Part 11-

Kanak looked down at the photo on her phone of Uma, her eyes burnt with tears. She crouched down in the corner and closed her eyes tightly, tears rolling down her face. Everything she wanted from life and the one she wanted to spend her life with was him, but after today she may never see him again, and she had no way of telling him that today was the day she was going to go up against Ragvan, she had to save her college and the people in it, no matter what the outcome could be, she stood up slowly and took a deep breath, wiping away her tears, she pressed a kiss to the picture on the phone and began the walk to confront Ragvan.

Uma zoomed up the street, he looked at his watch and sighed heavily, he had been restless after the phonecall, he knew something was wrong and the owl and his itchy hand had only added more to his worry for her, he had looked for years to find her and he couldn't afford to lose her now, he just hoped he could arrive in time to safeguard her from any danger that was coming her way.

Kanak stood before Ragvan, she eyed the gun in his hand, she wasn't really sure how to handle this now she was stood infront of him, she needed proof. "Please don't do this, I beg you, I don't know why you're angry and you probably have every right to be, but killing more innocent people wont take your pain away, it will only pass it on to other people. Ragvan raised his left brow "Im sorry he laughed "Did you really think you could just walk on in here and say all that and stop me, you wouldn't be the first to try and stop me and you certainly will not be the last, but first of all, lets get one thing straight, I am no monster, that's why you have five seconds

"Five seconds to what she asked, confused. His eyes lit up dangerously and he leaned forward "To run. Kanak gasped, turned and ran as fast as she could through the hallway, everyone had left the college now and Priya believed she had gone home. Kanak's legs burnt as she ran to the balcony, she turned around facing Ragvan, he sneered at her and stepped forward, without wasting a moment, she jumped on the plank of wood making it rise up and smack him in the face, she grabbed it and bashed him around the face making the gun fall from his hand.

He looked up angrily, smearing the blood across his forehead with his hand, he stood back up and tackled her to the ground, Kanak tried to grab the gun, stretching her hand out, he smacked his head into hers and grabbed the gun, standing up he held it up pointing towards her. In a last ditch effort she stretched out her leg and kicked him in the ankle. She jumped up quickly and stepped back "Stop she shouted

Uma arrived outside the college, he looked around "Kanak he shouted. He turned around fast, looking everywhere for her, he picked up his phone, calling hers. He stopped as he heard the ringing of her phone, he looked up slowly to see Kanak's arms flailing around as she fell from the balcony, her phone hitting the ground before her, Uma stretched out his arms and grabbed her, she looked over at him shocked before hugging him tightly.

"Kanak, whats happening, why are you bleeding he asked worriedly. Kanak put her hand on her stomach, her head pounding "He shot me she grunted painfully. Uma looked up to see his new replacement looking down at them. Uma placed her down, "Its okay, I've got you, okay, I can fix this he kissed her forehead as he ripped his kurta off and tied it tightly around her waist where the bullet had gone through. Kanak grasped his arm "He wants to bomb the school, call for help

Uma stood up when he was tapped on the shoulder, Ragvan went to punch him, but Uma ducked and grabbed his wrist, bending it back till it snapped making him scream. He yanked him forward, wrapping his arm around his neck "For touching the woman I love, I will make you pay He kneed him in the back, knocking him to the floor and then kicked him across the face when he got onto his knees

Uma grabbed his phone "I need police and the ambulance please, at the community college in Rajasthan. Uma picked a nearly unconscious Kanak up in his arms, he put his head in her hair "Stay with me please he begged, she gripped his shoulder tightly trying to stay awake when they heard a menacing laugh. "5, 4, 3, 2, 1 Ragvan laughed then the bomb went off.

Hello all, I hope you're still reading this and I am so sorry for not updating in so long, I had some personal issues, anyway I am getting back to normal and I'm hoping all these updates mean I have come back with a bang.

I'm not sure if because ive been away for so long my writing has got worse or better so you will have to let me know, anyway I hope youre all well and I have missed you all so much!

No! Not the end!

Uma rolled Kanak over, down the hill as the bomb went off, they landed in the water as the college started to waver under the impact, falling to the side.
Kanak looked up at Uma, teary eyed, he brought her up, cupping her cheeks he pressed kisses to her face
"You're okay, im so glad you're okay"

Kanak gripped his arm "Hospital, I need to go to the hospital"
Uma picked her up in his arms, she groaned painfully and rested her head against his shoulder
Uma walked towards his car, putting her in, he got in quickly as the fire brigade turned up, trying to put the fire out

It was a few hours later when Kanak woke up, she had already been labelled as the hero for the college and its people, she stretched out her hand making Uma stand and walk to her
"Did anyone get hurt, the college"
Uma shook his head "They managed to find out about Ragvan and his people, they are all arrested and Ragvan is dead"

Kanak released a breath, a tear falling down her cheek
"I didnt think I was going to make it, I thought I would never see you again"
Uma pressed a kiss to her hand, he wiped her tears "Its okay, you're here now, i'm here"
Kanak shook her head, trying to sit up
"Kanak, please you need to rest"
Kanak shook her head

"No, I need to know you're here please"
Uma helped her sit up and she wrapped an arm around him to sit up, she rested her right hand on his cheek "I love you, so much and I need you to know that"
Uma stroked her hair "I love you to, you're my saving grace, I didnt think I would ever fall in love with someone, all my life I looked for you"

Kanak looked up at him, pressing her lips to his ever so gently "Thank you" she whispered
Uma looked back as someone knocked on the door, Kanak's family walked in making Uma step back as they hugged her but Kanak still held on tightly to his hand
Santosh stood back and walked over to Uma
"Your coupling is exactly like Sooraj and Sandhya"
Uma lowered himself taking her blessings

Santosh looked at Kanak and Uma's hands still interlinked and stood back
"The hospital said you're good to come home tomorrow"
Kanak smiled "Yay"
Santosh looked up at Uma "Ive spoken to Pari, I want you both to marry at the earliest convenience, she agrees"
Uma looked over at Kanak, "We would love that"
Santosh and the family smiled

The wedding was done a week after the incident, their loved ones gathered around
Mr Gupta stepped forward "I will never know how to thank you both for what you have done and Kanak, I should have listened, it was my mistake"
Uma and Kanak shook their heads "There is honestly nothing to thank us for" they said in unison making Mr Gupta smile
He gave them his blessings and then stepped away

Priya hugged Kanak, she kissed her cheek "You call me everyday, promise"
Kanak nodded "everyday"
Priya wiped away her tears "My make up is ruined now, im going to miss you so much"
They both hugged
Uma looked on, he really didnt want to take Kanak away from everything she loved
"Kanak, we dont have to leave all this behind"

Kanak shook her head "Youve met my family, allow me to meet yours, I will always come back to visit"
Uma nodded and they continued to say their goodbyes
Soon after they sat in Uma's car, they waved their goodbyes, Kanak still teary eyed but excited for what the future held

5 Years Later-

Uma held Kanak close, they sat on the beach watching the waves pass them, she sat between his legs, his chin rested atop her head.
The last 5 years had been a battle against many things, but they had come out succesful in the end.

Uma and Kanak now lived together peacefully, beliefs and traditions still strong for them both, yet only when necessary.
Kanak lifted his hand, brushing her lips against his knuckles she relaxed into his hold, releasing a sigh

"Happy anniversary Uma"
"Happy anniversary Kanak"
