We are fist introduced to Kamal when Pakhi stealthily follows Nandini and comes upon her meeting Kamal furtively in a wooded area. Pakhi caught Nandini in the act of handing over an envelope to Kamal.
Nandini answers all of Pakhi's questions, including Kamal's. Nandini informs Pakhi that they are lovers and that the envelope contains love letters written by Kamal to her and that she makes excuses to leave the home and meet Kamal. Kamal never took the initiative and replied to Pakhi. He just went along and agreed to whatever Nandini had to say.
The second time. Veer brings Kamal over to Rathore Mansion and introduces him as a business man. Again, Kamal does not answer any questions - it is Nandini who claims he is an orphan and has no relatives. And, it is Veer (at Pakhi and Rhea's instigation) who announces they are lovers and should get married. Pakhi is the one who forces everyone one to agree that the engagement be held the same day.
Charu, Jiji, Nandini, and Kamal are clearly uneasy at the turn of events. They are reluctant to say anything. Jiji hesitantly agrees to the wedding and hurried engagement. Charu wants to know more about Kamal. Veer squashes Charu's suggestion while Pakhi gives it token recognition by asking Kamal his home address.
The third scene involving Kamal, is when Pakhi interrupts Jiji who is in the process of handing Kamal a bundle of rupee notes. Even then Kamal did not say anything. He took Jiji's cue and went along with what ever was said.
In the pre-cap we see that Kamal does not answer Veer's phone call (in fact his phone is off the hook).
So, who is Kamal?
I doubt that he is Nandini's lover. She did not seem happy about her engagement. She was more happy at getting Jiji riled up against Kuhu.
I think both Charu and Jiji have interacted with him in some manner earlier. They both know that he is not Nandini's lover but were reluctant to have a scene with Veer.
Kamal, has pretty much followed Nandini's (and to very small extent Jiji's) lead. It would be a twist of irony if he is the one that Nandini has hired to do away with Veer.
Is Pakhi going to make a fool of herself when all is revealed?
Your guess is as good as mine. I certainly hope so - because Pakhi is unnecessarily interfering in the affairs of Veer's family. She clearly does not like them. She does not respect them. So why interfere in their affairs?
How will Veer react when the truth comes out?
Again, your guess is as good as mine. He may get upset with Pakhi - particularly because she setting the wrong example (and training) for Rhea. As long as Pakhi is misbehaving it is one story - when Pakhi gets Rhea to behave inappropriately it is another.
