Part- 10

Lakshmi and kanak goes to kitchen and prepares the kaada. Lakshmi was impressed by kanak's actitives. Kanak started to describes uma's favourites and routine. Nanisa and grandma watches this silently. After cooking everything, kanak and lakshmi carries the foods to uma's room. Kanak arranges the things.

Lakshmi: what are you doing bhabhisa?

Kanak: i am taking the gita, after finishing the yoga, he will read the gita.

Lakshmi: then? What are the things he will do usually ???

Kanak kept clothes ready with towel.

Kanak: first, he goes to bathroom and wash his face and wear his kurta. Then he puts mat on the floor and place gita on the centre of the mat. Then he will read the gita.

Lakshmi: bhabhisa, you are his perfect wife.

Kanak: didi... Ur brother is having many things like this.

Lakshmi: but ur amazing, u understood him within a short period of time. And ur taking care of each and everything related to him.. Ur perfect match for him.

Meanwhile uma comes to the room, smiles at lakshmi, and took his clothes , and went, straight to the bathroom. He finished all his routines. Then he sits for the breakfast.

Uma: good morning lakshmi, please join with me

Lakshmi: its ok dhadhusa. U carry on. Ur wife prepared ur favourites.

Uma smiles at kanak. Then finishes his breakfast.

Nanisa and grandma talks about uma

Nanisa: today, we are going do ritual in a different form.

Grandma: what?

Nanisa: ritual will be the same, but i make understand uma about one thing.

Grandma: what r u saying?

U will understand, when u see that

Wait, r u going to do that, what i am thinking now!!!!

Nanisa just gave smile...

Lakshmi brings kanak to a place near to the river. The place was closed by curtains, and a large vessel was also there, in the vessel a little wodden chair was kept inside that.

Kanak: what is this didi?

Lakshmi: this is the one of the ritual where ur going to take holy bath here.

Kanak: what? Ur saying that, i should take bath here.

Lakshmi: don't get panic...it is not like that. Before going to the temple, ur going to take holy bath. First u will bath inside this curtain then we will take u to the river.

Kanak: but didi, i feel shy.

Lakshmi: bhabhisa don't worry, nobody will come here because nanisa ordered everyone. Before the ladies comes here with the cosmetics, u have change into this sandal colour saree. I will wait outside this curtains, u change into this.

Lakshmi goes outside

Kanak saying to herself ( what is this kanak beta, how will u sit like this, infront of the ladies. No ... Don't think too much. U have to this. And ladies are like my mother and grandma. So y r u worrying too much)

Kanak changed her clothes. She weared the saree covering her chest and rounded herself in that.The saree covered her up to the knee. Then she covered her neck potion with a towel, she calls lakshmi inside. Kanak feels shy.

Lakshmi: bhabhisa don't worry.

Ladies enters into the curtains one by one with cosmetics. Finally nanasi and grandma entered.

Nanisa: bhindhinisa sit in the middle of vessel. They will do the ritual.

Kanak: ji nanisa.

Kanak sits in the middle, all the ladies starting singing song. They took kanak's neck towel. Kanak feels shy.

Nanisa: bhindhinisa, don't worry, it is a holy bath, because ur came to ur in-laws house after leaving ur parents ahead. So, it is in -law's duty to take care of u. Here, in this ritual u r consider as a devi. Daughter in law will lead the family after her in-law. So, now ur having the power in ur hand. Before taking the power. U r pleased.

Grandma: yes, beta. Daughter in law is a kul devi.

Kanak smiles at them. All aunties sits around kanak. One of the aunty removes kanak's payal, and removes bangles. Then removes the mangalsutra.

Kanak: y they r removing my mangalsutra??

Grandma: don't worry beta, uma itself wear u that, in the ritual.

Aunties applies the haldi in the hands and legs of kanak. Then they applies in neck and back. They poured milk on kanak's body.

Kanak bath in the milk. Then they applies sandalwood paste all over kanak's body. This time, they washed kanak with rose water. Aunties teases kanak by saying uma's name. Kanak laughes. Kanak also enjoys that. Aunties praised kanak's beauty.

Nanisa and grandma enjoys looking at kanak's happiness.

Nanisa: lakshmi, come here.

Lakshmi: ji nanisa

Nanisa: go and bring the dress, that which we prepared for bhindhinisa. And come directly to the dressing room.

Lakshmi left.

Nanisa: bhindinisa, it is time for u to take bath in the river.

One of the aunty says, don't worry beta ur nanisa ordered everyone, not to come to the river. So no one will be there. By the way, we will cover u by four sides.

Kanak stands, all aunties covers kanak.

Lakshmi is on the way to get the dress. Lakshmi ran into uma.

Uma: lakshmi, where is kanak???

