Why you can't hate Uma?

Few reasons..

Uma is not a character to be hate. The makers put him in such situations that he can be blamed, scolded, acused or whatever but not hated. They gave him beautiful traits which can balance his bad acts.

I cant hate him, infact i love him . He forced kanak for the marriage. He himself said , (when kanak left him )that if she didnt come back he would burn himself. He is such a staunch beleiver of dharam that has religious sanction.

As much as I feel for Kanak for the forced marriage and dharam stuff , god I feel so sorry for Uma when he comes to know the truth . When he was imagining that she is doing all this for him but when he comes to know all this was just a mirage he is gonna be heart broken big time . Poor guy and avi is a rockstar at portraying emotions , we are all gonna have a rollercoaster ride . This serial has got me addicted to the bones.

Uma was sorry for the way he married Kanak.. but is not sorry for marriage.. its like they are made for each other. They both tbonk in same line.. shivs gift.. Kanak can decypher Umas code language n he can read her mind...

Whenever I think of strong jiddi Uma.. i cant forget his soft side post marriage.. He becoming shadow for kanak at doorsteps.. then even though everybody was prompting.. he was too sure to not to force her for grihpravesh... sitting outside the bathroom ...

Then many Kerala scenes.. the right to keep secrets ... jumping in front of cow just to get her purse.. all means to protect her.. may it be a cupboard drawers.. or crabs in sea.. in fact in that scene he stood besides Kanak like rock in front of palomi... sharing everything with her.. the pain of dharam ka stamp

Even in seeta geeta roles.. he always wanted to protect her first.. onion- mint or during phone sequence he managed his family...

It was only when Kanaks jalebi chapter he has become furious.. even Kanak is aware of her mistakes..

He supported her .. by giving sweets from Kanak mishthan bhandar or that medicines...

He was aware that it is too much to expect to drink the water... his exlression.. but he was helpless in front of his dharma.. something which he has practiced for 30 yrs..

But he is soft... as seen yesterday again...

With so much love in him.. how can somebody hate him

I think another reason the character of Uma Shankar stands out is because of his way of following religion and calm sense of mind. These days Male leads like Dev Dixit and Shivay Singh Oberoi are like atom bombs ready to burst in front of the heroine, but Uma is different. He handles every situation calmly with smile on his face. Also we don't see many leads so much into the idea of God or Bhagwan. Previously every other female leads used to be ardent followers of religion. But I don't think there has been any male lead who believes in God so profoundly.
