It's a new day, new year, new setting for everyone stands with a smile adorning their faces, their eyes twinkling for the tears have washed out the dust and thy shine crystal clear. Kanak walks in like a pretty bride, accompanied by her friends, she looks around at the setting... after the storm everything seems good, decorated in white - white canvas to write their own story.
While Kanak had come smiling, Uma walks in with a straight face... he is in the moment but he is serious enough. He sits and looks at her, he tries to bring a smile on his face looking at all radiant, she asks him not to force himself as she would smile enough for both of them. Uma takes Kanak away for two minutes - something is on his mind. KanUm stands in front of Shivji idol, Shivji has been a witness to a lot off lately. The circle of KanUm which started by sanket. Finally the day has come when Uma realizes that marrying her forcibly was wrong, it was wrong to force the rules and regulations on her, he accepts his mistake, his wrong doings as he wasn't a good husband - it takes a lot more than one can imagine to actually realize ones mistake, and more than that to confess and to seek forgiveness. He wants to start fresh with Kanak, he doesn't want his original sin to hand over his head anymore... Kanak although should have been a bit more serious, but accepts his apologies and asks him to move on in life, as the shadows of past would only darken the future - indeed it's true that past should be kept in the past, to learn from ones mistake, one should focus on a better present rather than the anticipation of future. KanUm hug, erasing all the distances from between them, in that moment their record slates have been cleaned. They know each other as a human being, as individuals with personality of their own, they know the flaws and qualities and this time they accept each other with all their heart.
Getting the confession from his mind, it's like the weight was removed from him - Uma is more active and happy with Kanak. He smiles and he looks adorable, for it's not easy but yet he tries to be happy for Kanak and them together. Bhabho ties their gadbandhan- that's an unbreakable bond, it's their promise to never ever leave each other. They take the pheras smiling, their dreams coming true, their love being fulfilled by their union. With each phera, the happiness level increases around them till the black cloud walks in, blocking the sun from shining bright on KanUm...the smiles melt away and the whole positive atmosphere gets charged with negativity. Massi has brought police, framing Uma for Palomi's murder, while Uma looks on... his smile vanished and his eyes reddened with the fury of betrayal, it feels as if the bandage he had applied last night had been brutally ripped open... he stands quietly listening all the accusations hurled at him, for being a fraud ayurved quack, for murdering Palomi and for stealing from Maturved pharma, she pinched at the raw wounds with glee.
While he had been quiet at being betrayed and poisoned, Massi had gotten herself an anticipatory bail and Aditya is free from all charges. - why was it not enough for Massi to walk out with the formula worth crores, poisoning Uma, attempting murder , why didn't they flee and left KanUm to their own devices. Does their evil have no end, while the Toshniwal family was still getting over the shock, trying to fix their life, Massi brought more vengeance.
