We seem to be talking only of Jogi and Umed but a child has 2 parents especially in this serial .
The father is the breadwinner whilst it is generally the mother who is the disciplinarian.
Both are equally responsible for imparting the right values and priorities to their children but if the father is to work and discipline the child what is the mother there for????. So comparing just the fathers, to me, is a bit misleading in this serial.

Well, there have been three mothers- mai, divya and ammo. The less said about nani, who is also a mother, the better..😆

Mai- She seems to be more interested in being decked up all the time and being at the dining table.😆. Nobody knows what she was doing when her elder son became a drug addict at 13 years😕. If only she had spent some quality time with him, he might have turned out to be better. She failed to recognize his problem as addiction and instead of treating him, locked him up in his room because she was ashamed of him.

Divya -The first line of mai- ditto.😆 Other than this she did nothing except support Tapasya whenever she did wrong and when Jogi wanted to punish her tried to stop him by saying 'I am her mother, I cannot see her suffer'...Thus she did more damage than good.

Ammo- She did instil some very good values in her daughter, but failed to make her strong. She only trained her to be servile and to please Tapasya at all costs. But the reason for this is she felt very much indebted to Jogi.

Umed- If the authority laid only in his hands, mai might have become better long ago. There was his father daddaji always overruling him on all matters. We do not know all of a sudden how he developed a spine to take such a bold action against them both in supporting Veer - Ichcha marriage. May be he reached a saturation point😆.

Jogi- He thought taking harsh action against his daughter would make her better, but he was horribly wrong. He tried to counsel her, but was not successful, may be because he does not know the depth of her mental imbalance. Anyway, when Tapasya was exposed, he just left bundela house after slapping her...😲..Was his responsibility over with that act? When she came home, he threw her out in the middle of the night!!! As a responsible father, he should have talked to her and taken her to a psychiatrist and later saw to that she got her punishment in jail. Instead after a few weeks of basti- living, he welcomes her and thinks 'All izz well'..😲

So after all this analysis I feel Umed is better because atleast now he took some concrete action😃

Very good points, however Umed too, could have seen his son's addiction and done something about it. I don't think Daddaji would have stopped him on that one.

I agree up to a point about Jogi.

As for concrete action. Jogi does not know what has happened in the Bundela household so it would be unfair to judge him just yet. I am also waiting to see what course of action he will take on Tapasya's pregnancy.

I think in life each person has their faults and virtues. Uttaran is about extremism so it becomes very subjective and each one of us will have a different approach to a similar result eventually.

Liked your analysis.😊

Thank you..😊 I agree with you about Umed's inaction about his son's addiction. I do not know why he did not do the needful. In many events, he has failed as a father, but atleast now, has started on the correct path.

I am sure, as the story progresses, Jogi also will do the right thing, but, I feel things have already got out of hand, in Tapasya's case. He brought a new rishta for her, but instead he could have taken her for counselling, or gone to some place for picnic away from nani and spend time with her and try to understand her inner turmoil, or ask her to take up some course or anything to make her feel better. But good that he gave respect to her feeling and put off that rishta thing. May be he will make the right moves once he understands his daughter.

Exaggeration is the essence of showbiz and diverse viewpoints are the lifelines of interesting discussions 😃

So true👍🏼. Exaggeration is most acceptable but I feel it is the extremism that is going a bit over the top People need to empathise at some level and this is now becoming farcical for the most of the time. Some many issues swept under the rug which might be intentional who knows.😕

We are now on a 'wait and watch' mode.😉

lol the only reason you supported her was because she said something negative about tapu,
the only reason why i asked xavi if he was a veeya or veecha fan is because most veecha fan don't blame jogi for anything ...... i don't see anything wrong in that, because you are veecha fan , u will find everything wrong in me ..... i do think jogi was careless in tapu's life,
