Shakuni's death was played off so comically and shakuni died as a proper soilder...

Has anyone watched SPK? I hadn't read Mahabharata till then yet the show seemed a headache to me with so much of Karna glorification

Karna will always be his friend even if latter doesn't think him so

I watched few bits of SPK like Barbarik story.. it was new for me so i watchèd it.. then Paundrak one.. idk if its true.. they shown that in RK as well.

Paundrik story is in Bhagwatam.

Barbarik story is from Shakt traditions

Yikes.. i used to like Karna somewhat until then i didnt knew he ordered Draupadi for Vastraharan.. i got know this few months back nd i hate him.

I hate it how serial glorify Karna nd justify his acts wid Kunti's abandoning Karna nd him not getting rights as royal kids.. even though he was also student of Guru Drona they show him student of only Parshuram ji.

Btw when i saw Puneet Issar as DB first time i thought i knw him but couldnt remember.. then i googled nd saw that he played Bhagwan Parshuram char in SPMB
