Unres!
Posts like these make me wish IF had a "love" button as well. Cannot tell you how many times I logged in while you were updating this, solely to peek in, hoping there was more!
Nimmi, I've told you before and I'll say it again, all these scenes are so much more beautiful in your words, so are the characters and their relationship. Patthar se heera bana diya aapne, or whatever the phrase is (my Hindi sssucks, big time!).
I don't really have anything specific in mind, so I may go off on a rant again 😆 Apologies! And you didn't have to apologise for not starting from the beginning because this entire post is just SO awesome, the crap that went down in the beginning would've ruined it.
I think the first scene that comes to mind was when Suraj saved her from the fire, despite the fact that she was trying to sabotage his grand plan. I think that's the first glimpse of humanity we saw in a character who up till that point was entirely black.
And then, the brief scene in which Chakor tells him his compassion at the hospital didn't come as a surprise, because she knows he's capable of being a good person and he just stares at her, probably because that was the first time anyone ever told him that. I think that's the first time it felt like this guy actually had some emotional depth.
When Chakor exercises on an empty stomach deliberately, again to thwart his plan, for a brief moment he actually buys it ('cos VJ makes it pretty clear when Suraj is putting on an act) and displays so much concern for her.
The confession in the rain and the convo over the ultrasound, although Imli and baby centric, were so beautifully penned. The rain one is still my favorite because for me that was like pulling off the band-aid. They'd been giving us so many weird ImRaj scenes till then and after this, it was finally out in the open.
I just loved the bit when he holds her hand and asks her whether she doesn't feel miserable seeing ImVaan together like he does. Until this scene all they did was fight, and not the cute bickering we've seen of late, but the ugly fights, spewing actual hatred. This entire scene could've been about ImRaj, but the writers made it all about SuKor- he was somehow comfortable enough with her to let his guard down and say out loud what he hadn't even admitted to himself.
And of course, Chakor's breakdown in the rain perfectly mirrored this one. Neither of them cared specifically about the other in either scene. They both just wanted Imli to be happy (🤢) but ultimately ended up being each other's shoulder to cry on.
And this of course, reminds me of the only other time Chakor let her guard down, albeit due to the alcohol. From what little I know, Indian TV FLs are supposed to be a paragon of virtue and I think it's brilliant they've shown that Chakor does experience even these so called "negative" emotions. During this conversation, you realise that Suraj has now become "her person" (Grey's Anatomy lingo, I'm afraid 😆) and maybe some day she'll admit it while in her senses. I could go on and on about this scene, but some other time!
My mind's randomly moved on to another little scene when Suraj tells her she's free to leave and they both admit they never hated each other as much as they pretended to.
The three marriage related festivals- teej, karva chauth and vivaah panchmi- the first an absolute nightmare, the second- the beginning of their easy banter (and friendship) and supposedly his love for her and the latter of course gave us such beautiful moments, dialogues, the dori scene! (had to mentioned separately 😆) and probably made him a little more aware of his feelings.
Was the lauki-methi the first gift though? For me, it's the jersey. He asked the investors to take a hike and quietly went and bought the one with her 501 on it and presented it to her so casually. She too refused to acknowledge the change in their relationship and quipped about him being as superstitious as her.
Of late, the scene in the last ep- him walking quietly behind her, giving her space, on the verge of comforting her, but withdrawing his hand and quietly slinking off when he sees she's safe and then her reciprocating the concern while he's unaware...again mirroring each other. Just loved this one!
That's all for now 😆 Hugs if you made it through this and even if you didn't 🤗
