Hey there all the lovely people.
Apologies for a late post, but ain't something better than nothing.
Women are as equal a human as men, end of story for me. Neither is superior or inferior, by whatever career or life routes they chose. Men has been bread winner for as long as history runs its course, but that grain of wheat which men harvested was grounded by women and make to flour from which they produced bread. Bringing wheat was never enough alone, there had to be the second wheel in action to get it in bread shape. Man and women have always been two pieces of the same puzzle, different yet they join together no matter what the situation is.
It might be the modern age. Women is out there in space, she is everywhere, be it a doctor, engineer, teacher, scientist, even a trash picker, anything and everything. Even the woman at home, who is a house maker is not inferior from working woman. She works at home for the family, it's no way different or easier than working outside be it in a rice field or office.
Kanak today while washing the clothes made it seem disgusting a chore. As if that chore was somehow not up to her standards. She was forced to do it, but didn't she herself ruin them in the first place. Why is it that she cannot admit and own up her prank and pay for it. -- I might seem harsh, but playing woman card while Kanak herself is in the wrong, doesn't sit well with me.
Coming to the second part of the episode, US comes to get Kanak, but she asks for more time to put away things, self thought that when she doesn't believe in the marriage then way do the rituals.. she is trying to stall US, but he steps in and helps her put away her things. They walk out of the room and Kanak intentionally gets her dress torn. She says she cannot do the pooja in the dress, US takes her inside and makes her stand in front of the mirror. He takes the remaining doori out from the blouse and pulls a thread from the flower garland, he fixes her blouse with the thread and Kanak looks on at his reflection in the mirror, sometimes lost in him, sometimes feeling nervous and seem discomforted. There was nothing romantic about US fixing her dress, being this close, touching her bare back, there were no sparks of any kind... It's the direction of the scene, that was beautiful, it had full potential of intimacy being explored in their relationship, but it was kept fully platonic. US did not ogle her bare back, nor did Kanak have a hyperventilating breathing attack. It was a fabulous scene, that whatever Kanak ends up doing, US would be the one to stitch back the torn pieces. His thoughts have the purity and patience required with Kanak. They both have wonderful scenes in front of the mirrors, they both together in reflection but still they are not there.
Precap-- Kanak finds alcohol in US' lab and thinks up a plan.
