There are 2 issues I would like to address
1.From time to time, I notice viewers change their mind about a character or the serial itself.
In my personal opinion what has happened to this serial and some of the others is that what it started out to be got lost due to TRP's.
The initial storyline which may have been good with a message was discarded once the TRP's started dipping. This is the sadness of our serials. The success of a serial in the foreign countries depends not just on TRP's but the kind of viewers that watch the serial.
In this country our TRP's are calculated in some strange format where if your TV is on that is considered watching the serial when you could actually be on the phone, cooking or anywhere else as long as your TV is on.
No wonder most of the serials shift gears somewhere down the middle from what it started and what it has become.
A family drama should be just that a family drama. You can use whatever characters you want but they need to be realistic. How else will a viewer empathize or sympathize with the character?
Serials introduce characters like visitors who come, leave, steal (but don't get caught) and the list goes on and on. It is a wonder that the minds are not boggled by now.
2.Now there seems to be a debate on who gets banned from this Forum and why.
On morality issues the people who have set out to the policemen of these issues should not just look at what people are writing in this Forum but also ask what the serial is showing to make them write what they feel that may or may not be objectionable.
I am not in favour of bad language or curses but rarely have I come across that in this Forum. By and large people react mildly or strongly with maybe a few instances where someone may overstep the mark.
If you show characters in this serial who are getting away with murder and many other unacceptable characteristics, aren't your viewers human too and allowed mistakes. Please remember that I do not condone it if someone has been hurtful or objectionable.
So I humbly ask the Forum mods who set the rules for this Forum where every rule has been broken in Uttaran by one person or the other, what is the message of this serial so that viewers can abide by your rules? If your aim is to get viewers to empathise with the characters in the serial then maybe some happy episodes, funny episodes might help.
