Suraj knew today his entry in his house wasn't going to be a pretty scene so watching his steps he opened his house door with one hand while holding his princess in the other... unlike every other days Avya wasn't the chattering mess she always was... she instead had her little head dug in the crook of Suraj's neck
"Chakor!!" The first word from his lips as he walked in the hall... she acknowledged his presence while cooking... though it was merely a glare thrown in their direction ... sensing that glare Avya's little grip grew tighter on Suraj's shirt and he rubbed her back comfortingly a sign which didn't escape Chakor
"Put her down" She said walking towards the duo... She was angry and it was clear to them.. her cheeks were redder and puffier ... Suraj tried his charming Smile but no it wasn't working... Avya refused to be let down by her father but a relax nod from Suraj made her feel more confident as she stood on feet
"What happened jaan why are you soo angry" He asked walking towards her to take her in his arms while pretending to be clueless about the current situation by that he received a deadly silent threat which made him stop abruptly
"You really don't know what your princess did even after getting her from school??" Chakor having placed her hands on her hips trying to look intimidating as she taunted at the father and daughter duo who lowered their head regretfully
"Avya!!!! what did we talk about opting for violence??" Chakor's tone was dropped from affectionate to strict ... she wasn't always strict with her daughter.. Avya was her life but sometimes specially nowadays she's been feeling like Avya is slipping out of control... she will behave like a brat if not received whatever she asked for and the biggest culprit for this change was Suraj who turned into a puddle infront of his daughter ... everything Avya asked for whether its good or bad Suraj would listen and when Chakor would say no he'd try to pacify her instead of their daughter
"Chakor we just came ... let her freshen up eat something then we can talk about it" He tried... keyword tried to shift the conversation but knowing his dearest Wife she wasn't going to let go which she didn't
"Enough Suraj!!!!!!! i know you are already aware of what happened but to refresh your memory ... Our dearest daughter here ... has assaulted a boy with her pencil case... Assaulted Suraj!!!" She snapped angrily... her tone made her daughter move closer to her father
"mummaa" Avya tried to defend herself weakly but the stink eyes from Chakor made her lock her little lips and bend her face poutingly again ... she was guilty... she didn't like to make her mumma angry but that boy was mean to her
"Chakor!!! It's not Avi's fault... that boy was pulling her hairs and teasing her" Suraj walked behind her wrapping his arms around her waist which she strongly pulled away from showing she wasn't to be messed with atleast not now
"Really Suraj???? If someone was teasing her... she should complain to the teacher and if the teacher doesn't do anything then complain to us.. not throw her pencil case at the boy's eyes making it go RED!!!!" her words were gradually turning into shouts causing them to lock their lips... of course Suraj had explained Avya it wasn't right to throw things at others but he couldn't scold her
"Avya say sorry to mumma and go inside" He again tried to control the situation ... he watched her daughter lift her head showing her sparkly eyes which held her tears as she held her ears and mumbled "I am sorry mumma i will never do it again" looking at her father who nodded at her as if saying it's okay he will handle it and she should just go ... with her backpack on her back she walked slowly towards her room leaving her seething with anger mom behind with her father
"I am not accepting this Suraj!!!! I am not upbringing my daughter like a spoil brat who will think sorry can solve everything" Chakor was feeling insecure recently... she wanted her daughter to be anything but spoil... everytime Aayansh cried... everytime Avya did something she felt like she was failing as a parent and couldn't stop thinking about her own parents... she always thought she'd learn from them... go right everywhere they went wrong but it wasn't enough
Cupping her face he slowly said "I know Chakor Avya isn't turning in a brat... she's just a child... she acted implusively nothing big" He didn't like the frown on Chakor's beautiful face
His words weren't doing it for her since she recognized he was one of the biggest reason of Avya straying off track "Acted implusively because she knows whatever she does her father will be there supporting her!!! like you just did... send her in her room and save her from being scolded for what she did"
He could understand what was Chakor implying too but he was trying his best not to be offended by she questioning his parental skill "Chakor i can't scold Avya and i know you will feel bad too after scolding her also maybe by scolding her she will understand us but by doing that we will just kill the hope of she learning new thing.. whatever she will do she will fear us scolding her afterwards" He was speaking from experience... fear from his parents were also one of the biggest factor he denied shouldering his responsibility towards Chakor but she wasn't understanding... she was blinded by her own insecurity so she disregarded his point of view... she wasn't even thinking the reason of he thinking that way
"I may feel bad after scolding her Suraj but atleast she'll understand violence is not the key... by helping her in her every wrong things you're turning her into a brat.. just like you were ... she will soon start running away from her responsibility thinking her father will always be there covering for her mistakes!!!!!" She snapped without realizing her words went too far... the flash of hurt on her husband's face was a clear sign she was overboard her words... it wasn't fair throwing this on him... not now when he had been always helping her towards everything... she would not even get to change Aayansh's diapers somedays because Suraj would do it first
