I wrote it only in a sarcastic sense to create fun, thinking that people will take it in lighter sense...
Am sorry if members felt bad...

Shalu, I don't think you need to apologize, we were just having fun and joking and that's pretty obvious sarcasm. Plus, we all are Hindu's here, everybody knowledgeable and aware in their own dimensions & belief's, so lets not get too sensitive.

I believe, if we cannot laugh at ourselves we cannot laugh at others too 😊 So let's be sportive and not take things personally. You can if you wish😆 I don't 😆

And to be honest I don't believe they were pativrata's - that's impractical -- in my opinion 😊 Infidelity is infidelity, you can try and justify it endlessly but the fact remains these women bore children of other men other than their husband's and the relevance was apt
😊 You all can disagree here, but I guess we all are entitled to our opinion's.

Ahalya, Draupadi, Sita, Tara and Mandodari according to some texts and
Ahalya, Draupadi, Tara, Tara and Mandodari according to some other texts.(There are two Taras)

It is better that we leave these great ladies out of this discussion and not sully their names and make fun of them, comparing them to one very cheap vamp character.

chitra i agree wid u!! 👏but one thing i want 2 clear 4 myself!!i don't know whether i heard from sum "pandit" or read that among panchsatis r Anusuya, Savitri, Sita,Kunti & Draupadi!!
@bold may b one Tara was Raja Harishchandra's wife & oder one was Bali's wife & after bali got killed by Lord Rama, she maried his younger bro as per the custom & on insistence of Lord Rama!!
and i think panchpativrata r considered which u r mentioning!!and i think panchsatis r difft from panch patvratas!!😕
@Aru Draupadi was following Polyandry (wid multiple husbands) & not polygamy(multiple wives) !! i think u'd mistaken wrote it as polygamy!! and i agree at sum places in india its still practised & even in sum tribal areas of my state they follow this tradition though now its bcuming almost rare wid the advent of educn & sum oder factors!!😊😊

sonali none of the above women were disloyal 2 their husbands!!
lets 1st take Tara-wife of Bali, she married bali's younger bro Sughriva after his death & her son from bali bcame heir of the thorne
2nd is ahilya wife Rishi Gautam. she was v.beautiful & chaste. on heraing abt her beauty Indra in disguise of Rishi Gautam made relation wid her & after hearing it Rishi Gautam cursed indra.& cursed ahilya 2 bcum stone ( though sum says not actual stone but its like living life like a stone & not a human being). 2nd version is that Ahilya though knew abt Indra's treachery just out of curiosity obliged 2 Indra & then cursed 2 b a stone & later on she was given higher place by lord Rama by touching her feet & not touching her wid his feet as sum books say. its not in Valmiki's Ramayana. this came from the "Katha sartisagar" an ancient story books!
3rd Sita every1 know she was v. loyal 2 Lord Rama!!
but sum say sita isn't included in this list & Kunti is there( i don't know surely abt Ahilya,Tara(bali's wife) & sita)
kunti was given boon by Rishi Durvasa 2 invoke any god. & wen once she wa s gazing the sun in the morning or evening she thought of trying that boon & invoked Sun God. he came & give her son as he can't leave widout giving( i think thats as per Niyoga system which was/is sanctioned by our scriptures) and after marriage she remained faithful 2 Pandu but bcoz of curse Pandu cudn't've children so he asked her 2 adopt Niyoga System 2 get children & he also got children 4 his 2nd wife madri!!
In Niyoga system if husband was impotent or cursed like Pandu then society & scripture'd given permission 2 women 2 hav children from oder men esply among the same family relatives but child wud've the name of non-biological father though sumtimes biological father's name was also given but most prevalent was name by non-bilogical father & only he has the rights on those children & not of biological father's!!
4th Mandodari wife of Ravana, she also married Vibhishna after Ravana & her all sons death in the war wid Lord Rama as per the custom!!
5th Draupadi she maried Pandavas that was also as per custom of polyandry which was followed in sum places
so acc. 2 that times rules & laws & customs none of them commited adultry in modern sense also!!😊

There are various versions of epics and all are not authentic as many stories have been interpolated by authors over the years later. As I am not an expert, I cannot comment on them.

About Polyandry I agree with you and I read in news papers about this pratice still being followed in certain tribal areas in the Himalayan region as a custom and also due to less female ratio there. I have read the interviews of such women who have married brothers. Now things are changing there due to education and awareness.
