Kanak ran into the corner, sitting down she rocked slowly, her arms grasping her knees to her chest

"I said, I said that if you touch me again Uma will come for you, I dont want you, I have a husband, I am his, only his, no matter what you do"

Uma couldn't help but run towards her, wrapping his arms around her as he fell onto his knees


Clawing at his arms she screamed "No, no, not again please "

"Kanak, Kanak its me, shhh"
Kanak calmed slowly

His name a cry as she pulled him closer, bringing his lips to hers
Their teeth clashed as she climbed onto his lap

Pushing him down she straddled his lap as she kissed down his neck "I need you"
Warm tears slipped down her face as the room began to become a blur

She felt starved, like Uma was her only salvation, the feelings were so intense it sent her mind into overdrive

Breathless, she still couldn't find it within herself to pull away
"Uma I"
"Dont speak, its okay I am here, its just us and I will keep you safe"

His fingers trailed her shoulder, stopping at the ragged skin, he pushed her top down to see a litter of deep scars running down her back

Gritting his teeth , he growled angrily

Kanak pulled herself up, trying to run Uma grasped her wrist

"No, please dont, its so ugly"
Pressing a kiss over her scar, he pulled her back into his chest

"I dont expect you to want me when I look like this"
Turning her around he grasped her chin, making her look into his eyes

"I will always want you, I didnt fall in love with your body I fell in love with your heart and soul and who you are. The girl who makes me laugh, smile, who never gives up on me is what made me want you.
The way you look is just a plus side to who you are, but you are still beautiful, even if your body was filled with those scars, you would still be the most beautiful woman in my life"

Uma wiped away a tear from her eye "You are a piece of art, dont feel disgusted by how you look,youre unique. But if you want to get rid of them, I have a way. But you have to know I will accept you any way"

She was overwhelmed at his reaction, she never thought he would accept her, not after this but he did.

"I want to show you"
Kanak pulled her top up, showing him her back, his fingers traced the scars slowly
"Are you crying, see theyre horrible to look at"

Kanak tried to pull her top down but Uma wouldnt let her
"No, im crying because I wasnt there to save you"

He proceeded to kiss every scar, standing up again "But each scar is a part of you, and I love every part of you so please dont be ashamed"

Turning her around, he pulled her top down, kissing her forehead he pulled her to him

Kanak was lying in bed resting when Uma picked up the phone
"Wheres my baby " a male voice laughed


Uma looked at Kanak, his fingers gripped onto the phone tighter
"Who is this"

The man laughed "Meet me at the rink in an hour and you will find out"

An hour had passed as Uma stood waiting for this mysterious stranger to arrive

Kanak awoke, she had saw another rock on the floor "if you want to see your husband come to the rink"


Kanak wasnt sure what to expect when she saw a man face down laying in the mud

Kanak approached slowly, "please dont be Uma, please"

Turning the body over she was relieved to see it wasnt Uma, instead a stranger she didnt recognise

Aditya stood smiling at her as she saw Uma tied up behind him

Gasping as Aditya grabbed her she screamed

"Let go of her" Uma shouted
Kanak tried to reach him as Aditya pulled out a knife

"One more move and ill carve my name on your back"
She stilled automatically as Uma saw the fear in her eyes

He shouted her name as he pulled the ropes open, standing up

"Come on, you and me "
Throwing Kanak to the floor, he ran towards Uma

After some fighting Aditya had Uma pinned down, Kanak grabbed a boulder from the floor

Lifting it she threw it on Adityas head as Uma pushed him down and got up, pulling Kanak towards him


The police sirens could be heard in the distance as Ved ran forward
"Thank you for calling me Kanak"

She nodded, thankful for calling him before she left
Uma cupped her cheek "Thank you for being so brave"


"Thank you for keeping me safe"
Uma smiled down at her as Ved arrested Aditya
Uma and Kanak walked home

Sitting on the sofa they sighed "Its over now Kanak, youre safe, Aditya told me everything I dont think less of you"

Kanak snuggled into his hold "Im so lucky to have you"
"Likewise"

Holding her hand he pressed a kiss to it "tumhaare bina jeena asambhav hai"
