Firstly, I apologize for the more delayed than usual update, I was out of town for my Mom's birthday celebration.
Secondly, several observations from the episode:
(i) The mess that is Poongodi - I am starting to despise her characterization, here is a woman hellbent on causing misery to everyone everywhere she goes, all in the quest to please one man, that asinine father in law of hers. What she hopes to achieve with this God only knows but her stupidity seriously knows no bounds especially when she took it upon herself to ruin Selvi's function. She deserves a tight slap across her face. Seriously, enough already! As for the moronic team writing her story, there are ways they could have incorporated Maha's pregnancy into Poo's track without having her turn into a banshee and earning the wrath of the audience. They could have just had her fake a pregnancy to convince the world while having a child through surrogacy. Instead, they chose this ridiculous track that shows Poo and Balu in such a horrid light, all for what, their own sadistic pleasure? If I was MOM, Megala or Karthik, when the truth comes out, it wouldn't be Balu I would be furious at, it would be the moron Poo. Can't wait for an end to this utterly deplorable track.
(ii) Why does Vani attend each function like she is the guest of honor and leave abruptly halfway through? In this instance, it can be inferred that Rani would have been too uncomfortable to play an active role in the function while Vani was there, so she sensitively left. But why did the whole family have to tag along? Especially since they had come in two cars. I'm guessing that the idea behind the quick exit for Vani and Co, Kathir and wife and Dimple's parents were so the news of Poo's behavior does not reach Vani as yet. If they had been there, Vani would have put a much awaited full stop to this track with one tight slap across Poo's face. Since we know Vani is the only legitimate problem solver in VR, tell me team, how long do we have to put up with this crap before the matter is brought up to Her Highness' attention? Hopefully soon coz I'm one of many who hits the fast forward button the moment Poo appears on screen.
(iii) Karthi and MOM
Ok, this one is a general observation and not one from the episode per se. I can't stand Karthi, those of you who have been following VR forum in IF know that, and his act of being a patient, sympathetic and understanding husband just rubs me the wrong way. This idiot caused the whole mess, by needlessly picking a fight with the goons who subsequently caused the mishap in which Poo lost her womb. So why has this never been addressed in the show? Every time he opens his mouth and spews a whole lot of nonsense about not leaving Poo, all I see is guilt, not loyalty. If he had half a brain, he would have gotten her help and not just do the mahaan drama and leave her to her madness. Of course part of this rant is just me wishing Karthi's would crumble so Poo can get out and the track, which is a waste of time and space, can end. Or are we fated to be stuck with this never ending loyalty / guilt confusion that is the driving force of this track?
MOM - For once, I would like to see him make some comment addressing his mistake in bringing this evil witch Dimple into the family. Just once. Please. Coz every time Dimple appears on screen, I curse and swear at MOM for his asinine proposal of bringing these 2 unmatched, incompatible families together. Admit you screwed up Surya's life old man and apologize for it, I hate cursing and swearing at you for the evil deeds of that witch!
