Maternal instincts don't make you a mother
Sampada almost had me fulled yesterday with her teary eyes, her joyful smile when she saw her little baby and her attempt to take him with her despite Atharv's protest.
I, unfortunately, considered that she deserves a second chance... a second chance for Pillu and her to be together again as mother and son.
Only that today she proved what her true nature really is: when she walked away from the mall saving her life and leaving her baby to face a certain cruel and painful death. She is simply a traitor.
It makes no difference that it was Atharv who convinced her to walk away... there is no excuse for what she did.
What I watched yesterday were just pure maternal instincts... something that almost every woman is genetically designed to feel for her children. This is just not good enough. It's easy to hug a baby, to kiss him, to crave for him... as babies are so cute... and inoffensive.
... the real test occurs when you have to choose between you and your child... and Sampada chose herself... AGAIN!
And on the other side... We had Kalyani... not the real mother of Pillu, so young herself... almost a child... but put Pillu's life above hers.
A very meaningful lesson from this episode: to be a real mother implies love and sacrifice and Kalyani proved all of them today itself.
