Rashami Desai, who plays the negative character in Uttaran, says evil traits are only for tele soaps and not for real life, "I am not at all like my tele character, Tapasya. I am a girl next door, who believes in 'live and let live'."

Okay, if not that, then her interest in co-star Nandish Sandhu must be for real, right? "Well, there have been rumours about Nandish and me, but I wouldn't like to comment on it. We are just very, very good friends. We eat together, party together, go for award nights together. Such friendships are bound to happen if one gets to spend so much time with someone," she said.

So if not Nandish, then what kind of a man she is looking for? "Mmm... I think my man should be like Nandish only. He is a perfect partner for me as we have same beliefs about life, like 'work hard and party harder,'" she said. While talking to us she shared that she has another name too. "People in Bhojpuri cinema still know me as Divya. A long time back, someone told my mom that my name should be changed from Divya to Rashami, as this will be good for my career," she said. So did this experiment help? "Yes, it did! After all, I am one of the most popular faces on television today," Rashami said.

Tina Dutta aka Ichcha of Uttaran, the TRP topper on Colors, was in Calcutta recently. "It's always wonderful to come back to my hometown. The people of Calcutta have always been supportive," said the Behala girl who acted in Tolly films like Pita Maatar Santan and Chirodini Tumi Je Aamar before the TV bug bit her. While shooting for Uttaran takes up most of her time, Tina is looking to get back to Bengali films. "If a good offer comes along, I will do anything to be in it".

Tracks are twisted and tweaked in accordance with the TRPs. There's nothing like going by the book or a fixed script.

Few months back, it was buzzed that Uttaran would see a major twist with the character of Vansh (Rohit Khurrana) dying in the show. Nothing of this sort happened at all.

These days the tracks are formulated in a short time and the actors are given the script at the eleventh hour, when they are caught unawares. This delay is done to prevent the track being leaked out. Mind you, producers and certain channels suspect their actors unnecessarily .

Coming back to Uttaran, sources now say that it wasn't Vansh but Veer (Nandish Sandhu) who was supposed to die in the show.

"If Vansh were to die the story wouldn't have progressed. In spite of getting Ichcha (Tina Dutta) married off to Vansh, Tapsaya (Rashmi Desai) can't digest the fact that her childhood friend (and foe) is the badi bahu (elder daughter-in-law) of the house. Back then, the plot was that Veer dies in an accident and then Tapasya is married to Veer's bachelor uncle Tej. She and her new husband would then go on to harass the family, However, this track was shelved for the current one" said a source closely associated with the show.

The current track sees Vansh suspecting that his wife Ichcha is still seeing his brother. Given the amount of confusion, viewers are wondering about whatsgoing to give.

There's no denying that Tej was suppose to come too. One of the members from cast had told us that Tej was to return to the family but taht didn't happen. Besides, Nandish Sandhu has bagged a film. Though, he didn't reveal much, the actor confessed that something was on the anvil. If he does sign for the film, the actor will have to either quit or take a break from Uttaran.

We tried getting word from Nandish Sandhu but to no avail. Similarly, producer Pintoo Guha too didn't respond to our text messages.

Viewers are often left wondering about what will happen next, amidst the prevalent chaotic track of Uttaran. Earlier, the buzz was that Veer would be laid to rest but that hasn't happened so far. The latest rumours doing the rounds are liable to shock one and all.

According to grapevine, the focus will now shift from the four main protagonists (Ichcha-Vansh, Tapasya-Veer) to Jogi Thakur (Ayub Khan). Jogi Thakur's dark secret will be revealed on the eve of his 25th wedding anniversary celebrations.

"Soon, Jogi and Divya Thakur (Pragati Mehra) will be throwing a party to celebrate 25 years of their marriage. Major drama will unfold when a girl gate crashes into the party claiming to be Jogi Thakur's illegitimate child. Auditions for this character are on. A familiar face is likely to be picked for this role. This new track is expected to create a high point in the show, and will hopefully boost the ratings as well. It will take about 2-3 weeks for this track to go on air." said a source.

The channel, actors, and the production house are expectedly tight lipped about this news. Will this new track work? Only time will tell.

He's been linked with the 'Uttaran' co-actor Rashmi Desai, but Nandish Sandhu has always maintained that he's single. Well, looks like Sandhu's claim may not be true at all. Let me assure you before you jump in anticipation, that the girl in question is not Rashmi Desai.

Sandhu is in a live-in relationship with the unheralded actor Aradhana Uppal if gossipmongers are to be believed. Their equation goes back to the days of their debut show – 'Khwaish', where Nandish played the character of Yasir Hussain, while Aradhana played a less significant role.

Aradhana is also said to have featured in an advertisement featuring Sridevi.

Nandish Sandhu remained unavailable for comment despite repeated attempts to reach him.

Human beings change partners like they change their cell phones in this day and age.

We were hearing about Nandish Sandhu still seeing his 'Khwaish' co-actor Aradhana Uppal, a few days back. However, the relationship is history now. He's long denied having an affair with his 'Uttaran' co-actor Rashmi Desai, but their frequent public appearances together speaks otherwise.

The duo walked in holding hands at the press conference of a TV award ceremony last Saturday. Mind you, holding hands doesn't necessarily mean the two are seeing each other.

An eye witness recalls, "Nandish and Rashmi kept holding hands. It was almost like they were flaunting their relationship. Surprisingly, they still deny that they are a couple. One doesn't know what their intent is."

According to sources, Nandish has been winding up a little early from the shoot of 'Uttaran', when Rashmi isn't shooting. Perhaps, she's busy rehearsing for 'Zara Nachke Dikha' then. He's also said to have been seen around the sets of 'Zara Nachke Dikha'.

In the past, Desai was linked with the 'Bandini' actor Bharat Chawda. Back then, the girl had confessed to being close to Chawda and his family. It was the Gujarati connection that bound them together, she said.

A little birdie from the sets of 'Bandini' informs us, "Rashmi no longer comes to the sets to meet Bharat. Guess, that pretty much says that their relationship has now become history. Though, she's said so in public, Rashmi has confessed to her close friends that she's seeing Nandish."

Well, it would be immature to jump to conclusion until we hear from the horse's mouth. Sadly, both Nandish and Rashmi remained unavailable for comment.

Colors' new show 'Kitchen Champion' has already created a buzz with the audiences as the promos of the first episode come on air.

We spoke to Pragati Mehra regarding her experience on the show and she said "Being on this show was a total fun experience. As you must have seen in the promos, we had to do crazy things along with cooking. Initially I thought that the show was just about cooking but the twists came as a surprise. All of us were shocked and surprised with the things that we had to do but all in all we had a great time. I was even running around with a knife in my hand at one instance which you will hopefully get to see in the first episode after the edit"

Talking about Ronit Roy as a host, she said "Ronit was supposed to do the naughty things to distract us from cooking. This is the first time that I am working with him and he is a wonderful personality. He made us very comfortable as a host and we had a great interaction"

The show will be on air from the 14th of June at 1 pm Monday through Thursday.
