Books like these really make you view the world in a different light. I actually read it after the entire pandemic began so the impact was more so during those periods of being alone 😆
Hahahaha... the story of every bookworm!
I have an entire stack of books that I keep buying every time there is a sale I come across and they just stay there unread... I just keep staring at them because I am so lazy to read nowadays 😆
Real life tires you out to a point where even books are no longer an escape 😆
I miss the days when I was in college where I would just devour one book after another, walking through different doors that lead me into different worlds created by the authors
Do you mean forty rules of love By Elif Shafak? 😃
Read it and LOVED IT. I found this new found affinity to sufisim and urdu poetry after getting a wonderful book gifted by a friend of mine.
I was highly recommended by a friend to read Palace of Illusions because I am a Krishna devotee 😆 but I don't prefer it when authors twist the original stories into something entirely different. Not all authors can pull that off.
@ red
Same here! It's just makes you feel, you want to be this good person right! No hate, grudge etc... That book is just something else man! I picked up The five people you meet in heave by the same author. Yet to read it tho. Am stuck with The Mill On the Floss as of now, and like u said real life is so tiring, there hardly any time for personal grooming or anything we love💔!
Yes, yes, Forty rules of love! Gonna pick this up as well asap 🤣💜. I also just realized I wrote Enchanted forest. It's the Forest of Enchantments.... Basically am not a fan of religious stuff, slightly apprehensive about picking it up.
@ purple may I know which one?
Poetry I usually stick to the contemporary wale 🤣- Drake, Sin, and I have just one book by Atticus, his book seem like most of them are quotes more than poetry. But loved it nonetheless.
Rumi ofcourse is ❤️❤️! Khalil Gibran goes a little over my head 😂😂. Sometimes I gotta read it twice to understand.
Do you read short stories? I think given the time factor and work pressure to deal with imma move to it🦋! At least one story will be over in a day 😂.
