DB so nice to see you post here. Welcome!

Well I am not a fan of Bella Swan either😆 She's inconsiderate, whiny, selfish, childish, bratty, and she grates my nerves.😃

I hate how she only acknowledges her friends whenever Edward's not around and then completely ditches and snubs them later.😕 I think she treats her friends horribly. I've always felt that if Edward weren't so gorgeous, she'd mistreat him as well and wouldn't give him the time of day. It seems like her love is shallow and based on looks, when that's so hypocritical.

She doesn't listen to Edward, and acts like a bratty child when she wants her way. It's not cute. He knows what's best, and her rebelling only makes things more difficult and dangerous for the Cullens. I hate how demanding she is too, when he won't agree to turn her into a vampire. She's actually pretty close-minded.

She's a very weak character who's too dependent on Edward. Doesnt have her own personality and lacks backbone.👎🏼

And I think Stephenie Meyer wanted to make sure Bella wasn't to perfect so people could identify with her...but I think she took it too far in the other direction. Bella's too plain, too uncoordinated, too uninteresting, and too ordinary. We all have at least one good trait that sets us apart. She doesn't.

I hate bella. I think she is a pathetic, weak moron who falls apart after a boyfriend leaves her. what happend to women power?? us women are so weak that we always need a man to protect us? No women should cry like that after her boyfriend leaves her. how long did bella and edward know eachother?? not long enough to fall madly in love.. there is so many other things i like to mention but that would be like typing an essay, i don't have the time or energy to do that.

Lol, agree with you!😆👏 I dislike Bella strongly, I don't get how some people can like her, sorry.

I think because the whole series is practically written in Bella's point of view, we don't really have any other choice other than to LIKE HER.

Sorry, can't agree with you, esp with this line. What do you mean, we have no reason but to like her?😕 I disliked he throughout the entire series...strongly. I'm actually happy that Jacob did not end up with her, because Bella did not deserve him at all.

I honestly think that Stephenie paid too much attention to less likeable characters than to others.... for example, I would have loved to read more about Carlisle... the vampire history was quite fascinating but that part was too rushed.... it was as if the author herself didn't want to write about it :S And if we're talking about Bella then I completely agree with Ambrosia.... Stephenie modelled Bella to be completely imperfect and Edward is supposed to be too good to be true...

I'm going to have to disagree. I really don't feel so much for BElla, as she hurts alot of people, especially Jacob and Charlie, yes Charlie. She is such a weak female, who makes the females look, well, pathetic just cuz her boyfriend LEft!!!???I just hate how she hurts Jaacob. I'm not talking about how she kisses him and then edward and all that....i just hate how she kept leading him on. That was totally wrong, cuz well JAke thatought he had a chance,.....but noooo. And CHARLIE!!! Omg, i feel so bad for charlie being left in the dark bout her own daughters BF!!!
Idk..i just dont like nor dislike bella.....@.@

If i were bella, i don't think i would be able to tell my father that I married a vampire. it will be easier to say "i married a drug dealer, then saying your involved with the supernatural. see it from a another light, if a father like charlie knew somthing wasn't right with your son in law and somthing is mysterious about your daughters life then won't you want to investigate??? try to find out whats going on, after all its your daughter that ur worried about. what kind of father knows somthing isn't right but doesn't care enough to do somthing about it?
or atleast try to. seems like smeyer didn't know to do with the situation and couldn't work through the issue so she just ignored it and put an illogical explanation.

Agree with you Chhilt! I too was very interested in Carlisle's history. The series could have been really exciting if we learned more about Carlisle.

DB you haven't been on the forum long enough to know there are LOADS of Bella haters here😆 I hate her for the very reason you stated and she can never be redeemed in my eyes. Hers and Edward's are the only characters I hate from the series😆 The way she was in NM was completely her own choice. No one forced her to be a zombie😛

OMG AGREEED. Exactlyyyy.

There are SO MANY reasons i hateeeee Bella. For one, she makes us women look week. I'm sorry she did not even know him that well. WHICH BRINGS ME BACK TO THE WHOLE THING ABOUT, WHAT THEY HAD WASN'T LOVE. She thought he was pretty and he liked the smell of her blood. When and where did love come between that? And she was freaking depressed when he left. She kept reminding himself she wasn't good enough for him, and blamed herself for not being good enough. AT THE END OF THE DAY YOU WANNA BANG YOUR HEAD AGAINST THE WALL. If i were in her shoes. I'd leave the beautiful Edward to himself and tell myself that he was just an arrogant beautiful Vampire. Never would i make my self feel lower than him.

And like pomegranate said above, i don't have enough energy or time to write and essay on this topic.
