Few minutes later

She sat on her bed trying hard to recall the latest happenings in her life but she couldn't. It was totally erased from her distraught mind. "Am i suffering from partial amnesia due to that nite incident. Hearing that whisper calling out my name could have created trauma in my brain'.

Just then her phone rang. It was the principal. 'Oh God, i am supposed to be at work today'. She answered at the fifth ring still thinking of an excuse to give to Mrs Soni for not attending the morning class".

" Hi tejo , kaisi ho. How u feel now. U called monday morning stating u had fever and cold due to weather changes. Winters are over and summer approaching".

Tejo was shocked' huh , what's going on'

" Tejo , are u there , I can't hear u dear". The principal was worried.

" Irrk, Mrs. Soni i am better now. Can i come to work today . Feeling bored at home". She wanted to get away. Her confused mind was killing her to the core.

" No girl, another teacher replaced ur classes. U take rest and join next Monday. But if u want to just get out of ur hse a while, u can come and collect ur students' assignments and we can have a cup of tea. The staffs are missing u".

Tejo was delighted. " Ok mam, i will be there rite away".

In the kitchen

Sati was preparing lunch when she walked up to her and said

"Mummy , thodi der bahar ja rehi hun , vo ...

" Peta hain, NGO ka kaam hain. Pichle kuch din tum vehi kar rehi thi. Jaldi ana aur raat ghar per rukna. Pichli baar ki terah bahar mat rehna".

Sati interrupted without looking at her daughter while cutting vegetables.

Tejo was taken aback. ' what? i stayed back out as well and i was tied up with charity work?. What is happening?? '

She needed to get away soon. She had to talk to someone. She can't inform her family that she was suffering from partial memory loss. They would panic.

She perspired while walking to the campus which was approximately three kilometres from her residence. It was funny and she was amused . She felt like walking when she actually never liked pressuring her feet. She was fond of taking lifts or rickshaw or a taxi. The furthest she had walked in her entire life was less than 1 km . She hated long distance walks.

But today it was entirely different. She felt that she had turned into a new leaf. Even in the morning, she had two aloo ka parotha instead of one. An increase in appetite. What was going on?? She was changing!

Just then

Two young guys on a motorcycle passed by whistling at her. She ignored and continued her journey. Then they made a u turn and started following her with naughty remarks trying to tackle her. She was irritated. As one of the guy approached closer , there she went

A flying kick right on his face and a punch in the stomach of the other.

They freaked out and ran away leaving their bike behind.

Tejo stood in silence. Shocked at the sudden act of her reflex. Wow ! I learn martial arts in just four days during the partial amnesia phase?? Who was my instructor??

Thousands of questions but not a single clear answer. She sighed to her sorrow of memory loss nightmare

As soon as Tejo left , Sandhus were in a conversation in the living room. They were glad that she didn't even enquired about Virks leaving in the early morning towards Jagraon. Even Candy didn't wake her up Simran told him that Tejo aunty was exhausted after the continuous charity work . Do not disturb her'

Gurpreet rang a while ago thanking them for their kind hospitality and stated that they reached safely. Fateh was still in a bad shape . It will take a month or more to recover. He was fully on bed rest. He was missing tejo and Mahi informed him that she( tejo ) was busy with some new projects . Once he recovered fully , they will return to Moga and hopefully retain their property.

An hour later

She felt relieved after having a cup of tea with the principal and fellow colleagues . Their light conversations made her happy , forgetting her recent state of messed up mind and events.

She took a lift from one of her colleagues towards the town area. She wanted to meet Dr. Harbhajan Sidhu , a well known psychiatrist and her ex professor. He was the only one who had the right answer to her ambiguous mental state.

Will the psychiatrist reveal to tejo the answer to her problem.

Will she be hypnotized??

Part 11

At the clinic, 3 pm.

" Hi tejo . Kaisi ho . Have a seat" the middle aged doctor's polite voice welcomed her to a chair opposite his desk.

" So kaise ana hua. Heard u received best teacher's title last year. Mrs. Soni told me during her visit to my clinic with her ill mother in law "

Tejo tried to calm herself . She was coming near to her answers. This was the man who could help her.

" Irrk , all credit goes to u sir, u taught me well".

He smiled widely.

" U were a good student".

She felt a little nervous. He noticed instantly.

" Anything bothering u dear. Mujhey betau. What can i do for u ".

She started crying and he stood up at once moving towards her patting her back , trying to console .

" It's ok. Speak up. U will feel lighter".

She spilled the details of the incident on Saturday nite followed by missing the four days of her life. She even showed him the bruises on her arm, neck and leg.

Dr. Sidhu did some tests after listening to Tejo's puzzling statement.

She waited anxiously for few minutes as he went through the details of the tests.

" U are perfectly fine, tejo".

" Am i suffering from partial memory loss due to trauma?" She enquired, confused.

