Kalma k ghar aayi nanhi pari.....
welcome to rane family....
Just beautiful and adorable...
Let's see how moksh react on the arrival of a baby girl..
Episode 26
Kalyani was resting in the ward as the nurse brought in the baby girl bundled in a pink wrap and placed her in the crib beside her bed. Anupriya, Sarthak, Swara and Moksh came in, their faces portraying the happiness within them.
"Malhar ! Kalyani !! Hamare ghar pari aayi hai. Bohot khush hai ham sab." Anupriya hugged her daughter while Sarthak clapped Malhar's back. "Congratulations mere bachon."
"Dada, Vahini ! mai phirse aatya ban gayi. Ab dekhiye hum teenon kaise masti karte hain, kyun Moksh karenge na?" They hi-fived each other.
Kalyani smiled at them and leaned on her Aai while opening her arms to Moksh, "Pillu, aaja idhar…" and Moksh rushed into his mother's arms. She kissed his cheek, "Pillu, apni baby sister ko dekha tune? Bilkul teri kaisi hai woh. Jab tu baby tha, tab tu bhi itna cutu sa tha."
Moksh got down from his mom's lap, went closer to the crib and looked at his teeny weeny sister whose eyes were closed in a blissful sleep. "Baba, kya mai use touch kar sakta hun?" he asked his dad.
"Bilkul, tumhari behen hai, aaram se touch karna, warna use dard hoga."
Moksh gently ran his fingers on the baby's cheek and her skin felt as soft as a feather to his touch. She opened her little mouth for a moment and closed it back again. He was awed by the cuteness. "Baba, kitni soft hai aur kitni pink lag ri hai. Babies aise hote hai kya?"
Malhar kneeled beside his son, "Haan beta, babies aise hi cute aur soft hote hain. Isliye hume jyada softly handle karna hoga."
"Lekin Baba, baby ko aise baand ke kyu rakha hai, uske haath aur pair kyu nahi dikh re hai?"
"Woh isliye kyun ki itni choti si baby ko thand lagega aur godh me lena bhi aasaan hoga."
"Baba, jaisa aapne kaha tha waise hi hume girl baby mil gayi, pakka ye mere saath khelegi na?"
"Pakka, hum dono milke use sikhayenge."
Moksh seemed satisfied with the answer and he smiled at his mom, happiness shining in his eyes.
"Aai ! Mujhe toh bhai chahiye tha, lekin meri behen sabse cutest baby hai."
Aao Saheb, Pallavi and Goda entered and Moksh proudly showed Goda his little sister. "Badhai Ho ! Ghar me Lakshmi aayi hai ! " Aao Saheb's booming voice congratulated the parents of the new born. She then picked up her great granddaughter from the crib and began walking around and Moksh felt the need to assert his status as a brother, "Badi Nani, dheere, aaram se chaliye, meri behen ko lag jaayegi."
"Parmeshwara ! Ab tum hume sikhaoge bacha kaise sambhalna hai. Hey Prabhu, kaise din dikha rahe ho hume." Everyone laughed and the room filled with happy banter.
Soon the visiting hours were over and everyone left home. Moksh had wanted to be beside the baby but his dad had asked him to leave saying, "Moksh, ab tum Aazoba aur Nani ke saath jao. Yahan hospital me jyada log nahi reh sakte."
"Please Baba mujhe baby ke saath rehna hai." he pleaded his dad.
"Nahi Moksh, ab tumhe jaana hoga. Hum donon shaam ko bahar chalenge aur baby ke liye shopping karenge."
"Promise?"
"Pakka wala promise." Malhar smiled, hugging his son and Moksh reluctantly left with his grandparents.
Malhar picked up his tiny tot from the crib and sat beside his wife. Kalyani caressed her daughter's cheek and leaned on his shoulder, "Aapko princess mil gayi, khush hai na aap?"
"Itna khush hun Kalyani, ki use express karne ke shabd nahi hai mere paas. Kitni pyaari hai meri princess…."
"Hamari family complete ho gayi Malharji. Waise hum iska naam kya rakhenge? Mai kuch acha sa modern naam sochti hun."
"Tum rehne do Kalyani, agar tumhe choice diya toh tum Pilli, Pinky, Rosy jaise kuch pet names hi choose karogi. Apni beti ke liye maine naam chun liya hai."
"Kitne unfair hai aap, Pillu ka naam bhi aapne choose kiya tha. Mujhe bhi ek chance milni chahiye."
"Kalyani, pure pregnancy me tumne mujhse kya kya karwaaya, tumhare sare baat maine chup chap maan li na, toh ab ye meri wish hai, tumhe bhi maan na hoga."
"Teek hai, apni wish puri kar lijiye, jab mere dono bache mujhse puchenge na ki unke naam itne old fashioned kyun hai, tab main unse kahungi ki aapne mujhe koi choice nahi di.."
