Exactly, atleast amrik has a reason to dislike tejo because she had slapped him. But i dont know why he is siding with jasmine (cannot find logic for this🥱)

But i cannot understand what reasons gurpreet have for this behavior, we cannot say the same for maachi because we know she is the type of person who enjoys drama very much, its her life's motto to "always spice things up". This gurpreet really has to sort out her issues, because enmity without even a proper reason seems real childish and nonsensical..

Amrik is atleast portrayed to be a college kid, so even if he is being petty over that slap, we can say he is being petty and can learn from the behavior. Lekin Gurpreet is beyond logic, sacchi, coz even if she believes those aunties about Tejo's 1st marriage, she should be direct about it and bring it up with Tejo alone so that it can be cleared out once and for all. She cannot hold that against Tejo and keep torturing her with taunts like only her son suffered in the ordeal.

I was literally planning to start a new topic for this. I would say it's a moment that calls for celebration not only for Fatejo fans but overall Udaariyan fans too because we all know what happens when the male lead is shown to be a spineless character (like Virat from GHKKPM): The show is literally surviving because of Sai's character acted out by Ayesha Singh in an outstanding manner but Sairat fans have begun to reduce.

Back to the topic, I am sure most of us fans were disappointed when the friendship bond between Fatejo was compromised for the drama in the show post marriage. But now we are not only getting those bonding moments of trust and respect back but also Fateh's protective side. Remember he had stood up for Tejo even during the Mata ki Chowki episode? Fateh has always been loyal to a fault. That's his most admirable trait for me. Although his only mistake might be giving his loyalty to someone like Jasmine who can only encash it and not reciprocate the same. All in all, I am glad, Fateh's character hasn't been compromised upon to the extent that we start feeling that they killed him. I sincerely hope, the makers don't compromise upon his character in the future.

I think the main reason behind her behavior is Jassu's return for her nice Saas avatar. Now she doesn't want the same thing to happen. Adding onto it Maachi's spicy commentary, she has begun showing her so-called political side to avoid Tejo from repeating Jassu's episode. Besides Satti's words have played a major role in her behavior because she supported her daughter even when she was in the wrong. So she might be thinking that Tejo is just as spoilt as Jasmine and if she brings up any issue with Tejo's mistakes Satti might again respond by taking Tejo's side even if she were in the wrong.

In my opinion, Gurpreet has a lot of similarities she shares with Tejo than she would care to admit. Especially in terms of family values.

  • They both value family a lot and can do anything to maintain harmony. Most of the time these two act as mediators when conflict occurs.
  • Others' happiness matter to them the most.
  • Have a tendency to suffer silently.
  • And most importantly, have younger sisters they love to the point that they ignore their flaws. Not completely ignore, they do reprimand Nimmo and Jassu when they feel their younger sisters have gone too far but overall they tend to overlook everything in the end and are ; back to being loving and elder sisters.

That's why Gurpreet should be able to at least relate to Tejo on this level and not judge her on the basis of Jassu's character.

I can't help but agree that everything here is spot-on. But there might be another underlying reason for her aggressiveness towards Tejo, and that might have something to do with jealousy.

Tejo is confident, to the point she fights Fateh if she feels he's wrong and he HAS TO LISTEN.

Whereas how many times have you seen Gurpreet do the same with Khushbeer? Every time she says something she gets sidelined by her husband. Hence, her jealousy makes her take out those repressed feelings on Tejo, she constantly feels the urge to remind Tejo that she (Gurpreet) is in charge, when quite frankly she's just reminding herself.

Off topic but you've got quite the interesting username. Been thinking so for a while.😆

yes, you have a point there. But I think Khushbeer has a much more domineering and dominating personality compared to others. So her getting sidelined is kinda expected. Although it could also be because she doesn't get along with Khushbeer in terms of intellectual wavelength so I don't really blame him for disregarding her opinions most of the time. She hardly has any chance to exercise her decision-making power except for household management. And now comes Tejo who she has not only the chance to dominate since people won't speak up for her so soon due to the circumstances in which Fatejo got married but also like others have pointed out, insecurity about Fatejo's bond. Maybe on a subconscious level, she can sense the difference in Fateh's protectiveness towards Tejo and Jasmine. With Tejo, he has always treated her fairly and respects her in a way that's supported by trusting in her decision-making. With Jasmine, it has always been like she's childish so Mom please teach her and understand her. This showed that with Jasmine he will still need Gurpreet to manage things, close to interfering and keeping an eye on JasFa's married life.

I dont think that first marriage is even an issue with her, because in her monologues she never said about this topic, its always something outlandish like todays epi, i mean how she came to the conclusion that tejo is creating rift between mom and her son..

Its bizarre😵...
