I don't think it's easy to hate someone, sometimes people can hurt you deeply and you wouldn't hate them. Love can turn into hatred if the pain caused is very deep but it takes time for this to happen.

I'll probably do what they ask for to protect my family, but I think there are limits that I can't cross even for my family.

I don't know about giving in. I think at first I'll resist but then give in. When you're trapped and someone tries again and again, you'll eventually give in. How soon, I don't know.
