It is a difficult task to actually figure out who Palomi really is. In my opinion, she is the only character next to Payal, who is really confused regarding her own personality/identity.
I'll come back to Payal once I get done with Palomi.

So, to begin with, I initially loved Palomi, yes I did. The sole reason being her pure love for Uma. At first, she was this simple lady who acknowledged the fact that Uma has happily married Kanak and sees her as his life partner. And I liked this nature of Palomi. She instead of feeling insecure and jealous, showed the real spirit of being in love, by being happy for Uma...praying to God that Kanak keeps him happy. This was the Palomi once upon a time...who initially referred to herself as Meera. (For those of you who don't know Meera, she was an ardent devotee of Lord Krishna, who unlike Radha, never got the opportunity to meet Lord Krishna and be known as his Premika/Lover. She chose to be referred to just as a dedicated devotee, an unrecognised silent lover and admirer of Lord Krishna.) Palomi had agreed to accept her fate. Even though Suman instigated her to take some sort of action, she refrained herself from doing anything of that sort. She left it all to Suman, to do the planning and the plotting.

Even when Kanak returned to Uma's house after running away for the first time, Palomi kept her calm. She kept doing things to impress Uma, but in the process, never hurt Kanak or Uma.
She didn't even interfere with Kanak's Shat Patni Charitra Tests, and as usual, never gave up on her blank gloomy expression.
But then after a sudden turn of events, even Palomi's character started losing it's true essence.
It all started when Palomi came to know about Kanak's Rambha Test, when suddenly out of nowhere she became desperate to conquer Uma's heart's territory. I think Palomi's 'Rambha' avatar, oops, 'Kanak Copy Cat' avatar came in as a surprise to the viewers too. Her love turned into lust for no reason. 😕

Earlier, even before the Rambha Test, KanUm were suppossed to do the Suhaag Raat stuff twice, even though both the times it was unsuccessful. Now the thing that doesn't make sense in all of this is that why didn't it pester Palomi as much as it did this time when Kanak took the Rambha avatar. Palomi had made her mind to stay strong, and not lose her character, then why did she give in too fast ? According to the serial it happened only during those 20 days of Kanak's stay at Toshniwal Haveli right ?
All these questions can only be answered by Palomi, I mean the CVs. 😭

Well, that one thing was not enough to butcher Palomi's character. The CVs made Palomi Masi sa's 'partner in crime' too. Now when I watch Masisa and Palomi, it feels like watching the Lady Shakuni playing with Lady Duryodhana's innocent mind. All the planning and plotting of Masisa gives the feeling of watching Shakuni in Kaliyuga, that too in Lady avatar. 😆

Palomi has now gone too low to get what she desires. She blindly believes what Masi sa says, and when she witnesses KanUm coming closer, she intentionally provokes Masisa and questions her strategies. She has finally entered into the dirty kitchen politics arena. She does some extremely inhuman and stupid stuffs just to get accepted by Uma. In the process, she hurts anyone and everyone who comes in her way. She has no morals to be followed now, she only wants what she wants. But she forgets the fact that it can put her into a dangerous situation in future, wherein she would lose her everything.

The confusing aspect about her personality/identity is that whether she has love, lust or just a mere attraction towards Uma...or is it just that she is jealous of Kanak's personality as a whole and is insecure about the fact that Uma appreciates her ? Is Palomi egoistic and wants to come over her ego issues regarding Kanak ? Palomi herself is confused about her own self and she is contradicting and ridiculing her previous statements, as she is no more the Meera in Uma's life, she wants to become the Menka, which will bring her down as she won't be worshipped like Meera is. 🤢

All in all, I have no problem with Palomi adorning herself with those backless blouses, until her intentions are not wrong. Maybe, this in a way is done, to reach out to the viewers and tell them that see, Palomi is insecure of Kanak and wants to prove to Uma that she looks better than Kanak. Now I don't even know whether to like Palomi or hate her. She is a character who has given us the reasons to like her as well as hate her...strange !!!! 😲

Personally, I applaud Madhura Naik for portraying Palomi the way she does. And even for the fact that she blindly trusts the CVs and plays her part the way it should be. Her acting makes it easier to watch Palomi without hating her much. The same goes for Sadiya Siddique for perfectly portraying Masisa. 👏👏

Well, that's it, I wrote each and everything I know about Palomi...this has come out too long to read, but this is definitely not to offend anyone's opinion. These are just my views and perceptions. If any of you don't agree with me it's definitely fine. 😊😳

Exactly same confusion. When they showed pauli for the first time she was preparing what and all listed by Uma. I was so impressed with bgm, her outfit everything. I thought she will be portraying Meera only. But real life one can't become Meera that easily. Just like masi they spoiled Pauli's character too. They could have handle it properly, ie no body is venomous it's just situations and misunderstandings. But :(

U have wonderfully portrayed character of Palomi..
As u hv mentioned I never loved her.. Rather I always felt pity for her... N now strongly hate her...