Lakshmi: dhadhusa, don't worry about bhabhisa, she is with nanisa.

Uma smiles, not like that.just i asked, because i didn't see her from the morning.

Have patience dhadhusa, she will be here soon.

Ok lakshmi, i will come directly to the temple.

Ji dhadhusa.

Uma walked toward the river. Kanak was bathing in the river already. Uma didn't notice her. Uma was taking bath straight left to kanak. Kanak was surrounded by curtains. One of the aunty loses the curtain in the corner. Uma gets up from the water. he stopped in between. Only his eyes were in the surface, his whole body was under the water. Uma stares at kanak, he mesmerized by her beauty. Kanak playing with her hair, her sandal colour saree attached with her body, her white skin sparkles in the sun light.

Kanak didn't notice uma, because, there were many bushes in the river.

Uma didn't move a inch, suddenly, the aunty covers kanak by the curtain.

Uma comes to consious, the first words he uttered is " she is my wife, she is mine, i love her, she is mine". Uma was strangely happy which he never felt before. Uma goes into the water again.when he Comes back, kanak was not there.

Uma realised that kanak has gone. Uma feels strange by his actitivies, uma says to himself, he should not see her half naked. Even though, she is his wife. He should control himself.

Uma leaves the river after taking bath.

In the dressing room. Nanisa gifts kanak, a yellow colour lehenga with beautiful rajasthani works in that.kanak likes that dress very much. Kanak thanked nanisa.

Kanak: thank u so much, this dress is so beautiful.

Nanisa: i know, u will like this.

Kanak changes her dress and comes out of the room.

Lakshmi: bhabhisa, ur looking so beautiful.

Nanisa: yes bhindhinisa, ur looking very pretty.

Grandma: she is pretty without wearing any jewels.

Nanisa: meri bhindhinisa is a gold, gold will be always beautiful.

Kanak smiles, kanak was wearing only her lehenga without any jewels. Her loose hair cover her back.

Nanisa asked everyone to take their plate, the plates filled with jewels, bangles, sindoor, mangalsutra and other items. Each aunties carried their plates and walked towards the temple.

Nanisa: now we are going the temple, their we will do the remaining rituals.

Kanak nodded her head.

Nanisa stopped kanak and put kaal teeka for her. All aunties goes front carring their plates, lakshmi walks along with kanak.

They reached the temple, everybody looks at kanak. And praising her beauty. Kanak has shy on her face, because she never experienced like this. She was treated like a princess.

Uma comes to the temple. Uma was in yellow kurta. He removes his shoes. When he entered into the temple, his kurta's end was strucked in the stairs edge. He tried to take out that. When he was taking that, two guys were talking

The guy with green t-shirt says, look there karthick, see

Karthick: what buddy?

See, what a beautiful girl. Look there ...

Karthick: yes buddy, she is really pretty.

Actually they are looking at kanak.

Uma was annoyed with these guys conversation, so he tried to take his kurta from the struck. When he turned back he looks at kanak, and mesmerized by her beauty. He keep on looking at her. And he was distracted by the guys. And he realised that they were looking at look at kanak. Uma stares at guys.

Karthick: she is so pretty, i am going to propose. I just fall in love her.

What??? U r going propose her?

Yes, i am serious, if she says yes means, i will marry her immediately.

I thought of, to court her, but you...

What , u also fall in love.

Y can't I, i saw her first, and i was about to tell u my heart, u broken everything. Its k. U like her.

Uma was annoyed by these guys.

Karthick: tell me some idea, how can i talk to her.

I think, she is a college girl, i am sure she will have mobile with her. Through phone, u can contact her.

Uma was getting more angry. He can't see that someone was admiring his wife's beauty. Uma feels jealous. He looks at kanak, she talking with lakshmi without noticing anything. In between, uma looks at this guys, where they are making planning to meet kanak. Uma gets angry, then he walks towards the guys, when he come across the two ladies,

Aunty-1: look at girl, how pretty she is...

Aunty-2: yes, she is really pretty, even without wearing any jewels,

Aunty-1: i think, she belong to well mannered family.

Uma was stopped by ladies conversation, and looks at kanak. Kanak gives the sweets to the nearby children. And she kisses the kids.

Aunty-2: this girl is so kind hearted, see how she is taking care of children. I wish her, to be my daughter in law.

Aunty-1: all the best for ur wish, it is hard to find a girl like this...

Uma is standing like a statue. He feels more jealous. And he don't know what to say. Then he looked around, everybody is watching only kanak. Kanak was unnoticed with these things. Uma feels, that he wanted to shout, that girl is my wife, she is mine. And, Uma control himself.

Nanisa and grandma watches uma, and laughs.

Grandma: i never saw uma like this.

Nanisa: this is called jealous.
