I think Varun won't take a revenge with Sanju for pushing him off the cliff but instead after separating the BFF's he would take a revenge for slapping him in front of everybody.

& I agree with you..
Varun would take revenge beacuse of the slap..
Not in the same way he's taking revenge from Ela & Vinnie, but in a diffrent way

First he will separate sanju from BFF trio and take revenge from her for slapping.

Varun is likely mind-controlled by AnuDi. She seems to have a much bigger grudge against the BFFs than Varun. I also expect Daljeet to be the one who's running this whole rig, taking the help of AnuDi to convince Prof Rigved to get him back in college, and also brainwashing 'Varun' into scaring the BFFs. False memories and mind control seems a theme here- if Prof Anu Shukla can afford to fit in voice modulators in phones, she can also project illusions in the college campus, trip the security system and even brainwash or disguise random people.