He replied politely ,

" No, u didn't encounter with any accident or violence that nite that could have triggered a trauma in ur brain. So no question of partial memory loss but there is something that could have happened that particular time which explained your losing the touch of events the following days".

" What?" She was desperate to find out .

" Do u believe in supernatural " he enquired anxiously.

She was shocked . " What?"

He continued slowly

" Listen very calmly tejo " .

She was all ears as her pulses raised. She was finally getting to the answer.

" U were possessed by a spirit. It took charge of ur body , mind and emotions"

Tejo freaked out almost slipping from her seat but fortunately he held her tightly from dropping to the floor

" Nurse , pls get me a glass of water". He instructed his staff.

Five minutes later.

She took a few deep breath as per the psychiatrist's instructions after drinking some water. She had a panic attack.

As she became normal and calmer, he explained to her that the good and evil prevailed on mother Earth.

She heard a woman's whisper and then was knocked out of her senses. That's the only reasonable explanation that she was possessed. The reasons can be found out through hypnotism strategies but it would create more stress for her later. She might even get nightmares.

He advised her to relax and give herself some time. She was in her normal self . It meant that the soul left her body with no intentions of harming her. She was safe.

He prescribed some medications to release her stress and helped her to sleep well.

She thanked the doctor and pleaded to keep the matter confidential. Her family shouldn't find out. He knew her parents well. He and rupi were ex schoolmates.

He assured her that patient's records were confidential.

An hour and a half later

As she stepped into the front porch of her house, she was surprised to see a police jeep . She ran towards the living room to check the details.

Sati was unconscious while Dolly was crying badly and trying to wake her. Biji suffered heart attack and was taken to the hospital immediately by their kind neighbour , Mr Inder Singh who just returned from town after visiting his ill mother. Abhiraj and Harman accompanied him.

God ! What happened?? She panicked and rushed forward to check on her mum.

" Mummy kya hua. Taiji kya hua! She screamed.

Dolly couldn't speak. Sati suffered a panic attack. Tejo rushed to the kitchen , returning with a jar of water. Sprinkled on her mum's face a few times till she regained consciousness.

Sati hugged tejo tightly stating

" Jasmin nehin rehi"

Apparently , the police discovered her dupatta covered with blood stains around a cliff area . . Perhaps she was murdered and thrown off from the high point. She was involved in a fraud business of trapping rich men and it could have been a foul play. Someone killed her. They were still searching for her body.

Sweety made a police report on Tuesday evening when she realised that jasmin was not attending to her phone calls and didn't meet up with her for their lunch appointment. She knew that Jasmin was involved in illegal activity and could sense trouble.

The inspector executed a search mission and found some evidence related to jasmin. Her blood covered dupatta and her wallet.

Her id card and driving license were disclosed to the family. Sati recognized the dupatta.

Rupi sat at one corner in silence trying to control his emotions of losing his younger daughter. It was shocking and unbelievable. Part of him was relieved that she was gone.

Was Jasmin really dead??

Was it Mihika's trick??

Part 12.

Two days passed and only then a call came from the police department instructing Rupi to identify a dead burnt body found finally nearby the cliff area. The face was totally damaged and unrecognizable. The dental records matched Jasmin's. The findings from the forensic report were disclosed to the distraught family.

The next day

Jasmin's final rituals took place. The virks were not aware. Harman decided not to inform them. As it is , they were already going through a lot of pain lately and jasmin's sudden death news would shatter them more. One sorrow after the other.

Tejo was devastated. She lost her one and only sister. Sati remained in a state of shock sitting at one corner. She didn't utter a single word The rest were upset . Biji was in the hospital, recovering after a minor surgery. She was kept under observation. The kind neighbour helped to settle her bills as Sandhus had other expenses to bear for jasmin's final rituals. They would repay mr. Inder later on.

All the while Rupi who was calm and controlled his emotions finally shed tears when he was instructed by the priest to light the fire to fulfill her last journey. His hands shivered as he held the wooden stick .

" Kaha tha tujhey jasmin sudherja, lekin tune meri aek baat nehin mani. Apney karmon ka phel akhir bugetliya tune. Aek bhar apni maa key bare mey soch leti. Kaise jiyegi vo tere bina".

Abhiraj supported him and completed the final rituals. Atma shanti prayers ( Garud Katha) followed by a hawan took place later on. The thirteenth days rituals after cremation were fulfilled to bless her soul to be in peace and to allow the family to live peacefully as well.

They were worried she might haunt them in the form of a ghost. She didn't spare them when she was alive. Will she permit them to be happy after her death?? They were anxious. Dolly even invited a tantric baba to check if there was any spirit roaming in the hse named jasmin Sandhu.

Biji who finally was discharged from the hospital , instructed abhiraj to smear salt at all corners of their residence. It is believed that salt prevents the entry of the evil spirits into one's house.

The fourteenth day

As they say once the grey clouds are removed , the bright ones returns, Sandhus received a good news in the form of a courier parcel.

