TellyBuzz had earlier reported that Shreya Creations is working on a love story for Star Plus based on the lines of Jab We Met. We had also written that Aanchal Sabharwal of Bhaskar Bharti fame and Himanshu Malhotra have apparently been roped in as leads of the show.
In addition to this, the production house has another show in the pipeline, which will be based on the backdrop of Honour killing in Haryana. The show tentatively titled 'Main Bulbul Tu Sayyad' is for Zee TV.
A little birdie tells us, "The casting for the Zee TV show is in progress. Many big names have been approached for the same. Milind Gunaji who was seen in Akshay Kumar's latest flick Khatta Meetha has been offered a pivotal role. The same is with Sushant Singh whose supporting roles in movies like The Legend of Bhagat Singh have been iconic. Rohit Khurana who essayed the psychotic character of Vansh in COLORS' Uttaran has been approached for the lead role".
We tried calling Milind Gunaji but he remained unavailable.
Sushant Singh when contacted said, "Yes, I was approached by the production house. As of now, I am waiting for them to take the final call".
Rohit Khurana on his part said, "I have been offered many good shows. I have not decided what I will be taking".
Producer Sheel Kumar commented, "Yes, we are planning a show on Honour killing in Haryana. But it is at a very nascent stage, and there is nothing much to talk about it".
Shreya Creations has Bhagyavidhaata on COLORS running presently.
For the uninitiated, TellyBuzz had earlier written that Pearl Grey is also working on a concept linked to Honour killing for COLORS.