While for him her words indirectly told him what was she soo worried about.. she was worried for what if Avya turned out to be like him? In a way he couldn't blame her... he knew she was right... "i am sorry Chakor i made you think like that but i am also sorry for i can't scold Avya ... having lived your pregnancy with Aayansh these days made me realize how much i missed about Avya... i missed her every first times.. i can't help that guilt Chakor i love my daughter very much i want her to love me back and not fear me i want to remove that 4 years from her memory when her irresponsible father wasn't in her life" His voice was soo weak it made her purse her lips.. she knew unknowingly she had hurt her husband... she didn't want to see her love soo vulnerable infront of her by bringing their past between them but she did ... She wanted to say something to make it better atleast a sorry or a hug but before she could he left saying "i know Avya will not be ME because she has a mother like you Chakor"
He walked away hiding the drops which fell from his eyes not because he was hurt by her words he wasn't... she said the truth but he was feeling unaccomplished no matter what he did... it wouldn't change the fact he had had hurt Chakor and his Avya along... he couldn't see her own eyes which was wet by her tears as she heard his car drive away
Flashback
Her Avya was almost 4 years old sitting in the park with her hands holding her cheeks which puffed up along with the matching frown on her forehead and lips... Chakor's tiredness was gone in a moment seeing that cute little face which had uncanny similiarities to her but her attitude was everything adopted from her father.. a father she had never met
Sitting next to her placing her hands on her cheeks just Avya she said "Why is my princess soo angry" ... Avya slowly turned her face ... her mumma had the same pout and frown as hers
"Refused to play with Avi" She said glummily
"who??"
"i ragazzi!!!!" (the boys) She mummured keeping her eyes fixed on the boys of her age who played with the ball... leaving a sigh Chakor looked at the other girls who played with their dolls pretending to have a tea party while her own daughter was being adamant to play with the ball instead... she wished she could have given Avya her father... Maybe Suraj would have had played with her... her thought only made her stand straighting her blouse before lifting her daughter in her arms
"Lets go play with the ball" She said to her princess who drove a cheerful yelp of victory in her mother's arms
Chakor wasn't a fan of playing with the ball but anything for her daughter.. anything that was in the boundary.. she was going to be a good mother even without the help of Suraj... She promised herself to raise her daughter well
Back to present
Walking in Avya's room she peeked inside... Avya had changed her uniform into her dress sitting on the bed she had a book open infront of her but Chakor couldn't miss the frown on her face... she walked inside dragging her daughter's attention sitting next to her as Avya quickly hugged her... "I am sorry mumma the boy was being bad to me... papa too said it was bad to beat people... i should tell the miss i will never be a bad girl again i promise" this wasn't bad parenting... Suraj had talk to Avya while she kept on saying he was pampering her.. maybe not scold but in his own words he'd explain to her the difference between right and wrong... hearing her daughter now she felt guiltier for her husband
"it's okay Princess but next time mumma doesn't want to hear you hit someone.. if anybody troubles you ... first you tell the elders okay?" the nod and smile from her princess was reassuring... soo much it vanquished her fears and insecurity but doubled her guilts
As for Suraj he drove away for a while... he knew Chakor was perhaps feeling worried and guilty for what she said... he'd never be able to tell her the kind of relationship he had with his own parents ... the kind he will never want with his children
Flashback
Suraj was already feeling guilty and dissappointed after having lost his hardwork for a certain project... he wanted to ask for some tips from his father... he always feared though.. he feared asking for advice might show his weakness and unawareness towards his father's company which actually was never his goal at the first place
"You plan to drown my company or what????" Kamal Narayen had scolded him while Tejaswini stood sympathically in the background.. his mother always gave his father priority
"Dad i tried my best i dunno how i lost the project" He had planned to tell his father everything in that instant he wished to have that fatherly bond "i am trying everything... i even postponed my wedding for this" Which was true... he rarely even met Imli nowadays whats even stranger is he didn't even missed her sometimes he wondered whether he was too lost in the project or he even had feelings for the girl
"You clearly are not trying well Enough Suraj... you make me feel ashame to call you my Son" The audacity in Kamal Narayen's voice was evident ... he meant each and every of his words not knowing how it was troubling his son... Suraj felt wrecked on the inside...he somehow was there expecting some support from his parents but he got nothing... just like when he was child other the materialistic stuffs he was never given with love .. he looked at his mother pleadingly wishing she'd say she wasn't dissapointed in him but she'd only steal her gaze away from his face avoiding any eye contact
He had left the house that day and bought his apartment... in his mind he thought about how he would have been as a parents? Like his father?? He was already worst than his father for his child might not even get the acknowledge of its dad's identity.. that day he also made a wish... if ever given the chance of being a dad he'd be better than that.. better than his father was and he will always support his children ...but it was a wish which he had already failed in past