He nuzzled her neck, "Do bachon ki maa bankar bhi tumhara drama karne ki aadat nahi jaayega na… Pagli."
As promised, Malhar had taken Moksh out and they had shopped for the little one, filling a whole cupboard with cute and comfortable dresses, diapers, baby powder, oil, nappy cream, diapers and all other stuff that she would require. They had bought a crib with a soft pink bedding in it and Moksh even helped his dad to set up the crib in their bedroom, by placing the soft little pillows and bolsters along the sides of the crib.
Two days later, Kalyani and the baby were discharged. Malhar took them home, where Anupriya who was waiting with the aarti thal, welcomed the mother and baby in. She gave strict instructions that Kalyani should rest well and not do any household chores as her body would take some to recover and had arranged for a helper to take care of the chores.
"Sarthak, ab mai do,teen mahinon tak yahan apni beti ke paas hi rahungi." she announced, shocking her husband.
"Mai akele kya karun?"
"Aap chote bache hai kya? Dekha nahi kaise Malhar ne khud ko sambhala, waise aap bhi apne aap ko sambhaliye. Meri beti ko meri zaroorat hai, ye sab Malhar se nahi ho paayega."
Malhar moved closer to Sarthak and whispered, "Kaka ab aapki baari. Waise hum is mauke ka faida utake, thoda men time bitha sakte hai."
"Acha idea hai, toh weekend ko aa jao, football match dekhte hai aur ek ek peg lagathe hain." Sarthak agreed while both their wives gave them suspicious looks.
Anupriya took care of Kalyani's diet so that the child could have nutritious feeds from her mother.
Sixteen days later, a small naming ceremony was done and she was given the name, "Siddhi" Siddhi Rane.
Moksh was excited to have the baby at home and kept checking on her every now and then. Whenever she opened her eyes, he hovered near her showing her funny faces. Her eyes would be wide open, fixed on his face, listening intently as he talked to her about himself, his school, friends and whatever else he could.
One such day, when he was playing with her making sounds for her with the rattle, she gave him a silly toothless smile and with that single smile she managed to pull all the strings in Moksh's little heart.
Malhar was also besotted with his little girl and he spent a lot of time beside her. During nights he often sat beside her crib admiring her angelic face. If she awoke in between, he would walk around with her talking sweet nothings until she went back to sleep again.
Her whimpers woke him up one night, "Siddhi ! Kya ho gaya meri baby ko….Aaja, Baba ke paas." he lifted her in his arms. Kalyani heard him softly talking to her and saw him walking around with her.
"Malharji, kya hua? Ut gayi kya?"
"Haan, nappy change kiya maine. Lekin wapas soyi nahi, shayad use bhook lagi hai."
Kalyani took her from him and soon little Siddhi was happily getting fed by her mom. After her feed she wanted to go back to her dad's waiting arms.
"Wah, apna kaam pura karke chali gayi Baba ke paas. Malharji, ye na bohot smart hai."
"Meri beti hai, smart toh hogi na."
"Ye sahi hai.. smart hai toh aapki beti. Hmm… Waise bhi ise sirf aap aur Pillu chahiye. Aur aap dono bhi ghar aate hi seedha usi ke paas jaate ho."
"Apni hi bachi se jealous hona achi baat nahi hai Kalyani." Malhar enjoyed pulling her leg.
"Mai jealous nahi hun Malharji. In fact mai bohot khush hun. Lekin kabhi kabhi aisa lagta ki aap teenon ko meri zaroorat nahi, mere bina bhi teekh rahenge."
"Kya bakwas hai yeh? Tumhare bina hum sab adhure hai Kalyani. Aisi baat phir kabhi apne zubaan me mat lana. Samjhi?"
"Sorry, mai ye sab kyun sochti hun mujhe khud samaj nahi aata. Doctor ne pehle hi kaha tha ki kuch logon ko delivery ke baad depression hota hai. Shayad mujhe bhi….." she could not continue as tears choked her throat.
He lowered a sleeping Siddhi into the crib and pulled his wife into his arms, "Ek baat ache se jaan lo, tumhare bina na mai aur na hamare bache jee sakte hain." He crushed his lips on hers and did not break the kiss until they were both gasping for breath.
True to her words, Kalyani always involved Moksh in taking care of his sister and never made him feel left out. In fact he began feeling responsible towards her. As months passed, Siddhi Rane was showing all her developments stage by stage and she was the apple of her father's and brother's eye.
After Moksh was back home from school she would crawl around him. Moksh tried to copy her "gguuu..gu Ggaaa gaa.." and that cheered her up.
When he sat down with his homework she pulled his notebooks and toppled his pencil case, scattering everything in it. Moksh never got angry, he just enjoyed having her around. Only their mom was having a tough time clearing the clutter her children created.
