Hello friends,back with part II,today in this one i'll be discussing both Suraj and Chakor character analysis,from my point of view,as i view them...[I am not discussing childhood as i have watched it rarely,once in 2 or 3 weeks]so here we go...
SURAJ-
So he has been very well portrayed as the anti-hero,with all the grey shades,sometimes black shades,very dark,but still the character is liked,loved,adored by all,thanks to VJ's superb acting and his portrayal of the character so well,actually he was the sole reason that i started watching udaan,but slowly i just fell in love with both the character and actor as well...some few days back in the much loved episode when chakor pours out his heart to suraj,she said-'Suraj,tum badal gaye ho."To which he replied,"Nahi chakor hum badle nahi hain,hum aaj bhi wahi hain.".Well i don't know,how many of u all believe it,but i surely do,for me,YES,he has'nt changed,he is still the same.I have always believed it that,"AAJ NAHI BALKI HAMESHA SE HI,SURAJ MEIN BURAAIYAAN BOHOT THI,PAR WOH KABHI BURA NAHI THA".
I tried many times but still could'nt manage to hate him.Guys i always believe that a person's nature is inborn and it can never be altered,no matter how much u try doing so,yes habits and attitudes do change but,nup,u can't anyone's nature.Yes,his habits and attitudes have changed,his reacting to different kinda situations have changed,but deep inside he is still the same,the Suraj not known to anyone else,the Suraj brought in open to everyone by his wife.His he has been christened also so aptly,'Suraj-The Sun,,,,,symbol of light as well as fire'.Light for his loved ones,fire for his haters.Once,suraj was hailed as the man with all the negativities in the world,he was shrew,cunning,greedy,ill mannered,selfish...and more and more.But there were three qualities of Suraj which i have always admired-
For me he was always a GENTLEMAN-there are few instances when we got to see the gentleman in him,like i just loved the way on marriage day he went to have a private conversation with Tina,when his mother said to him that she is a good girl and he should make sure that he keeps her happy,perhaps he really wanted to make Tina believe that,though he is getting married to her for money but still he will try his best to make the marriage work.I saw the gentleman in him,when he went with chocolates to wish imli on her birthday after he realised that he has forgotten it.Isaw the gentleman in him when on the first day of marriage,Chakor said him to leave the room and he obliged[though angrily].
For me he was always the FAMILYMAN.he always appeared to just love himself and not care of the world,but he was the onlyone who dreams of a happy family for himself,the day his father left his mother for Ranjana,the hatred was planted in the child's mind.He hated chakor coz he wished for his father;s attention and love.He was very happy when Ragini returned.The way he just cared for his child when imli was expecting shows that he will turn out to be a very good father in future.In short,he may not appear to be but relations have always mattered for him.
For me he always RESPECTED WOMEN.Ok he always shamelessly flirted with chakor and tina as well,but did he ever misbehaved with them in any manner,the answer is NO.
I just love the character for the way he was,for the way he is,He is not fake.A person who lives life on his own terms,one more thing that i just love about him that 'ONE CAN NEVER MANIPULATE HIM,YOU JUST CANNOT FORCE HIM,HE WILL DO ANYTHING ONLY IF HE WANTS TO'.Example-the jagraata night,the alcohol challenge,he had the bottle in his hands at the last moment,but still he did;nt drink,that was what everyone trying to do,not to make him drink,but his dialogue-"HAMAARE HAATH MEIN BOTTLE HAIN,PAR PHIR BHI HUM NAHI PIYENGE,ISLIYE NAHI KI TUM SHART JEETI HO,HUM NAHI PIYENGE ToH APNI MARZI SE".đ[Suraj Rajvanshi,signature attitude].
There is one only thing that i dont want him to be,he is very UNEXPRESSIVE,chakor is the only person whom he has ever said something about his sentiments,that too either in drunken state or in critical situations unintentionally,very few times.He has his own set of emotions which he does'nt expresses,He has a heart who wants to be loved.I was literally crying the day of imvaan' reception when he in his drunken state was harassing a couple and pouring out his emotions-"HUM BHI CHAHTE THE,AISE BANNA JISSE SAB PYAR KARE,SAB PASAND KARE'.
The guys very badly needed someone who could understand him the way he wants to be,thankfully the search is over.
CHAKOR-
Sorry guys not analysing much about her coz she is the protagonist our very own 'JAGAT MAATA',her character just does'nt needs much justification,we all like as well as love her.But she is not restricted there only,after all she is a bird,her dreams,her ambitions,her emotions knows no boundaries.The day when in her drunken state she was pouring her heart out to suraj,i was just reminded of the scene from srk-anushka starrer 'Rab ne bana di jodi',the scec when suri asks her,'Taaniji,ek ladki ka dil aakhir chaata kya hai?'.To which she very emotionally replies,'Ek ladki ka dil.bas itna chaahta hai ki koi use itna pyar kare,jitna kabhi kisi ne kisi aur se nahi kiya hoga!'Oh how senti,really a girl's demand is just that much,and our chakor also has the same needs.She also wants to be loved like that.Our Chakor has all the virtues of the world but somehow for me she is an 'EMOTIONAL FOOL',wait lemme explain,she is too clever and intelligent as well,check,but one can easily manipulate her when it comes to sentiments.Vivaan said to her that whatever bond they share,its not friendship,its love ans she was convinced and went on in the relationship.I mean just why does she listens to anybody else,why just cant she connect to her inner soul and realise that what does actually her heart is seeking.What actually she wants...chakor's this attitude reminds me a line from the 'dhunki' song,'HAI JAHAAN KI TUJHKO KHABAR,KHUD SE HAI PAR TU BEKHABAR'.
but i just love the fact that when it comes to suraj we always get to see her unexposed side, i just want her to listen his own heart,do her own mind...
So this are our ISHAQZAADE,two strong headed personalities,with various complex and conflicting emotions on both sides,just perfectly complimenting each other hand in hand.Remember the episode,just someday after marriage,when the duo were doing the,'angoothi dhoondo' ritual,the two just had their hands on the ring at the same instant signalling,'JODI BILKUL TAKKAR KI HAI'đđ
But they are also the 'dard ke saathi'.Remember the day when chakor had realised that vivaan no longer loves her,she was sitting in the backyard burning her sketch made by him,suraj came and sat beside her and said,"KABHI NAH SOCHA THA KI DONO DUSHMANO KI KISMAT EK HI MOD PAR AAYEGI"
And one episode before when she was resting her head on his shoulders,the few sec scene was PURE BLISS,the song was playing in my mind=
"TUM BHI TANHA THE,HUM BHI TANHAA THE,
MIL KE RONE LAGE'
EK JAISE THE DONO KE GHAM,
DAWAA HONE LAGE".
So guys how did u liked part II,please do make me know...any type of contradictions are welcome...đ