Chakor was changing Aayansh's onesie when the bell rang... she immediately thought of Suraj and smiled but why would Suraj knock? Anywho she cooed babyishly to her son about his papa is home ... Aayansh returned her back a happy grin of his own which looked an awful lot like his father
Opening the door she found her mother instead of Suraj..." Maii?" she wasn't expecting her mother but then Kasturi came over everywhile when she missed her daughter and grandchildren wanting to make up for the lost time something for which Chakor never complained she loved time with her mother
"I was cooking your favorites so i thought to bring some over" kasturi said looking at her daughter who was now grown up ... her six months old son in her arms who rested his head on her chest quietly as they sat on the couch
"how is my handsome Ayu???" Kasturi asked as he heard his name Ayu lifted his head looking at peeking at her to again throw his head on Chakor's chest nuzzling himself back to the comfort of his mother
"Ayu is fine maii" Chakor stroke the little hairs on her prince head lovingly
"Avya???" She asked her eyes roaming around looking for her darling grand daughter
"maii Avya is having her afternoon nap.. she had a long day today" she remembered after their little moment together her daughter had dozzed off in her lap... leaving a kiss on her forehead Chakor had decided to let her rest
Kasturi looked at Chakor's face properly... it was missing its usual glow "is everything okay Bachua?"
"hmm Maii" Chakor's mind was still wondering about Suraj.. she didn't want to offend him.. she didn't mean those words
"Where's Suraj?" from the rosy flush on her daughter's face upon hearing Suraj's name she knew something wasn't fine... she was behaving strange
"Suraj is out" She didn't know what to say more... she tried calling his cell but he wasn't taking... eversince their wedding this was the first time they fought
" Are you happy???" Kasturi knew the answer was clear... Chakor was happy with Suraj
"Suraj is a very nice guy Chakor.. he did wrong in past but i still remember the day much before you came back... he tried to get us talk to you again" That piece of information only made her frown... her mother was talking about something she had no idea about... the most she could remember was Suraj standing like a statue while she was being titled and she had no grudges for it anymore but now she was being told he had had spoke something in her behalf?
Flashback
Sitting in their house Kasturi and Bhuvan watched their would be son in law who sat fidgetly "I am sorry i came to ask you i have to postpone this wedding for another 2 years because of my work commitment" Suraj was feeling nervous not because he was there to ask for something which maybe get him thrown out but because everytime he was in that house he'd reminsce about Chakor
He didn't expect them to be that much understanding as they agreed to him but then a question came from his lips... a question he himself don't know how it came from him "You talked to ... Chakor?" Their head jerked up at hearing that name... Suraj could see it was sensitive to them
"we didn't hear anything from her" Bhuvan had replied knowing well even if he and his wife never talked about their estranged daughter... they missed her... they still think about her whereabouts and her wellbeings... they still never believed she was wrong since she always did right
The pain from Bhuvan's voice was obvious and he was more regretful about it "You never tried to find her... if you want help i can help you" he kept on convincing himself in that moment he wasn't helping himself but them... if they said yes.. he would have had tried his best to search for Chakor and see if she was fine or needed help but they said no
"Suraj... this society is very cruel.. it will punish Imli for Chakor's mistake" Those words hit him directly in the chest
"Do you really think Chakor can make any mistake like that??? I don't think so... she is a self righteous girl maybe she was trying to save someone you should talk to her" he spoke the words which came right from his heart ignoring the scolding of his mind which said he might lose Imli if Chakor returned
"it's too late... we miss our daughter and we wish she and her child is well also she had found the father of her child making her happy" Kasturi was true in her words but least she knew they were housing half the culprit while punishing their daughter... he had left that day saying "Chakor is not a bad person if anyone is wrong...it's the guy who took advantage of her and left her in time of needs.. you two as parents should have stopped her too.. because you maybe know her more than the guy does" his eyes at that time contained a guilt they couldn't understand not until the day he had came to invite them for Avya's fifth birthday
Suraj had knelt infront of them apologizing for having been there and let Imli Charge accusation on Chakor and let their family break while one word from him saying he was the father and Chakor didn't sleep around could have salvaged whatever was left... they didn't punish him that day because they knew if he was wrong then so were they for having feared the society more than love their daughter
Present
"He had told us you were good and we should have kept our trust in you" Kasturi said as Aayansh reached Chakor's wedding chain pulling it with his small fist
She detached Ayu's hands from her chain brought it to her lips kissing it.. ignoring the tear which rolled down her cheeks
Suraj had defended her ... she knew she now loves him to no bounds but knowing this made her want him more and rendered her guiltier for having taunted him irresponsible... he was now anything but irresponsible
"i don't know if you changed him or not but he loves you a lot Chakor" her mother was saying what she already knew ...he maybe was pampering their daughter but he was neither lacking as a father nor as a husband
Her mother had left...Aayansh and Avya had gone to sleep after dinner and Suraj was still not home... she was worried and a crying mess... why was she soo messed up ...what if after this Suraj decided he didn't want her anymore?