It was addressed to Sati Sandhu

The content

A covering letter and a legal document of a property located at Hoshiarpur. A renovated , well maintained bungalow of 7800 sqft with a market value of 360 crocre was gifted to Sati Sandhu from the owner ,

Mihika Chauhan.

Sati was instructed to be in Hoshiarpur in a week's time to place her signature on the property transfer documents . Sandhus were extremely shocked. It took them a while to settle.

An hour later,

Abhiraj closed the front entrance so that neighbours couldn't hear them dancing with joy with the beat of a drum . Why allow people to talk? A death just took place in the family

Sati couldn't believe her eyes and kept reading the docs numerous times till tejo had to snatch them away from her before she( sati) went crazy. One shock after the other.

In her bedroom

Tejo kept the documents in her drawer.

Who was Mihika Chauhan. The name sounded familiar. Like she heard it before.

Why did she gift her bungalow to my mother

What is her connection with my family.

Thousands of questions. She needed answers . She decided to leave for Hoshiarpur immediately before her mother signed the property papers. Something was fishy.

She had to go alone. Her father won't allow her to do so as he would be worried for her safety. She had to make ecxuses. The NGO work at neighbouring villages was a good excuse.

She read the name of the sender and was determined to meet him

Mr. Ashok Chabra , Chandigarh.

Tejo took off to Chandigarh the next morning.

Part 13

The journey to Chandigarh was three hours by road in a hired cab. She left at 8 am giving excuses to the family that the principal instructed her for some last minute charity works in the neighborhood.

Tejo was offered a compensation leave of four weeks after receiving Jasmin's death news. The principal was kind enough to advise her to take a break while another teacher took over her classes. She needed to take care of her health. Mrs. Soni noticed she(tejo) was under stress lately.

As she sat in the taxi , she received a disturbing phone call from Mahi . She was too indulged in her own sorrows of being possessed and followed by her sister's sudden demise that she totally forgotten about fateh and his family.

Mahi stated that they would return in few days time.

Tejo was surprised and thought to herself. When did they leave Moga? What happened??

She was not aware of their property being sealed.

Then she realized that she lost four days of her life to another soul, how would she know?

She pretended to be aware of their absence and consoled Mahi that 'all will be ok. Don't worry'

The other surprise came when she found out fateh was attacked and hospitalized.

Mahi stated "veerji taking full rest and missing u. He complained u never once visited him at the hospital and u never rang him the past few weeks to check on his condition. He's upset".

So much occurred during that four days and she was not aware. Even her family didn't utter a word.

11.30 am , Mr. Ashok's residence, Chandigarh

She was amazed to see the tall , muscular and good looking gentleman who appeared younger than his actual age(58 yrs old) walking towards her to introduce himself , after the housekeeper requested her to take a seat in the living room. He seemed friendly and warm. She felt that he looked familiar. She'd met him before.

His details were in the documents and she rang him the previous nite enquiring about the property gifted to her mum but he instructed her to visit him as there were more surprises awaiting for her. He told her that it was Mihika who possessed her weeks ago due to a valid reason She was shocked. He also stated that he was her uncle and Mihika left a letter for her.

Tejo couldn't wait. She needed answers. So she took the call the next morning itself. Who was Mihika? What was happening??

Few minutes later,

At Ashok's study room

He handed over to her the sealed green envelope with her name clearly written on it in Mihika's very own handwriting. A deceased woman connected with her. She was touched but at the same time frightened. What was the message Mihika wanted to give her. Questions in her distraught mind.

Mr. Ashok ordered his butler to offer her a cup of tea and then left her alone for privacy to read and understand the content of the letter

The first page was a detail of Mihika's biography and background. How she lost her parents and how much she loved her sister. Then the betrayal part and how her murder was planned. As tejo read she became emotional. She began to understand things clearer . Mihika was her( tejo) reflection and faced the same betrayal that she( tejo) did. She had the same shrewd sibling. Their life moved in parallel direction except that tejo was still alive but in danger.

Finally she understood Mihika's intentions for the letter . Never trust ur loved ones. Life is valuable. They could betray u anytime conquering what is yours. Learn to be aware of the signs and defend yourself before it's too late. U will lose ur precious gift of living and surrender to death. Repenting later is of no use. U didn't value ur life when u had the chance.

The second page was a brief explanation of the reason she took over Tejo's body. She missed being a part of a family. She didn't value her life despite getting warnings from her ex- schoolmate who already suspected that something was going on between her husband and sister.

Mihika kept the rescue mission as a secret. She didn't want tejo to know the full truth that she punished the cheaters as that might lead to her uncle getting into trouble later on . Tejo should not find out that Ashok was behind Virks properties being sealed. He had contacts in government agencies. Virks needed to sew their seeds just like their son.

The third page was shocking. A new surprise. Sati's past connection with Mihika
