Hey there all the lovely people.
Direct episode discussion today.

Sometimes in life it's better to take a step back rather than compromise on self respect and fall in the bottomless pit of non existence. Sometimes it's better to fail, if passing/success is going to ruin your future. Self respect is that one thing that has no price... be it gareeb ki Beti or hi ti upper class, it knows no social class, caste or creed. One is often stuck in a rut, with no direction and the only thing that would give direction asks price too hefty -- there would be thoughts that 'do it and get done with it' but does it really end there. I don't ask for supremacy, but that line which need to exist between being human and a doormat. .

I watched the whole episode in constant fear that Kanak might appear from somewhere and sit in the pooja, for she had drunk that water, and was 'pure' now. I loved the way Kanak stood up for herself, she made it clear that her family might not be this dharmic but still they have values and self respect is important. She refuses to drink and turns away from the success that lay in the bowl, the water that reflected Uma. Massi jumps on her and takes of the necklace, she tried her ancient trick that 'every girl desires jewels' and Kanak for that piece of jewelry might think about her decision. Uma as ever looked only in one direction, straight ahead, avoiding Kanak, his expressions tell two tales one of betrayal and other of helplessness. Betrayal that Kanak rejected him in front of char log or helplessness that he can't do anything against dharm.
Kanak meets shiv, he asks her to come along for the pooja but Massi takes him away and Kanak is left alone.

Life is interesting, what's goes around comes around. Uma today was left with a picture of his wife, instead of her own being, despite being in that same house. This is his karma, slapping him in the face, that dude this you did to other person now face it yourself. What happened with Payal was a crime, an abhorrent life sentence but her revenge wasn't one bit sweet today. It was just revenge. I couldn't find satisfaction in her revenge against US. What I could see was a conniving woman, for whom only the position matters, jewels matter. It might be revenge against US, but in the process she made an innocent suffer, Kanak was shattered, her tears couldn't make you uncomfortable... hence your revenge also remains tasteless.

I don't understand how when or whether Kanak had accepted Uma as her husband, this family as hers... but today she was pushed to a limit, she broke, she fell, she got hurt, she cried but she is still there. She wanted Uma to stand for her, it's as every wife wants, no matter how independent a lady is, husbands support is always required, especially in front of in laws. It's a husbands dharm, his responsibility to respect his wife so others can follow example. Kanak unconsciously expected support and help from Uma, she was hurt but not surprised by his behavior. Because she knows the importance he places on women in his life. Uma again has fallen from her grace, not that he was ever there but still one has that idea/notion that this is a human being. But Uma failed her today. Kanak failed in her dasi dharm task but there are others and she is more determined to achieve her goal now, for now she has realized that no matter how much she does, they can never fully appreciate her worth or effort. She has made up her mind to focus on the shop rather than living up to their expectations. - I want Kanak to stand on her feet, for herself, her respect, her right... but please let her remain sensible, calm and sober.
Payal might have won the round but she lost herself in the battle. But Kanak lost but won herself.. aur jo haar kar bhi jeet jaye usse bazigar kehte hai 😉

Yes. And this time it didn't only involved her, but also her family's values.

I watched the whole episode in constant fear that Kanak might appear from somewhere and sit in the pooja, for she had drunk that water, and was 'pure' now.

I already knew that she won't sit in the puja, and drink that shuddhi water. Because it would have only egged them and their rules on. And after remembering her family and their values, it was abvious that she would stay away.

Massi jumps on her and takes of the necklace, she tried her ancient trick that 'every girl desires jewels' and Kanak for that piece of jewelry might think about her decision.

Yes. Masisa used the same trick once, when kanak was made to dress up on those heavy clothes, at first kanak said no, but later on she agreed and masisa thought it was because of the jewels she showed.

Uma as ever looked only in one direction, straight ahead, avoiding Kanak, his expressions tell two tales one of betrayal and other of helplessness. Betrayal that Kanak rejected him in front of char log or helplessness that he can't do anything against dharm.

He was torn between thinking about his wife's happiness and his dharm.

Uma today was left with a picture of his wife, instead of her own being, despite being in that same house. Indeed. Who knows if that was even revenge or just another plan to get more power in the house. The very house in which she was brought after being married to that pic, the very house for which she turned into a villain. Kanak was never unsure of what she would do next, and that would be to do what she wanted, according to her choice. Kanak handed payal the ticket to escape. Payal came back by her choice, because she wanted ti. Payal is staying in that house by her choice, because she want to. Payal could have always left, but she didn't and that was her decision.

