Hey there all the lovely people.
I swear I wasn't going to make a post today, then some weird nonsensical things started dancing in my mind and I had to write. Please bear me.
A mistake is something one did thinking it was right but it was wrong. A sin is something that you know is wrong.
US is still in the dilemma whether his action was a mistake or a sin. He is unable to give it a definite name. He very comfortably announces that he is a human, he too can make mistakes, he might have misunderstood the signs of God. He says if he is wrong then he has sinned to have forced a parayi woman, to have touched a parayi woman. And for he has sinned he would burn himself in fire, for that's the only way to purge.
What US doesn't realize is the consequences of his action. First he just forcefully married a girl off the street, just because he thought it was signs from God, he lived with her, made her a part of the family, of himself and did all rituals. It was all about himself... now that his wife has run away it's still about himself. That if she doesn't return, he would consider it a sin and self exhume himself. Why does it have to be about himself, why not look out for the wife, try to find her, persuade her, and try to start new beginnings, try something atleast.. come out of your hermit state and get your brains out of the self medicated house you have.
He is calm and in turmoil at the same time, unable to define the type of Kanak his wife is, is she gold that he should be happy/content/fortunate to have or was she an intoxication, a drug that turned his head.
It's this inability of US to understand Kanak that makes him so perplexed. When would he step out of his comfort zone?? He is the all knower to his family and Ladno, but there is still so much that he doesn't know or acknowledge. He is ignorant in his own way. Add to this Massi line, that US is not what he seems.. who is US then?? ---- hope I am making sense here. Because I am addled brain today.
The episode wasn't much of an entertainer, I loved Vansh -- can I love more men that I can count đ Vansh came and asked everyone what happened, he accuses Bhabho that she waited for this opportunity when he was absent so she could throw out Kanak. Vansh has a tongue and two feet to stand on.
Kanak had her share of liners, They were good, but the slow pace of the show is a damper.
P.s -- not going to be commenting on dharm today-- somethings might be beyond my petty understanding and I don't want to ruffle any feathers.
