This show was supposed to be finite and instead of that they started stretching the plot. The whole double role was pointless and clearly the producers couldn't think of anything new (even though there were a million interesting possibilities). I think Iqbal made the right decision.

Sorry but the current track is super lame n I'm very glad that Iqbal is not a part of it... it is so easy for the producer to blame the actor he could've instead worked on a good script... like he himself spoke about core subject so would like to mention that the story lost its "CORE SUBJECT" with Anshuman's accident... I mean it doesn't make sense to me that the person for whom Paakhi waited for 18 yrs has died... The name of the showis Tumhaari Paakhi n after taking away Tum (read Iqbal) what remains is haari Paakhi... The PH n creatives have completely lost the plot... it was a love story not "Paakhi ki Aatmakatha"... I strongly believe that such good stories which have definite endings shouldn't be dragged... unwanted twists aren't welcomed and as far as Iqbal is concerned he is an actor who likes to do challenging roles... If he isn't enjoying what he is doing how will the viewers like it... As he has said it before "If u promise me a Mercedes but give me a Maruti instead, I would not drive it" I completely agree to him n support his decision!!!! Respect him for being so true towards his work... wish Tumhaari Paakhi had ended on a good note... Nothing against Shraddha she is a superb actress n we all know it... Iqbal had made gr8 friends and he must be surely missing his onscreen family... All I can say good luck to Iqbal for his future projects n good luck to team Paakhi hope the shw does well... for me it ended with Iqbal quitting it!

Look, I completely agree with you, the guy has earned my respect as well. He has done an outstanding job, and will continue to do so in the future shows he chooses to join. But I, unlike most people, look at the whole picture.

If I remember, he himself had accepted this commitment of the one year extension and and he said in the interview how the story could be stretched. As much as you have to be impressed by the guy and how much he respects and treats everyone, he's known for not committing. He's known for quitting shows. This aint the first time, or the second time, or third if I am correct. TP seems just another show he's left in middle. The guys can act, the guy is good, but he fails to commit. I'm sorry to say, but I somewhat saw this coming.

If actors began to do the storytelling, we would haven't had the TP we have had. You are suppose to let the CVs do the storytelling, that's what they are their for, that's what their job is. Blaming the CVs is easy, but you have to be in their footsteps. They were just trying to get out the story of a woman's willpower and strength. That's what the core subject has been, sorry. The core subject has been how a woman, Pakhi, has managed to keep the strength to wait and stick to her values and pass every challenge placed in front of her.

I wish him the best for his future, I hope he manages to still win the audiences over, and hopefully he won't quit another show.

I think that was a mistake, but if you look at the reasoning of possible double role, it was to retain Iqbal in the story while placing another painful challenge in front of Pakhi's eyes.. death of her husband. It's brilliant, how Pakhi would've managed to move on in her life without Anshuman. The strength in her character has what made the show get to where it has, her strength to pass every challenge placed in front of her by Anshuman. I personally found Anshuman's death quite interesting. Who saw that coming?

Brilliant stories sometimes end in tragedies, but you have to let the CVs do the storytelling. Iqbal himself was all for stretching and extension to the show according to the interviews. But whatever his decision is, you have to respect it. Oh well, show still goes on.

how can you justify the CVs..

the essence of the story is Anshuman-Paakhi the story is about this woman who waits for 18 years for this man she has loved, you expect her to move on with another man..why did iqbal quit let me explain this its simple he was sidelined, the CVs killed anshuman completely we would never accept aryaman and pakhi as he was responsble for anshuman's death and this was made quite clear on all social media websites to the producers and life ok and what do they do sideline Iqbal bring in a new love interest for pakhi, Iqbal made the right decision, I have seen you on twitter replying to iqbal etc..and from his tweets we can see quit clearly his decision to quit tumhari pakhi was forced by the changes of his story track...As per previous tc article aryaman was turning negative or a character that Iqbal would not want do?

do u seriously think Iqbal took this decision easily? I would say producer should take the responsibility for ruining the story rather then blaming iqbal..in the race to get TRPS not only the ruined the essence of the book and the story of dhola maru...they forced iqbal to quit knowing he cannot do much!!

as for your comment when aryaman was introduced clearly iqbal did not have an issue as he said aryaman and anshuman iqbal will be in the show (the writers changed their mind as they could see fans not accepting aryaman and pakhi and decided to introduce veer and send aryaman to jail and turn him negative (iqbal indicates that on the tc article)

Iqbal knew everyone will point fingers that ooh he has quit again like you have but he was forced on this decision..

I have nothing against pakhi wish them all the best and you too...

and yes for your FYI the producer contradicts what is written here https://pbs.twimg.com/media/BuquhKVCYAEJ52M.jpg he is changing a story to regular story..

Iqbal as an actor has to care about his track...thats what actors do and in all honesty I respect atleast he respected the core story which is the BOOOK that the producer is holding and advertising the show...the book here is the pic to refresh ur memory http://media.apunkachoice.com/image/pi/dr/extrabig/images-177757.jpg

btw this is your whole picture..please lets not be blind!!

if i was in place of Iqbal even i would have taken the same decision... a gr8 actor always likes to do challenging roles and i see no good reason why Iqbal should stick to a show which has lost it's core subject... he took up the challenge of playing a double where one is suave while other is completely rustic and he was doing an amazing job as both... but suddenly one is killed while other is sent to jail... it is very much evident that the CV's only want to focus on Paakhi... they want to show that Paakhi is a so called Superwoman who can do everything... an actor is the face of the show not the CV's... if a scene is written badly no one will say that the writer did a bad job they would jus blame the actor... so according to me the actor has every right to walk out if the story isnt allowing him to grow... Iqbal is wise enough to take decisions for the betterment of his career... even in the past, he has quit the shows only after it lost the plot... why should he continue to act if the makers forget the basic concept and bring in stupid twists... and in case of Tumhari Paakhi only and only the CV's and Producers are to be blamed as the story was based on a novel but now it is jus "A REGULAR DAILY SOAP" that's what the producer himself accepted... Iqbal will keep his commitment but for that the producers, channel and cv's too need to keep their word... a lovestory wherein two ppl are involved cannot be turned into a woman's autobiography overnight!!!

if u are liking the current story track then no one is stopping u... u can enjoy watching but it would be better if u stop judging Iqbal... if he wasnt committed enough then he would have quit the show as soon as it completed 100 episodes... coz that's what the producers had told him... but he didn't do that... and i suggest u watch some Pakistani shows and see how a beautiful novel is turned into a beautiful drama series which doesn't even exceed 30 episodes but makes it mark on everyone's heart...

He's a good actor, and played Anshuman quite well, was liking Aaryaman's character too. Just a shame that he quits shows. I still see the story has a lot of potential, Shraddha is quite brilliant in Pakhi's role. I am enjoying this independent Pakhi.

exactly rishab!
The statement given by production house is quite a very strong one which actually 'made' us think that there is no fault from creatives while Iqbal wanted to leave on his own considering only his role. Now that is making me believe about whatever is said about him regarding leaving most of his shows in the middle.

anyway, Tumhari Paakhi is still a strong content delivering show and I will watch it because of its story.
