Rashmi to quit Uttaran?
The leading ladies of Uttaran, Rashmi Desai and Tina Dutta, may not see eye to eye, but when it comes to tantrums and threatening the production house — the two seem well synchronized and can give their Bollywood counterparts a run for their money.
Sometime ago, Tina had reportedly threatened to quit the show after demanding a fee hike, which was met by the makers keeping in mind her popularity.
Now, Rashmi aka Tapasya seems to have taken a leaf out of her nemesis' diary. According to sources, she has decided to quit Uttaran, the show that shot her to fame, as she has a lucrative offer in her kitty. She has left the production house high and dry, as the character is pivotal to the show.
"Rashmi wanted her character to turn positive but the production house couldn't comply to her demand as the story needs her to remain negative. She has been getting offers and now the rumour has it that she has given her nod to a fictional show on another show. She has already put down her papers and has served 20 days of her month-long notice period. The production house is now bewildered with the development. They will definitely try to keep Rashmi back," says a source.
