Hi am silent reader. I want to ask some questions to Uma'so supporters.
If u think Uma is not backward and he is doing right things then1. Why r u watching Television serial? According to him it's an addiction right2. Why r u using mobile, Internet etc ? These r all addiction.3. Do u really believe that women should be dasi of her husband after marriage?4. Do u really believe that women have no rights to take her own decision.5. Is it necessary to follow ur husband rules blindly?Just want to know ur opinions
Well said kanum this is the beauty of the story totally different from other soapsIn reality I think no one wants to support and marry a guy like Uma. Besides his sweet talks, his looks and charm it is difficult to live with him where you have to follow his rules and if broken get punished. A sensible girl would give some time to see if he changes his views on things and if not divorce this idiot and move on.
One thing good about this marriage is that there's no domestic violence. But him being religious doesn't mean he's a bad person. There's good and bad in his views and how he portrays them for example his religion has taught him to have sabr. Any guy who has a beautiful wife would want to have the physical relationship as soon as possible but for Uma though there's a beautiful girl next to him in the bed he doesn't think about the physical side of the relationship as he promised her. Lectures on phones television I thought he is right but that doesn't mean you can't own a phone. lectures on excess food is true, he does yoga looking after his health etc.
But then they also show the bad side of the religion like the drinking water from husband's feet part but did show what a normal girl would do and refuse to drink that.
So overall I feel it's such a good story where they are showing that people like Uma still exists and how it is good and bad and how with certain events in life he will come to realise. Starting point is tea addiction coming up where he will realise drinking tea is not so bad and there's more stories will crop up where they might in danger and Uma realises if he owned a mobile phone he could've contacted his family member or something. So i feel they will definitely show the changes and I am looking forward to seeing how that at the beginning an imperfect couple becomes the perfect couple and go beyond being soulmates.
In the meantime there's nothing wrong in wanting to see your favourite couple's onscreen romance and look forward to it daily. Even if it means that after a hectic day at work, stressful student life or a housewife, and look forward to sit down and just mesmerise this romance. even if it's fictional. I loved Disneys prince and princess stories but in reality we all know there's no perfect Prince Charming out there... well I suppose if ur lucky you may actually find one.
Coming out of the character I just want to enjoy Avi-Rhea's outstanding performances also and their hard work just to entertain us.
So for me so far TSMP has been entertaining and a treat to watch. thanking the makers for their unusual love story. After a long time enjoying daily soaps on another level.

We all like Uma as he doesn't preaches others but follows it strictly
We all want Uma to change it's perspective and enjoy his life rather than living with time table
No one agrees his perspective on wife and strongly opposing his persistence towards Kanak and not giving her time and space
It's tough to live like Uma in this era

First of all, it's nice to see silent members coming out into the open and becoming active on the forum...so thanks for this post 🤗
To answer your questions...I am not an Uma supporter...but even those here that are...acknowledge that he does have flaws...for that matter, so does Kanak.Objectively speaking...fandom doesn't necessarily mean people change their lives according to the person that is admired.Yes...Uma's thinking is dominated by his religious beliefs...but not everything he says or does is bad...and I think everyone on this forum...supporter or not... is looking forward to him becoming more open minded. And we are all looking forward to how Uma and Kanak actually become soulmates. 😛
