Finally the big day had come. All the big drug dealers of Asia had arrived in the club for the big deal. In spite of himself, Malhar was feeling nervous. The dealers had been in the illegal drug business since years and were involved in every heinous crime one could think of from murder to torture. Fooling them was not going to be easy. Maybe he shouldn't have involved Kalyani in all this. No, she was necessary for the plan to succeed.
"Malhar Rane," he said to his reflection in the mirror, "Today's your last day as Malhar Malhotra. Kal se saara drama khatam aur vaapis se teri seedhi saadi life shuru." Malhar exhaled.
Kalyani was also there wearing a shimmering black dress. Malhar was starstruck when he saw her. He got closer to Kalyani.
"What are you doing?" Kalyani said. She was trying hard to not blush, "I've already told you I'm not interested in your flirting."
Malhar reached for her neck and latched a diamond necklace around it. Kalyani wanted to get closer and embrace him but she was pretending to be stern. Malhar adjusted the necklace.
"I told you na," Kalyani said, "I want to get closer to you."
Malhar stopped and raised his eyebrow.
"I m...mean," Kalyani corrected herself, "I mean I wanted to say I don't want you to get closer to me. You are such an insufferable Casanova."
Malhar kept his fingers on Kalyani's lips, saying, "Shhh!!!!"
And then adjusting the necklace again, he leaned closer to Kalyani and whispered in her ears, "There's a hidden camera in your necklace. So when you meet Atharv, stand in a way that he is captured in it. Aur, itni bhi sundar nahi ho tum Kalyani ki din-raat main tumse flirt karne ke baare me hi sochta rahoon. Aur agar aaj tumhare dil me fir Atharv ke liye dabaa hua pyaar jaag gaya, to I swear tumhe to main 15 saal tak jail ki chakki piswaye bina jaane nahi doonga." Then Malhar gave Kalyani a big smile and left.
Kalyani couldn't say anything. She was visibly shook.
Soon Atharv also arrived in the club but Kalyani stopped his path.
"You?" Atharv was shocked, "Since when you started clubbing and all?"
"I've changed Atharv," Kalyani said confidentially, "I'm no more the old Kalyani. This new Kalyani wants to party hard, hook up with bad boys, and just want money." Kalyani traced his finger on Atharv's face.
"Kitni overacting kar rahi hai," Malhar muttered to himself, "Atharv ke itne paas jaane ki zaroorat kya hai? Door se bhi to keh sakti hai na vo ye sab."
"Kalyani, Kalyani!" Atharv came towards her, "Agar tumne apna ye andaaz mujhe pehle hi dikhaya hota to main tumhe chhorta hi kyon. Khair, what do you want now?"
Kalyani got closer to Atharv, and standing on her toes, whispered in his ears, "Ailmony of Rs. 20 crore. I know you deal in drugs and sell them at exorbitant prices to your masters. I just have to tell your masters about your double crossing..."
"And why would they believe that?" Atharv said, shook from the changed personality of Kalyani, clutching his mobile phone tightly, "I've been working with them since seven years."All the drug dealers' secrets I've stored in a secret place. I just have to anonymously tip the police."
"Why are you clutching your phone like a child?" Kalyani taunted, "Is your girlfriend going to call you?" Saying this, she put her high heels on Atharv's foot.
"Atharv cried in pain and his phone dropped from his hands. A policeman in plain clothes picked up the cellphone and placed a similar looking phone instead. Atharv could not see all this.
Just then Malhar came and said to Atharv, "Buddy! Just give me the stuff and I'll transfer you money."
Atharv went with him towards the car parking. Atharv stood their waiting for someone to fetch drugs from his car to Malhar's.
Malhar said, "Are we going to stand doing nothing all night?"
Atharv asked, "Where are your men to lift the stuff?"
Malhar said, waving his hand, "Nah! I don't trust anyone to bring along. Whatever lifting is there you've to do."
"Me?" There was too much stuff.
"You can't," Malhar said patting his shoulder, "Cool! I'll ask another dealer..."
"Wait! I'm doing it."
And Atharv was drenched in sweat due to lifting heavy boxes after an hour.
"I don't think this one is original stuff," Malhar said pointing towards a box.
"This is hundred percent original," Atharv said, indignantly, and showed a sample from each box to Malhar, vouching for its originality.
"Cool!" Malhar said, "So you've sold me all this original drugs."
"Yes," Atharv said proudly. Malhar took out his phone and after a minute said, "I've transferred the money to your account." As soon as he said, Atharv's mobile beeped. He looked at the phone. The SMS alert said that his a/c was credited with the promised amount. Atharv shook his hands with Malhar and they both left in different directions.
Atharv met the dealers in the club and said, "Deal done."
"Where's our money?" A scary-looking Mongolian drug lord asked.
"Wait a sec," Atharv said, "I'm transferring it."
"Done!" He said. The drug lords asked their Minions to check their respective accounts but they were told no money was credited.
"L...let me check," Atharv said. He remembered about a drug dealer who stole just five lakhs from a drugdealer and his armless, legless corpse was found in a ditch.
The transaction was displayed as failed due to insufficient balance.
"This can't be possible," Atharv checked his mobile balance. It was in negative figures.
"You tried to double cross us," the drug dealers were moving towards him in a circle.
"N...no," Atharv said, "I've been loyal to you."
Just then a video started displaying on a large screen with Atharv saying, "All the drug dealers' secrets I've stored in a secret place. I just have to anonymously tip the police."
All the drug dealers started looking at the video and Atharv had no other option than to dial 100 on his phone.
------
Malhar was promoted to Joint Commissioner Narcotics after nabbing all the major big fish in Asian drug market. With Moksh in his one arm, and buying vegetables from his free hand, a girl came towards him and said, "Mr. Rane would you like to drink a cup of coffee with me?"
Malhar looked at the girl. She was wearing a short olive colour dress with curly hair.
"Are waah! Moksh ki aai!" Malhar said, "Aaj to mizaaj hi badle huye hain aapke. Check kar loon, Sooraj paschim se to nahi nikla na?"
"Ab aap apne purane dharre par aa gaye," Kalyani said, "To yeh flirting, charming hone ki zimmedari to mujhe hi sambhaalni hogi na."
"Coffee magar kahaan?" Malhar asked.
"Usi club ke baahar," Kalyani said.
"Vahaan to chai-coffee chhorkar sab milta hai," Malhar asked, "Chalo paas me chai ki ek gumti hai. Mast chai banate hain dada vahaan. Vahin chalte hain."
Then leaning against Malhar, Kalyani with him and Moksh went towards the tea shop.
So this was the end of FF. Please let me know of your feedback.