Whenever Malhar was around, it was always his arms that Siddhi wanted to be in. As soon as he entered the house, she would crawl up to him, hold his leg and wait to be picked up. When he bounced her in his arms, she would look at his face, giving him cute little smiles and gurgles.
Moksh complained to his mom, "Aai, ye kitni naughty hai, jab Baba aa jate hai toh mere saath nahi khelti."
"Hmm… bohot naughty girl hai Pillu, mere paas bhi nahi aati."
Soon Siddhi had learned to walk and Moksh was glad to hold her finger helping her to walk around the house. The first word that she uttered was "Da..Da.." and Moksh was over the moon. For her part, Siddhi also could not bear to be away from her Dada. Their parents were amazed seeing the growing bond between the siblings.
So finally Rane ke ghar aayi ek nanhi pari! congo to the Ranes and their babies!.This wtite up was lovely as usual.

Episode 27
Kalyani had taken to working from home to take care of her young daughter who was yet to go into playschool. She wondered why the house was suddenly so quiet because usually her darling daughter was always noisy. Getting up from her work desk, she went looking for Siddhi.
"Kahan gayi ye ladki… ?"
She found the two and half year old Siddhi sitting beside the dresser mesmerised with her mom's make up stuff and dressing herself with them. Unlike how Moksh had done a few years ago, she had used the lipstick perfectly with only a little smudges and was now using the brush, stroking her cheeks with blush. She had even used a purple coloured eye-shadow on her eyelids.
Kalyani smiled to herself, silently clicked pictures of her and sent them to her husband and texted, "Dekhiye kitna perfectly makeup laga ri hai."
"Meri beti hai isliye neatness aur perfection se kaam kar ri hai. Moksh toh tumhare tarah sab faila deta tha."
"Bohot hua Malharji, aap hamesha mujhe aur Pillu ko kuch na kuch bolte rehte hain. Ab mai aapko pictures nahi bejungi. Bye.😡"
She went closer to her daughter, "Siddhi, meli baby kitni pretty lag ri hai. Hum dono selfie lete hai."
Few months later, Siddhi had been enrolled into playschool. She enjoyed going there, playing with kids her size and age. Her naughtiness was on the loose most of the time and Kalyani had to hear the never ending complaints from the teacher.
One day when Malhar came back home, he found it strange that his little girl had not come running to him and the usual chatter was missing. He heard the banging of pots and pans and went into the kitchen to see an angry Kalyani.
"Kalyani ! Bache kahan hai? Tumhe kya hua hai?
"Moksh apna homework kar ra hai… "
"Aur Siddhi… ? Tum itne gusse me kyun ho?"
"Khud jaake dekh lijiye."
Malhar first went into the study room where Moksh was studying. He questioned his son with his eyes and Moksh also signalled him that Aai was angry with Siddhi and pointed to the bedroom.
Malhar went into their bedroom and saw his darling daughter standing there in a corner, finger on her lips and tears in her eyes. Seeing her dad, Siddhi began to whimper, "Baba !"
"Siddhi aao mere saath." He picked her up and went back to the kitchen.
"Kalyani kuch bataogi mujhe, kya hua hai. Kyun bachi ko punish kiya hai tumne? Dekho kaise ro rahi hai. "
"Kyun? sirf ye sab ko rula sakti hai kya?"
Malhar had not seen her so angry and he questioned his daughter, "Kya kiya tune? Aai itni gusse me kyun hai?" to which the little one just shook her head with an innocent look.
"Kaise innocent muh bana ke aapko dekh ri hai. Pata hai kya kiya isne? School me ek ladke ko kaat diya aur uske books fad diye kyun ki usne isse acha colouring kiya tha. Uske haath pe iske danton ka nishaan itna gehra tha aur pura laal ho gaya tha."
"Aisa kiya tune Siddhi, gandi baat. Tumhare dost ko kitna dard hua hoga. Kal jaake hum usse sorry bolonge teek hai?
Aage se kabhi aisa mat karna, warna agle baar Mai tumhe punish karoonga." he warned her.
Siddhi nodded her head and kissed her dad, "Sorry Baba. Sorry Aai. Nai karungi. Mai ab kheloon? " He let her down and she ran towards her toys.
Turning towards his wife, Malhar said, "Waise Kalyani….tum use punish nahi kar sakti."
"Kya matlab? Use sabaashi doon? Pata hai us Bechare bache ke maa se kitna sunna pada mujhe?"
"Are mai tumhari baat kar raha hun. Tumne bhi toh apne danton ke nishaan mujhpar chode hain, ek baar nahi, kayi baar. Soch raha hun tumhe kya punishment doon." his eyes twinkled as he backed her against the kitchen counter.