She heard the door click as it opened revealing her husband ...running over she hugged him tight... Suraj knew she'd be guilty angry but crying?? Was she hurt?? That mere thought got him into panic mode as he broke the hug holding her by the shoulder
"What happened Chakor?? Why are you crying?? Are you hurt??" He asked as she shook her head wiping her eyes with the back of her hand
"I love you Suraj" instead of Scolding her for her words he was there worried for her... cupping his face in her hands..." i am sorry for hurting you... i wasn't thinking about my words i was angry when i got that call from Avya's school... she never behaved like that... since a few days i started going insecure after you pampering her" She explained her fears realizing it was something she should have done long back.. she didn't expect him to drop a loving kiss on her forehead
"I love you too Chakor i know you didn't mean it and i know what you wanted to say but i pamper Avya because i know you're going to be here to show her the right way... i lived in a family where my father was only concerned about his company while my mother was busy saying he was always right... i don't want to treat my family like that... i want you three to feel like you are my priority as for Avya she's my heartbeat whatever i do i can never regain that 4 years of her life that's why i am soo vulnerable when it comes to her... i can't see her tears but today i promise you something... i maybe never scold our daughter but whenever you'll show her the right way i will never interfere" she replied by wrapping her arms around him again
" i don't regret for what you are Suraj... i love you for what you are.. my spoil brat" she mumbled "I thought i lost you because of my words"
"Why will you ever lose me??? I am lost without you and my kids.. i went to calm my mind but this brat loves his Chakor whatever you say or do you can never lose me Chakor" She could hear honesty and love from his heartbeat and voice
"I want to make love to you" She said breaking the hug kissing his lips causing him to smile on her lips and arouse with desire at the glint in her eyes
"I am all yours" he said picking her up "Besides we need to work on another junior You" just as he said teasingly the calmness in their house were broken by the cries of Aayansh
"can we trade your son for a girl?" he asked feeling cold water thrown on his fully aroused state
"No i love our Son... he's a little you" She whispered kissing his nose before he placed her down as they walked to Aayansh's room... he picked his Son in his arms cooing to him... he was truly a little him
"Shhh Ayuu... be the sweet little boy of Mumma and papa... look today even mumma gave the nod" He said mischieviously as his son took it seriously and began crying louder causing Chakor to chuckle out loud
Rocking him slowly he watched his wife leave the room and returned with a plate of food for him.. she fed him while he rocked his baby boy back to sleep "You ate?" he asked placing Ayu back in his crib as he stopped crying and dozzed off to sleep slowly
"Who am i kidding... you will not eat without me" he scolded playfully causing her to smile sneakily "Chakor i don't want you falling ill"
"How is it you pamper Avya and Scold me?" She asked chewing on the food he fed to her after having snatched the spoon from her fingers
"Avya is my princess while you're my queen ... i have to do what a king has gotta do" He said bringing a spoon full back to her lips smiling at her.. he still couldn't believe she was crying thinking she'd lose him... he was crazy for her... he couldn't even stay angry at her for five minutes that was the reason he left earlier to give each other some space
That night she curled herself in Suraj's arm kissing him on his chest "thank you Suraj" She whispered slowly
"what for?" He asked frowning as he continued stroking her hairs
"For being you!!! for loving me ... for being the best father to our children and the best husband to me" her words were appreciating him for what he was.. he wasn't soo unaccomplished after all...he closed his eyes relaxing his senses... she didn't know how thankful he was for these words and yet she was there touching his soul with it ... she pulled herself up kissing his closed eyes "i don't want to fail us Chakor" he said
"You will not... we already make the perfect team.. I talked to Avya she told me her father already made her understand.. you were right scolding doesn't resolve all of the things... we are good parents Suraj" She nuzzled her nose on his collar bones as she spoke smiling as she realize her effect on him causing him to moan... She was never losing her husband least for a mistake which's been already rectified and now that she understood him better she would never even question his parenting skill... For HE already was perfect for HER