How dare a refugee of the house speaks to the owner in such language.. (remember Kanak's grihpravesh)... I was shocked by her avtar... N then the way she stared at Kanak holding hand of Uma..

I am really waiting for the day.. When her real intensions will be out in front if Kanak and Uma...

Suman has played the vital role in Palomi's transformation. She was the serpent earlier who directed the catastrophic path of Palomi. Now she after her fruitful fulfillment of her desires cajoling Kanak.
Kanak's confusion in the past regarding her feelings for Uma sowed the seeds for every dubious deeds by Massisa & Palomi.
Madhura Naik has the prowess in playing such negative characters onscreen. She had never played any positive character in any serial i guess unlike Massisa who I have witnessed in playing some aristocratic, decents characters.

Hi Vivid diamond
What a nice analysis is on Palomi.

But I am sorry to disagree with you.

Palomi is never been put in any place before to show her true character.

She always been sweet to every one in the family and would have stayed same if Kanak didn't come into Uma's life.

During the marriage time her dialogue is "I will stick around to see if the marriage succeds".

It doesn't sound like Meera dialogue to me. She know Uma better than Kanak and she is living in the house many years. That house gave her food, shelter and love.

What she gave them back in return. Only reason she stayed in that house after marriage in the hope that Uma and Kanak marriage will break. She said that straight after marriage.

What's her intention in listening to Uma and Kanak's alteration and learning the truth that there is no physical relation between them.

I don't think it's any decent girl work.

Then shamelessly she brought that topic before Uma.

Sorry vividdiamond, I don't see any Meera in her. Definitely she want to be Meera so she assumed that character but she is not Meera. However she tried to control her lust or security or identity crisis whatever it is the evil side of her won. But she may realize her mistakes one day.

Inside each of us, there is the seed of both good and evil. It's a constant struggle as to which one will win.

Unfortunately for the moment evil side won..

Truly it's my opinion and sorry if it hurts any one..

But happy to see any contradictions which may change my opinion..

Hi manasa.123 !! Thank you for appreciating my work firstly 😳 And please don't be sorry for anything ! As I've already written at the end, these are all my views and people have the right to have different opinions.

During one of the episodes when Uma forcefully married Kanak and brought her to the Toshniwal House, I did see Palomi doing something in the kitchen, probably crushing some herbal medicine, and that is when she tried to pacify herself, saying something of this sort I guess, "Even Meera was not able to become Lord Krishna's Premika (Lord Krishna's Lover) but still, atleast her true love and devotion towards Lord Krishna is recognised and worshipped."
This made me understand that she was ready to give up on Uma, even though her decision didn't last for too long. I could see some selfless qualities in Palomi initially, just like Meera, as she had decided to not be recognised as Uma's lover. Earlier, she didn't come in Kanak's way purposely and that somewhat was a good quality she possessed. She kept her feelings and obsession under control.
I too agree with you that she couldn't become the Meera and that is what I've tried to explain through my post. She can never be addressed as the Meera in Uma's life, all thanks to her conspiracies against Kanak, which also hurt Uma in some way or the other. Now she doesn't even care about how Uma would get hurt due to her actions.

If you don't agree with me, again it's okay 😊
I appreciate you to voice out your opinion 👏

I hope Palomi openly admits her mistakes and tells everything to Uma about the way she feels for him.

I completely agree with you vividdiamond
It's true she had amazing qualities but she is not able to stand up on them for long as you pointed out.

If she is able to do it then she would have been one more strong character like Kanak.

But I do feel same way that she may not be able to maintain this evil character for long.

Thank you so much for sharing your opinions and please continue do so ..

I love contradicting ideas.I love the way u described Palomi and people are not bad their choices are bad.

Believe me you made me feel little bit better towards Palomi.

Wish she will soon make right choice..
