Malhar just kept quiet. Better to keep his mouth shut, and get over with it. Anyway, he only had to listen to Kalyani's blabbering till Maanchand agrees to give up the map of royal palace. Maanchand must've already noticed Kalyani's absence, and must have made his servants search for her. He wished Maanchand didn't overlook the letter he left in Kalyani's room. A father's love for his daughter was what he was counting on to reach their goal. Maanchand would give the map, thinking this Malhar tried to lift his mood, however shrewd and opportunistic Maanchand may be, at least he'll do this much for his daughter. Apne desh ka sagaa to kabhi hua nahi Maanchand, Malhar was praying that ki at least paise ke laalach ne uske andar ke pita ko bhi na maar dala ho.

Kalyani bit Malhar's hand with all her might and kicking with her knee at the bottom of his chin, she snatched the dagger from him. And then she slashed his throat with it. A little blood dripped out of Malhar's lip due to Kalyani kicking on his chin but surprisingly, no blood oozed outvof his throat..

"Khilona hi thi ye kataar," Malhar said with a smirk, "If it were real, do you think I would've let you snatch it so easily."

Then producing the real dagger from his knee, Malhar traced Kalyani's lips with his dagger and just where blood was dripping on his face, he cut Kalyani's skin there just a bit and said darkly, "And from now on, each drop of blood I'll lose because of you, I'll make sure you experience twice the pain due to it."

"W...why are you doing it?" Kalyani was really afraid now, and taking out all her jewels she said, "Take these. And I'll ask Pitaji to give you more. You're doing all this for money, right? I'll give you that much money you and your gang couldn't even dream of."

Malhar took all her jewels and after inspecting them for a while, he threw them all into the river.

"Are you mad?" Kalyani shouted.

"Yes, everyone like me will be mad in you and your father's eyes who think everything can be bought and sold, be it someone's honesty, life, honour and even their own country. How could you think I could even want the jewels your father bought for you from the money he got by acting a slave to that Darius."

"Pitaji earns his living due to his hard work and talent," Kalyani growled, "He's not a criminal like you who use a girl to just make money and rob people."

"When did I use you?" Malhar was incredulous, "Before today, I haven't even touched you. And even today, I kissed you on the forehead because I got carried away after seeing you caring for Moksh."

"Don't take the name of Moksh from your dirty tongue, Malhar," Kalyani warned, "Oh! Now I understand why you hate children. Because God will never give an animal like you the joy of being a parent. You don't even have a heart, and I'm sure you must have killed your own child when he was born because a monster like you can't bear the innocence of a child."

Malhar lifted Kalyani and pushed her into the raging river. Kalyani was just about to go into the bottom of the river but Malhar held her hand.

"Pull me up," Kalyani said with her teeth chattering, "The water is too cold."

"Just give the water one of your sermons about honesty, hardwork and parenthood," Malhar said drawling, "I'm sure it's temperature will also rise on hearing how great you and your father was."

Kalyani kept on holding Malhar's hands for some minutes and then looking around her, when she found there was only expanse of water, she said, "Pull me up, please! I'll freeze to death. I promise I'll keep quiet till we reach the shore."

Malhar pulled her up. Kalyani was shivering with cold. So Malhar took a blanket hidden inside the boat and wrapped it over Kalyani. He also lighted up some diyas in the boat to warm up.

"Thank you," Kalyani unwillingly said.

"One can mistake you for a sensible girl at times like this when you are not acting like an obnoxious, self-righteous brat who is not willing to listen to others."

Kalyani slapped malhar across his face right in front of his subordinates without caring him to be an ACP. malhar ne accha bola, personal matter hai.

It's good update pragyu here Malhar is just perfoming his duty but in this he have to hurt kalyani so his father can agreed to his condition atul is a greedy man who betrayed his country ..I doubt will he betrayed his daughter too...poor kalyani she loved her father alot ..and cannot able to see his true colours ...😭here I don't know whom to support or not ..both are right on their places and have their own good reason for it ..👍🏼

But I feel sad how she misunderstood him and say bad things to him...I feel really sad on that 😞😞 bechara he is so much suffering in his life and after listening these bitter types of taunts ..it's gets unbearable sometimes and he said till now he never take her advantage ..how can she say he used her for his own benefits. ..😐😐

Finally they reached the shore where other soldiers in exile were waiting. Malhar gave Kalyani some wild fruit to eat but Kalyani shook her head.

"Eat it," Malhar said sternly, "I don't want you to die of hunger before your father comes with the map."

Unwillingly Kalyani ate the fruit. They were sitting without saying anything.

Suddenly they heard voices coming towards them.

"My father has come," Kalyani said triumphantly, "Now each of you will die. Just begin counting your breaths."

It was Darius' soldiers disguised as villagers who attacked Malhar and the fleet. Most of the soldiers came from Darius' land but a few of them belonged to Sindhu Pradesh who had forsaken their truthful king to get favours from Darius. One of such commanders was Atharv. He was chopping bodies of Malhar's soldiers like one chops vegetables.

Malhar engaged him in a duel and gradually Atharv's strength was waning. Just when Atharv's sword was going to drop from his hand, a sword pierced Malhar's heart from behind. Malhar turned behind. Kalyani was standing there with a sword drenched in his blood.

"You? But why?" He could only say.

Just then Atharv turned him facing him and pushed his sword through Malhar's belly.

"Now you should thank me," Atharv whispered, "I'm going to send your son Moksh to you soon. See, I'm such a good person with a soft heart."

Kalyani's sword dropped hearing this.

"Moksh is your son?" She asked but by then Malhar had already breathed his last.
