Tejo: An ideal daughter who got an opportunity to study in abroad but refused saying she wants to study in punjab .Participated in ball on family pressure so that her family could go to canada.Got married to jass again due to family pressure so that her sister could get a canadian groom.Initially telling jasmin canada is your dream so you have to fullfill on your own.Doing every thing for sister like selecting clothes for her .She never let her choose her clothes.She made her sister completely dependent on her .After marrying fateh again due to family pressure she is putting blaim on jasmin and started chameli whom she use to love the most.

Jasmin: Initially shown as an innocent girt who was too much dependent on her sister.She was ready to risk her life for her after jass wedding suddenly tstart scheming against her own sister.She was obssesssed with canada dream and then suddenly forgot the dream.She wants to look most beautiful but have no fashion sense.Everything was done by her sister.Though I think only realistic character she is doing what she is saying.

Fateh:Madly in love with jasmin.Ready to anything for her.Though jasmin has mentioned since starting that Canada is important for her.But when she broke the marriage keep blaming her.He himself was at fault.He himself hide the truth .Jasmin rejected varun proposal for him and has been mentioning her only dream is canada and told him clearly that if your visa is cancelled you should tell her first still he hudes the truth and still blaim ger for everything.After marriage hiding his real feelings from tejo and go physical with her also now saying I love jasmin.

Sandhu family: Always promoting canada dream but when jasmin broke her marraige start accusing her for the same.Never took a stand.

I agree most of Tejo's characters is just overtly sacrificing. Hopefully after heartbreak she'll be better. But getting married wasn't 100% her fault. I feel like everyone was a bit wrong and a bit right that day.

I still feel they went overboard with her obsession. Initially she did what she said but now with the whole suicide and all it's a bit too much.

At the beginning it was kind of okay.

There are several families (especially in villages of punjab) that want their girls to marry NRI especially Candian residents. The two sister also seemed fine. Jasmine; young, bubbly, sheltered. Wants to go to Canada cause that is all she has learnt.

Tejo being older, more mature, educated. Loves her family...(the selfless part is a bit much)

Fateh was never properly fleshed out as a character. He was only ever treated as a love interest, side character when his character should have been depicted the most.

Then the character development went downhill. For each and every character. Now it is terrible. Can't relate to anyone, not even the damn storyline.