I don't understand how when or whether Kanak had accepted Uma as her husband, this family as hers... but today she was pushed to a limit, she broke, she fell, she got hurt, she cried but she is still there. That would be the best thing kanak can do in that house.

Amazing post by the way. ! Loved all the details you wrote up. 😊

Umm after today is it even a question... there was no insight towards what Uma felt or did. He just sat like a mum dummy, part of the ritual part of endorsement.

@Zaisha1- hey there .. thank you for the wonderful details.

-well I don't think the family was dragged in between. This was about Kanak, how degrading it was to her.. she accepted washing his feet and took on slavery as she called it. But drinking it was about her self respect that she refuses to be a doormat, there is a line which she cannot cross. She walked away from it shows maturity.

- it's a show and anything could have happened. And I am so glad happy that Kanak didn't drink and stayed away from the pooja. Yes accepting to drink that would have implemented their upper hand by hook or crook. And they needed to be shown that Kanak cannot be arm twisted.

-Massi is a typical old hag. One moment she smiles at Kanak and next she spew bitterness.

- US was torn ... but as he doesn't let his emotions surface one cannot say for sure what he was thinking. What way he was torn more.

- the Fb which were shown when Payal brought the picture showed karma butch slapping US. It might be her revenge or not who knows ... but still it was revenge. Kanak was forced into that house, but the moment she stepped on the door she knew here her mission would take place and she came in, did antics did whatever she thought was necessary. She even ran away only to discover that she had to return. She came back did more antics. It was never planned they they hatched on instinct and instantly that's why she failed miserably in them. But now when she is sober and level headed there is victory in her failure.
Payal on the other hand is a sheep. She just follows blindly. Would she plot such plans against Kanak when her mother is gone. Does she have a mind of her own. Or just a person who blames herself and others for whatever happens to her.

Oh you don't know how much I wanted to read about Uma standing up and supported her while reading your post and he didn't, I am very disappointed in him :( I mean whatever happened to the Uma who stood up/against palomi when he barely knew her.

Where have that Uma gone? I want that guy back as soon as possible (CV PLS) I mean I know Kanak has done some pretty much wrong stuff to doubt but still as man who clam to be madly in love or at least look like it, you have got to know when to stand by your wife.

As for Payal less said about her the better because what she did today was at the cost of the only person thinking and looking out for her all for the sakes of some stupid golds and money.

Hey there

Today is not the day when Uma stood up for his wife. And I am really glad he didn't... Kanak has a mind of her own and feet of her own. She can decide and stand for herself. She doesn't need Uma in everything... Uma today is once bitten twice shy, he covered up for her way too much. He made us pretty clear that he is ready to give her up, it was Kanak who pleaded for a second chance. Today US remained true to his character, his stance and decision. Whereas what Kanak went through is not all decent or humane. It's like belittling the existence of a woman/wife... putting her on the feet and making her drink that water. What weird way to cleanse 😲
Kanak wasn't surprised that Uma didn't take a stand for her, but she was hurt nonetheless. Because he at every turn said pati is to protect wife etc etc. but Kanak had to make up her mind and beware of everyone.

Payal put Kanak through all this for what ?? Money position, undermining her in front of family -- what does it get her... respect and importance in family is earned not plotted.

Thanks Orion for quick update nad hey blue good to see u early today :p
That was a really good episode... Kanak stood up for herself and don't know about uma... Was he angry or hurt?

Have to say what payal did was too good... Photo se shadi karayi now experience the same uma shankar... Photo ke saath pooja me baitho...

Kanak did expect uma to stand for her and he didn't... She accepted that she failed in dasi dharam but I want uma to tell her that she passed the test

Didn't understand when she said u have been fighting for them but now fight for self? When was she... All she wanted was shop whatever she did was for shop... Confused...

So eventually she accepted the marriage and family... But if so what will ahe do after getting the shop papers?

I want one kanum convo in tomorrow epi pls... They need to talk

Btw payal messed up with kanak. And Kanak stood for herself realised she is all alone will need to fight her own battle and not others
Payal came up with a photo. Maybe to make uma realize how it feels

Ek teer se 2 nishan.
