Jigs > Hi Chhavi, you seem to have done a lot of things before starting to act in TV serial. How did you manage to get into so many things, I mean how did you get a chance, considering you lived in Delhi and not Mumbai? Did you have a lot of contacts?
Chhavi Hussein > No, I didn't have any contacts. Delhi also has a lot of things happening, like modelling, commercials and anchoring. Although, they don't happen on very large scales like in Mumbai. I used to always go for auditions and get selected.
Big boss > Hi Chhavi, do you plan to enter films and have there been any offers?
Chhavi Hussein > There have been many offers for films. But I don't plan to enter films currently because the kinds of films being made are not to my liking.
Lili > What's your take on love and marriage? Do you believe in love at first sight? How many times have you been in love and how was the feeling?
Chhavi Hussein > I totally believe that one should only get married if one is in love. No, I don't believe in love at first sight. I have been in love only once - I still am - and the feeling is totally wonderful. A coordinator sent my pictures to LA and they got short-listed. Then the Indian side of the producers met me and finalised the selection.
Megha > How was the experience of working in Bon Jovi's music video? How did you get into it? Did you meet Bon Jovi? Did he send across his compliments to you after watching (you in) the video?
Chhavi Hussein > I think the crew for the video was one of the most professional set I have worked with. Unfortunately, I didn't get to meet Bon Jovi but I did get a lot of compliments from the crew.
Baiju > What do you think of the Indian woman's submissive character being shown in some of the TV serials presently? What do you like about " Disha" in Tumhari Disha that you are playing? Do you think she is submissive?
Chhavi Hussein > Modern women are definitely not submissive but I guess the definition of an ideal woman is still what it used to be (that is the figure who looks after everybody, everything, takes a lot of pain etc). So that's why people like to watch these characters on TV. Disha that she is not submissive and that's what I like about her. She is a very strong willed person, who will never go against her conscience. Yet, she is gentle as well.
Joru > Who are you married to? How did you meet him?
Chhavi Hussein > I am married to Mohit Hussein. He was directing me for a telefilm ( Yes or No ) where we met. He is a director and is presently directing the serial, Kareena Kareena .
Kiran > Very strange name. What is the reason behind it?
Chhavi Hussein > Chhavi is not a strange name. I think it's an unusual name. It means image.
Lili > You got married so early? Do you think it will hamper your career growth in the long run?
Chhavi Hussein > I don't think being married or single matters in the TV industry.

Prem > What are your next plans?
Chhavi Hussein > I have never planned anything in my life and I still don't do it.

Chhavi Hussein > I don't think I am an item number material in the first place. I have not been approached, and even if I am offered such a role, I don't think I can expose, as much it is required for an item number.

Chhavi Hussein > It just came my way. It's not like I decided that I am going to be an actress. In fact I always wanted to be a playback singer. I wanted to do something with my life and acting seemed easier than becoming a playback singer. I went through auditions to get in to the line of acting.

Chhavi Hussein > It's Chhavi Mittal and after marriage it's Chhavi Hussein.
