then there is that scene where they leave TJ in a barn and comes back to mansion.
he is restless, guilty, agitated and when it starts raining he just wants to go and get his mom.
and she wants to stop him for if he goes to his mom now; her mom won't help the other woman. he must stay back.

she tries 'moch aagayi' trick on him.
and he lifts her up, puts her gently on the bed and goes 'tumhare moch ka timing bhi kamaal hai' and sprays pain relief sprays on her 'sprained' foot.
and then tries to leave again.

and she tries... 'i am fainting' stunt on him.
and he gets worried about her.

in this scene there is a split second scene when he gently places his palm over her head. the way we do to our loved ones.
very gentle worrying caress.

i found that priceless.

then ofcourse he sees through her and deliberately twists her foot making her jump up from her 'fainted' stage.
and he sarcastically says.. arey tumhari aakhen khul gayi.

this guy and his sarcasm.. my favourite combo. geee!

and then our guy gets his girl her first gift from his side.
guess what!

bhaaji tarkaari.
lauki, meethi... of the entire village stock.

to thank her for saving his life.

flowers and all. well that's what normal people gift each other.
we are talking about THE Suraj Rajvanshi here.

and her expressions and dialogues.
and him looking and feeling pretty proud of his thoughtful gesture.
well our guy actually noticed what the girl really liked when they went out to dining last time. but then again he always notices everything about her.

and then she lets the cat out of the bag unwittingly. that she is the one who orchestrated the attack on his life at the first place.
and he gets totally peeved at that.
and starts chucking the vegetables around for she is unworthy of his gift now.

and then he grabs the back of her head and she grabs the collar of his jacket and both continue their fight..
and i almost visualized them pulling each others hair and punching and kicking each other the way little kids do.. to the one they have crush upon.

and then Ranjana calls the documentary film maker and our man huffs out of the house because well! he believes in straight shooting. not dramas and all.
then comes back maybe because he doesn't want to run away from battle field or maybe... he doesn't want Chakor to be the lone ranger in this war. he wants fight by her side.

and then they bicker about his jacket and her suit/tie that she selected for him.

though he wears the entire gear she selected for him albeit grudgingly he stills wants to hold on to his individuality by thumbing his nose at her tie selection and choosing his own one.

She walks in and rips it right off his throat with a good 'chup' on his way. and he is taken aback.
and then he lets her make him wear her choice of the tie.

and just keeps looking at her all the while.
gahh.. the way he looks at her.

and that soothing background music.
and the way he looks at her.

the entire beauty and subtle sweetness and magic of the scene.
and the way he looks at her.

ok i am gonna use this 'the way he looks at her' phrase a lot from now on.
because i just LOVE...
the way he looks at her.

aapne pyar ki shuruwat kaise ki?

naariyal phod ke😆.
the guy and his dry sarcasm. bring that back please. and keep it on.

the entire documentary filming (till ranjana's helpful inputs) was quite a lovely scene.
the hand holding.
tight warning grip on the palm when other one erred.
the fibbing.
dry wry smiles and expressions.

and then he speaks.
what was the first moment that he fell for her.
and he describes the karva chaut moment so just SO damn beautifully.
he truly understands what she holds closest to her heart most... her freedom.
and he will never deny her that.
won't change or chain her ever.
and states the fact that beneath all the super woman aura of her she is a little sparrow that could get hurt. and he wouldn't want that. ever.

then later with easy bantering camaraderie he tells her that actually at that moment his original thoughts were.. that her nose is tedha, her teeth is crooked.
and she almost believes him for a moment.
and then they start laughing.

and then both goes to have a tee-te-tete with yogesh bhai.
he drives distractedly and she lectures him and then he sings: kahi ise pya hua toh nahi.. in his usual lafanga style to rile her up.😆.

and they reach yogesh bhai's area where she goes into her 'jagatmata' mode and starts fighting with the goons to protect a shopkeeper.
rough riding over Suraj's warning of prudence.

he declares with exasperation that he won't step in to help her here.
but he does when the time comes. with style.
and thrashes the goons and protects his girl. and when the goons tuck their tails between their legs and bolt out she still wants to chase them and our guy says..
oye jagatmata. let them go.

so the man won't mind when his girl goes on super girl mode. he will let her be. but whenever she might need him he will don his own cape and join the mission.
sounds perfect to me.

and when she asks why he saved her he nonchalantly declares that to save his own life for she is his shield that he will be using to protect himself from yogesh bhai.
she wonders: the great Suraj Rajvanshi needs a girl to protect him?

and he declares with his own trademark of adorable lafanganess and kick ass kameenapanti..
girl? she is no girl. she is devi. jagatmata.

so nopes.. our man has absolutely no qualms in using her jagatmata skills to save his own butt.
refreshing eh!😆.
what a unique piece!

and they get kidnapped by yogesh bhai and were taken to his den.

the bhai is in all dulha regalia full-on eager and enthu to finally get married to the girl of his dreams. imli. and he thinks Chakor is imli and so with happy enthusiasm drags her near havan kund and is taking pheras. well the man has to go on to his honeymoon too.
Suraj desperately tries to warn the other man about the mix up. and finally does manage to let the groom know that the bride isn't who he thinks he is.

needless to say yogi bear ain't pleased. he still decides to go ahead and get married to the girl. looks like marriage was his prime mission in life.