"Malharji, dono same situation nahi hai." she blushed deep red.
He dipped his head down and nibbled her lips.
"Malharji....kk… kya kar rahe hain aap, ch….chodiye mujhe, bache dekhenge. Moksh bada ho gaya….." she tried squirming out of his grip.
"Toh mai kya karun… sanyaas le loon?"
"Nahi….lekin sahi wakt aur jagah ke liye sabr se intezaar karna seekhiye." She nudged him slightly and escaped his grip, continuing her work.
He pulled her back and gave her a deep kiss before releasing her, "Kar lunga intezaar par jyada nahi."
Two years later…..
Malhar had been promoted in his work and Kalyani along with being an editor was now trying her hand at writing books for children.
Siddhi was 5 years old, still every bit naughty and was going to school along with her brother. She was a very active child with a never give up attitude. She loved outdoor play more and her stamina could not be matched by Moksh or Malhar. Though Moksh also loved playing, he had a little creative streak too.
Malhar was getting ready for work, had his uniform on but searching for his cap.
"Kalyani, mera cap kahan gaya?"
"Apni laadli se puchiye Malharji. Usi ne kahin chupa diya hoga khelne ke baad."
"Baba… " his little girl came into the room wearing his cap on her head.
"Dekha Aapne ! Maine kaha na ki isi ne liya hoga."
"Baba, ye cap mere upar acha lag ra hai na? Mujhe bhi aisa wala cap chahiye."
"Acha lag ra hai baby, lekin ye cap khelne ki cheez nahi hai, lao idhar." Siddhi handed over his cap reluctantly.
"Chalo ab school ke liye ready ho jao." Kalyani called her.
Malhar had left early and Kalyani dropped her children in school before going to work. Later in the afternoon, she went to pick them up and got the shock of her life.
Siddhi was punching a boy of Moksh's height on his stomach while Moksh was standing there rooted to the spot. There were tears in his eyes.
"Sorry Bolo mere Dada se." Siddhi shouted at him.
The teachers rushed there and pulled apart the children but not before Siddhi had hit the boy's head with a stone. The boy was rushed for first aid of his wound while both Siddhi and Moksh were taken to the principal.
The teacher had spotted Kalyani and taken her to the principal's cabin where Moksh was being questioned and Siddhi was being glared at.
"Moksh, what happened, why was your sister hitting Vishal and why did you not stop her?"
Moksh did not answer but his eyes were downcast filled with tears. Siddhi held her brother's hand, "Dada bolo na…" she whispered.
Meanwhile Kalyani, Vishal and his mother had entered the cabin. The mothers were seated while the three children stood silently.
"Mrs Rane, I'm sure you witnessed what happened just now and there is no excuse for this kind of violent behaviour. Moksh has always been a well behaved boy and I didn't expect this behaviour from your daughter."
Kalyani looked at her daughter who clearly was waiting to tell her side of the story. Kalyani went beside her and asked, "Siddhi tumne Vishal ko kyun maara? Ye galat hai beta, tum usse abhi maafi maango."
"Pehle usse kahiye Dada se maafi maangne ko uske baad mai sorry bolungi." she replied adamantly.
Siddhi's teacher intervened and looked at the principal, "Siddhi is also very well behaved ma'am and I'm shocked today. Please allow me to question her."
As the principal gestured to go ahead, she asked, "Siddhi, would you please tell us why you behaved this way?"
"Teacher, Vishal made fun of Moksh Dada and told him that I am not his real sister. He told us that my mom is not his mom. So I got angry. I asked him to say sorry but he laughed at me and made my Dada cry. He is a bad boy teacher."
Kalyani was again shocked by what she had just heard and apologised to the principal.
She then looked at Vishal's mother, "Maana ki meri beti ne galat kiya, use haath nahi utana chahiye tha, aur mai aapse maafi maangti hun lekin aapke bete ne bhi galat kiya."
Vishal's mother did not back down, "Kya galat kaha, sach hi toh bola usne, Aap Moksh ki swateli maa hi toh hai. Sahi kaha tha Aparna tai ne ki aap bohot hi badtameez aurat hai. Shayad isi wajah se Moksh aur Siddhi bhi ek Dusre se alag hai. Moksh itna acha aur aapki beti itni badtameez."
The principal intervened and warned the children not to talk unnecessary things and asked them to apologise to each other.
She then turned to the parents and berated them for allowing their children to indulge in gossip and bashing. "The fault is on both sides. Please control your children from hurting others be it by words or physically. Make sure this doesn't happen again."
On their way back from school, the children were very quiet but Kalyani's mind was in turmoil. Why had Aparna Aatya spewed all this venom now? What was Moksh feeling? She hoped that he wouldn't have believed Vishal's or his mother's words but if he did, how would they deal with it? How would both the children be affected by this?