Suraj struggles against the men holding him down while yogi goes on to complete the pheras with the reluctant bride. asking the desperately struggling Suraj: dude! is she your girlfriend? why so serious!
and then the alpha man in our man takes over. he breaks free from the thugs grabbing onto him and rushes to rescue his girl.

biwi hai humhari!

and i watched this scene on loop. over and over again.
and then one more time.
and once more.

the rage and fire in his eyes.
that storm in his voice.
wrath in his entire being.

then a launches a punch on Yogesh bhai for daring to even think about getting married to Suraj's Chakor.
the man is already pissed with you thanks to your own dealings; you already made your point that the girl is your wife.. there really was no need for that punch. stupid move if you think about it with regards to safety and prudence.

but all Suraj saw at that moment was ... RED.
NOT my wife Mr. don't you DARE.

all for his Chakor.. well his biwi.

i absolutely loved entire sequence in Yogesh bhai's den.

Suraj and chakor wheedling to get out of there alive. reminding yogi of the promise to his sister to not do any wrong things today.
yogi says: alright then.
our Sukor looks relieved and then he says.. fine! i'll kill you tomorrow.
the 'hain' expressions on Sukor's face. especially Suraj.
then Suraj smartly using his shield. aka. celebrity runner Chakor. see this is my wife. you can't possibly kill the husband of the celebrity. media loves her and all.
smart chap eh.

and then yogi starts laughing supremely amused. and lets Chakor in a secret.
that Suraj always hated her since childhood and even made plans to kill her.

to think of it! it is not exactly a secret. that Suraj hates chakor. well she hated him too. but she reeled at the intensity of his hatred. he actually wanted her dead! that way too intense and terrible hatred for her.

and Suraj looked so damn uncomfortable and guilty at that revelation. old Suraj would shrugged lightly and admitted to the guilt with no qualms. would have laid it thick too.

but not this one. for he hated to see her thinking that he hates her to that extent. he doesn't. and he wants he to know that.

why? maybe he could answer. but it was important to him to let her know that.. no Suraj doesn't hate Chakor.
Definitely not the way she is thinking.
it matters to him what she thinks of him. and her thinking that he hates her so much... he really hated that thought.

and i loved his expressions and body language there.
and feelings.

and then came the 'kissing' condition by Yogesh bhai.

and our dorks went kya???

the awkwardness.
the discomfort.
and then the discussion.

Chakor: don't you dare tell anyone that we kissed.
Suraj: are you nuts! i care for my izzat. noways i am going to tell anyone that i kissed you.
Chakor (peeved and huffs): fine! i am going then.
Suraj (pacifying): kissing you is my soubhagya. our names will be written in ithihaas.
Chakor (awkward): ithihaas. badi ummeeden hai tumhe apne aap se.
and he says 'shush'.

and tries to get on with the challenge. and ends up poking her in the eye. and she knocks his guts. both at the same time.

then she suggests that maybe they should just close their eyes and get over with it. (you would think that they are made to perform autopsy on a week old dead body rather than kiss each other the way they were going on about it).

he closes his eyes. so does she. he gently cups her face and tries to errr 'get on with it'.
and then police siren plays the proverbial spoil sport.
khair koi nahi! there is always a next time.

but ...
there was a time when Suraj threw 'kiss or shoot' challenge at her. and went on lecherously to suggest the 'flavour' of lipstick she should try coz she is going to lose. he can take her for shopping that.

and now here is the guy.
adorably awkward.
clearly out of his element.
and lost little cub... and he had to just kiss the girl.

how the mighty has fallen!
who would have thunk it!

and then came that 'itni nafrat?' sequence.
she just won't let go of that issue. how could you hate me so damn much?

and he finally has enough. he grabs the back of her head and spills his heart out. in a heart searing intense almost passionate pleading way.
he doesn't hate her that much. yes he did. because he; as a little boy; just wanted his father back in life; the same father who was more obsessed with hating the girl than loving his own child.

but Chakor kept glaring at him refusing to give away an inch.
she says she doesn't believe him and he grabs her face and tries explaining again and then goes... Fine! believe what you want' getting angry himself.

and i was left wondering for a long time: shouldn't she be making gooey, sympathetic eyes on him than those glares.
finally the realization dawned.
THAT is quintessential chakor for you. girl with issues, hang ups, walls and barriers. a day will come she will be erecting more walls around her (atleast i am hoping that day will come)
how can he love me?
he loved someone else?
this and that?
and these and those?

and that time... i want the same intense passionate Suraj that i saw in this beautiful scene. the one who will try to chip at all those walls and if he can't .. then he will go through those walls and break them down. but will not give up on her.

the aggression. intensity, passion.
bring it on. take you own time; i don't mind. but bring it on someday.
